Lone-striker useless??

How do you use lone-strikers?

Lone-strikers don't score lot of goals, no matter what you do in the game. It always like 10 goals in 40 matches, and that even if your team score like 80 goals in a season. The wingers however keep bumping goals.

I have tried everything, but it dosen't work. I have tried the following:

* Tried every formation which use a lonestriker

* Tried different roles to the lonestriker: Complete Forward, False 9 and so on.

* Tried to change roles to the other players on the pitch, who support the lonestriker

* Tried different players like: Lewandowski, Mbappe, Belotti and so on.

* Tried different teams with high morale, club vision and so on.

 

BUT IT STILL DOSEN'T WORK!!! 

Do you have the same experience??

I'm surprised to hear that.  Can you post your tactics?

Intuitively, I'm thinking you're getting the ball hit out wide and wingers putting away far-post crosses.  Is that about right?

I am not having that problem. I play 433 DM wide and my lone striker does wonders in AF-At. You just need to set your tactic around him.

Also CF-At is pretty much a creative role when they are isolated at top, and just becomes a killer once the defence is in low block.

F9 is a creative role also.

So if You want your Striker to be the main scoring outlet play him AF-At or P-At.

Well, i am surprised that you are surprised. Because there is lot of topics about this issue. And there is no solution. 

No, i don't play particular wide. As i said, i have tried all tactics and formations. Still the same.

I have tried Advanced Forward role, and actually thats the worse of them all. 

Whenever i use a Lone-striker, the player always get around 6,5 in match rating and rarely score. And yes, i have tried every formation and tactics.

See, like, I can't get my wingers to score for toffee, but my striker does OK.  In my tactic the striker's kind of a pivot, with goals spread across the team, but he still got 16 last year in 28 games.  I'm playing him as a pressing forward on attack.  I think the key is to have lots of supportive runners to pull defenders away.

That's fine, I have no problems with my lonely striker. So I am sorry you do.

Well it would be very helpful if you post your tactics. A lone striker not scoring is not about the formation, it’s about how it’s all put together.
