November and December 2024

League 

We have hit some form and we are still unbeaten in the league. Just after half way point we are 21 points clear above 2nd and Spennymoor is who we play next. We will have a new keeper from 1st, so the form might start to get ropy. 

FA Cup

Except the first game against Maidstone we are also in good form in the cup. We play Leicester next, and unfortunately home. I don't have much hopes but going to replay would be nice.

League

A mixed month, as we have lost our first 2 games in the league this season. Was saving the team for FA Cup hence the results I guess.

As expected Leicester have easily beaten us in 3rd round.

A draw against Stowmarket is annoying as they are in relegation zone. All in all, giving our form this season we should have smashed them, but sadly it will not last forever

Worst intake of the save. No wonder as all our requests have been rejected due to poor finances.

Mixed month. Another draw against a team fighting for relegation and a loss against Kiddermister, however we received 2 red cards in that game, so it is understandable.

After amazing start of the season this was a formality  We win the league with 5 games to spare !

We have hit some form at the end of the season. Although we have won the title already we are not stopping.

Managed to win last 2 of 3 games and got our points total to over 100. Really happy how this season went. We are one step closer to getting into the football leagues. Beginning of the season and going over 20 games unbeaten really helped us out. Off we go to play in Vanarama National

FA CUP

Reaching third round was great, wish we had played it away to help our finances, but haven't been lucky with the draws.

This game came after we played Maidstone in the FA Cup and they have had their revenge, I don't really mind as we had enough games to play.

Yet again Liam Waldock has been performing exceptionally, on other front our new goalkeeper Ryan Whitley who we signed in January have not impressed. we will definitely be looking for new players for next season.

Thanks ! I think 2 main players this season were Liam Waldock who over the course of the season made 265 key passes which over double the amount of next player. And other player was Michael Klass who we had on loan last season and managed to sign him this season, he contributed to 21 goals and 3 assists playing as SS.

Don't know why but it turns out that Vanarama National starts in October :O Friendlies as expected and no goals conceded, but played against lower rep except from Barnet

League

Umpf.. the league is finally here. Started in October and now will probably have to play every few days so fatigue will be high, and we do not have a lot of depth this season. But we still managed to have a heck of a start. The loans and new signings have adapted really quickly to the team, hence the results. I fully rotated agains Eastleigh as it was game after FA CUP where I played first team.

Played first team to get to 1st round, A good result, next up is Rochdale in League 2

League

Mixed results this month, load of rotations doesn't seem to help. we are still in 3rd, but could drop to 4th if Altrincham win their game in hand. 

FA CUP

Managed to get through to 2nd round, Rochdale scored in 80th and 85th to pull 2 back but we managed to hold it. Stevenage up next, they are also in League 2.

League

A month of draws. We have drawn against teams near the end of the table and managed to squeeze a win against Yeovil. We are sat in 4th but it is very close, we can be out of playoff place with one game. The amount of games is really hindering us.

Managed to go through Stevenage and off to FC United next who are 2 divisions below us ! should be able to get through to 4th round.

I class this as not important, we did howeveer manage to get through to 4th round.

Again a mixed month. we however won against Southend again ! We are still in playoff spot.

Expectedly we won against FC United, and now we host Watford

Good month in terms of results, but very stressful in terms of team availability, We had our top striker loan finish, second striker poached as he has been on MTM contract. One of our backup AMC have been sold for 200k, the other backup AMC have been poached. We then had issues with getting quality replacements as our wage budget was over the limit.... 

We are still holding up in playoff places  with 6 point gap above 8th.

League

Loads of games this month, playing almost every 3 days. After ropey start we have briefly dropped out of playoff spots, but then somehow we managed to pickup form and managed to win 6 games in the row, they are mostly against mid table or lower half table teams. With around 7-8 games till the end of the season we managed to pull 13 point gap within playoffs. Hope we can keep this up as was not expecting this form.

Booked a plae in Semi Final of FA Trophy, where we will play Gateshead.

League

A tough month, only 2  points on the board, but we have guaranteed playoff spot.

A shame losing in extra time but then Gateshead beat us in the league as well.

May 2026

With 7 points out of 9 we are off to the playoffs. 

 

 

Playoffs 

Notts County is our first opponent, however our head to head does not fare well ahead of the game.

A good win sees us advance to Playoff Semi Final where we will meet Southend. 

 

Our head to head is encouraging against Southend, we have eliminated them from both cups and beat them in the league.

Unfortunately we lost 2,1. It was pretty even game, until we had left back getting sent off. I think we still have done really good job this season to get to the playoffs. Hopefully we can have more quality squad depth next season.

Season 2025/2026 Review

 

Vanarama National

I think we have overperformed this season with finishing 5th, a loss against Southend hurts as we have won 4 previous games with them, but we can get another crack at Vanarama Natonal. I think the main problem this season was us not converting the chances that we had. If we can get a decent striker option for next season this maybe will change, On the below ss it shows Board Expectation as Mid Table, however this have changed over the season as initially they expected avoiding relegation. All in all I am happy about this result.

 

FA CUP

I think we have also done pretty well in the FA CUP, although we didn't play away to PL side, the fact that we rent a bigger stadium and managed to fill it up when playing Watford was a good thing and we only lost narrowly.

Initially was ignoring this cup, until we reached sort of quarter final. A shame that we couldn't beat Gateshead as they finished below us in a table

Our Merch doubled since last season lol But it is good to see greens up everywhere.

As mentioned above we are above the line in balance. First time we managed to do it in 4 years. We have also had our new wage and transfer budgets given for next season, so we have a bit of wages to spend for improvements.

Sheffield Clubs Watch 

Sheffield United got promoted to PL yet again since we started to monitor this, and again via playoffs. Are they becoming a yoyo club ?  

Sheffield Wednesday managed to hold on to League 1, however they are deteriorating a bit, again their facilities taken a small hit comparing to previous season and club value went down again. We are 2 leagues away from them.

Pre-26/27 Season

Friendlies

Quite good results, but we played against lower reputation teams to make sure the team is happy and to build cohesion. 

 

We are predicted to finish 16th, so above the relegation spots, I think that we can try and overachieve and fight for playoff spots again.

Oldham and Stevenage are newcomers to the league who dropped from League Football and they are right at the top of predictions. 

FC Halifax, Dartford, Kings Lynn and Havant & W are teams promoted from lower divisions.

League

Mixed results in the first month of the season. After first game I thought that we are going to have better runs then last season, but game against Barnet quickly showed us where we are. Hopefully the team well jell later on and we can pick up a form. 

FA CUP

We rotated and managed to go past South Shields in FA cup qualifying. In first round we play against Boreham Wood, who we have played on few occasions and our Head to Head looks promising

Takeover

Takeover has been completed, funny that the new boss is saying that he wants to put the club on sound financial footing and then takes a loan to balance the books. And then he kills our link with Nottingham which was providing us extra money.
