shaunvamos Posted June 24, 2022 Author Share Posted June 24, 2022 Chapter VIII: Return to the UK This is a surprise to me, as the last time I checked I was going to be in Austria next. But I think Rangers' exploits in Europe pushed them above. I'm looking forward to moving up through the lower divisions again, and have never managed in Scotland before, but a from what I've seen it looks to be quite fun! I've joined Stenhousemuir, a small Scottish town of less than 10,000 people and about halfway between Glasgow and Edinburgh. They are semi-professional, but their facilities are far better than anyone else's in Scottish League Two. The only negative would be that they have no Junior Coaching and Youth Recruitment, but I'll be able to change that in due course. A quite obvious step down in quality compared to Breda But the journey is going to be just as fun! All the leagues from the United Kingdom and Ireland are playable, as well as the top leagues from the remaining "Big Five". In conjunction with the self imposed rules I can only sign players of English, Irish, Scottish, Northern Irish and Welsh nationality/2nd nationality. 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I’ve managed in Scotland, once before but that was during a British Steel challenge and that’s where the save died. Having said that I didn’t get to Scotland until about 7 years after the start of the game and also had only the worst team at the bottom of the Scottish football pyramid to choose from. Central Defender Central Midfielder Striker There's also this guy, who can't join until he's 18 but we can play him as a triallist in the DM position: We do okay in the League Cup, but everyone is just trying to adjust their to the new tactic and positioning. Transfers (In) A big influx of players for money, with a majority of them deferred payments. Goalkeeper Central Defenders Wing Backs Central Midfielder Striker Beat Hamilton in the League Cup which was impressive, and overall a good showing. Predicted last, but that's okay. I had to jump into the editor and give us an academy/youth recruitment because even though we had plenty of money the club "didn't have the funds". As soon as I went and edited to have an academy, all of a sudden they were happy to upgrade. Wing Backs Central Midfielder Strikers This was definitely our best showing in the League Cup to date, with a win over Championship side Inverness and pushing Aberdeen in our opener. I'm not feeling too much of a constraint yet, but maybe once bigger clubs start swooping in on our players. I use instant result, it makes things so much quicker! I went a little overboard, signing a couple more players who can play a first team role. Transfers (In) A big influx of talent here, as well as some loan backs from our transfers. It's a completely new look side for the season, with heavy reliance on loans again, which will likely be the case until we go pro.
