Promotion playoff

I have a 20-subleague lower competition, 10 places available for promotion, each league champion gets a playoff place and the playoff is a single-round two-legged tie between 10 pairs of champions, the winners of the ties get promoted.

I have set up a stage in the parent competition for this, yet wonder which type (cup, league, group) it should be and how the league fates should be allocated.

I have tried once with 'cup', but that did not work, no team was promoted, I am looking at group, but in this case, there would be no extra time+penalties in case of identical results for both games. What is the correct way to set up a playoff stage like this?

Set simple cup stage with 20 teams. Make sure you have correct settings under teams section - get qualified teams from stage - set competition and stage index where teams come from. Also set main stage name - in your case use same stage name where teams are qualified. Promotion playoff or whatever you used.

When you create round set that stage name here - leave stage name under general tab blank.

Set fate actions - for winner set fate promoted and for loser - set fate - no fate.

Click on "find stage in child comps".

I have tried to follow this, I guess my previous fault with the cup setup was not using the set fate actions in the cup menu.

This is the current status:

However, the 10 losers remain in the parent competition after the playoff, what do I need to set so that they are brought back to their regional divisions?

I wanted to do the dynamic relegation a bit later, but it seems I need to introduce a slight change here already with one more team getting relegated from divisions with no promotion for the champions.

Megye I munkafájl 2.fmf

It's between divisions 3 and 4 the playoff, for the time being I just set 2 clubs to be relegated and promoted between levels 4 and 5. Needs to be improved later, but probably needs the extra relegation spot for even the playoff above to work properly.

Cheers. I assumed you would have to let the program know that the stage they are being transferred to is in the joint bit of the competition. It seems to work now. Time to figure out how to do the dynamic relegation with a max of 10 teams coming from above...

Why did you use "joint competition" option?

Often rookie mistake - just click on something. It doesnt matter what that option is.

Now, if I set the losers of the playoff games as 'qualified',

And in the dynamic relegation, I get these teams,

Should I get as assumed, the unpromoted champion of this particular league in the dynamic relegation system?

I dont wanna be rude but you dont know the basics of advanced editor. Dynamic relegation system is simply too much for you.

You should learn how to set simple things like fate actions.

This is really friendly advice - dont waste your time with this if you wanna skip learning steps.

Ah, I see

I still need to expand this for all 19 other sub-divisions as well, but I can qualify the losing teams directly for the relegation stage

and then have them in the dynamic relegation sandwich below the relegated teams from the division above

Another way would be to get the first-placed team in the league stage, and additionally exclude all teams who have won promotion in the playoffs.

Would 'Get qualified teams from stage' as the above screen work, but ignoring the teams, and them being qualified for the third division? There is no such option as to 'Get Promoted League Stage Teams' as opposed to the relegated ones.
