Analysing a rotten performance. Advice appreciated

Recommended Posts

So, in all fairness looking at Xg this really wasn’t too bad. Should have been 1-1. Taking into account FMs penchant for giving you a hiding after a long winning streak there are still problems to be fixed. 2 v high quality player’s performed terribly. Looking at the player stats it’s not immediately apparent as to why they scored so low. Considering the location of the goals, I would also blame Romero more than his CB partner.

questions I ask are….

1) do we trust player ratings or use your own judgement?

2) what stats should I be analysing in player performance?

3) and should I have man marked CR7? I never MM CFs as they always seem to drag my players out of position so it feels like complete waste of time.

cheers for any suggestions 3564F361-6EFA-46DE-BE91-7215B05D0F36.thumb.png.575cfe15ebaecb344dcf5ef428396ecf.png

I don’t see how player ratings can be trusted at all considering they change depending on the players position on the pitch. Have an AM? Forget about getting ratings consistently higher than fullbacks, for example.

That’s disappointing!

Can't see the stats, but then, it's how you interpret them I guess.

I have a defender getting low ratings, but his pass rate is high, his aerial wins are high. Only anomaly is he's not making tackles, so maybe that's why he's being hammered on the ratings? Things like that basically.

Yes posting the stats would be TIMI!

it seems like an anomaly match but that makes it more frustrating. Thank you for your perspective
