Pretty decent first intake.

Sadly no Japanese player, but a lot of nations.

 

Apparently the best one is Bloemen, but I rate the Togolese Ananou waaaaaaaaay higher.

I did couple season with Virton last year and in my memory there will be a lot of nations after couple of intakes.

End Of Season Review 2021/22

Delighted with this season. I didnt expect this.

Pretty decent team.

I already made some free transfers, which hopefully brings in some quality and depth.

And more important, some Belgian player to ease the registration.

I decided to pull the clause for de Medina, I think 500k+500k over two years is a good deal for him.

Currently they are blocking transfers, I need to sign a player which is based in Japan first.

This will be almost impossible at the moment, there are only 16/17 y/o children there.

Sadly the Belgian teams are doin that great in Europe, so the league dropped.

The preseason went really well on the pitch, but off the pitch, this preseason was really intense.

I was scared to hit continue, because every transfer I did is based on another transfer.

 

Hopefully we can smash Mechelen and can take our form into the first big test of the season against Brugge.

Nope.

I forgot to tick on "add players to playable teams" so Japan is almost completely empty.

The first set of regens spawned there and there are 2-3 players, which I got an eye on.

Hopefully I can bring them next season in once they are 18.

 

At the moment the board doenst really care, despite beein devastated again.

This summer I focused heavily on bringing in Belgian players to ease the registrations.

But I wanted a player from Iran, this one the board blocked.

 

Also this summer was all about the finances. I think I done wonders here, which I will show later in the evening.

5 players where already in the starting formation against Mechelen and all got green numbers.

Went down 0:2 and managed to get the draw.

....and PSV scored again two goals.

Maybe we can do something in the home leg or we play Conference League.

We went up 2:0 in the first half. But the pressure was one time to strong and PSV scored the one goal they needed.

Transfer & Squad Overview - Summer 2022 Part 1

 

I already mentioned this was an intense transfer summer.

At the start the board rejected some deals, but in the end they trusted me.

 

OUT

We made over 5 mio this summer!

We sold Suzuki and Matsubara back to Japan for roughly 1,5 Mio.

6-7 KSA teams where interested in Kagawa, so I offered him out for 1 mio and all 6-7 sent a 1 mio bit.

 

We even sold our backup bkacup keeper to Qatar for 56k.

Jhonny Lucas was a Brazlian, which started loaned out. So this is also a nice bonus.

 

And on deadline day we sold Haye also to KSA. He was decent, but he started to moan about gametime.

We bought him for 275k and sold him for 1,4 mio. Nice profit.

 

IN

We spent under 2 mio for some much needed depth and quality.

We payed the option for de Medina and he is sharing game time with Odoi, who is coming back to Belgium after his Fulham spell.

Heylen is an improvement to Matsubara, which is also Belgian.

Boffin is also coming home and will give Schmidt some competitition. This free one is a steal, if I see his attributes.

 

Three great loans to fill the squad, we got for all an option to buy.

To please the board, we loaned in Meshino from ManCity. So far he is surprisingly good.

Onana I wanted last season too, but he went to Boavista. Now he is finally here.

OK, this was one was for me. My boy Muenta went to Porto last winter. I saw he was loan listed and I said why not.

 

I watched 3 Belgian players with ending contracts for the past 6 months.

Big Benteke, Jordan Lukaku and Charly Musonda.

Benteke went quickly to Spain, sadly I hadnt any wage budget at this moment.

Lukaku turned my offer down and went to QPR...

But Musondo signed a pretty cheap deal and can use us a stepping stone. He got a 2 mio release clause.

At the moment this boy is on fire! Finally he can play some football.

 

And on deadline we sold Haye, so we needed a replacement.

We found him in the Iraqi international Attwan, which joins us from Al-Shamal out of Qatar.

Really happy with this position.

Man if Bottin would be 3-4 years younger, he would be such a nice player to develop a young keeper behind him.

Leistner will be the exception in the save. He was already here and he just toooooo good. Also he is now our captain.

With Heylen he got a nice partner and Buatu will be a decent backup.

Only three "real" CBs, but all wingbacks can cover.

Not really happy  with the wingbacks.

The right side is ok with de Medina and Odoi, but the left side is uff...

Cacace got great stats, but he is honestly sh*t. He rarely performs.

Lavelee was here last season and since I had not much wage budget at the start of the season, I extended the loan.

Yes that the Musonda. He is back in Belgium and already showing we can do.

Honda will be his backup.

Steuckers is a great prospect, but he broke his leg and got shin splints last season -> 8 months on the injury list.

They also can cover all 3 attacking positions.

Hayashi will a be our main guys this season again, he started really well.

Muenta will need some time, but hopefully can challenge Hayashi.

Okazaki will the mentor for all of them. Ananou will still play with the U19, but get the odd game here and there.

Yes I needed to think about this for a little bit.

If Anderlecht didnt took him out for over 2 month, he would probably be here. But after his injury every physical dropped alteast by 1.

So I take the money to get this club in the right direction.

Kagawa is now on 1,2 mio per year there, I think he dont really mind.
