Can't get top seed to be given a bye

I have set up a top playoff with seven teams after a league stage.

Teams 2-6 are supposed to play, and then team 1 joins in the semis.

I thought I had all the seedings and settings right, but it always puts 1-6 in the playoff round and then adds the 7th overall team in the next round, rather than the other way around.

Any insight/assistance would be greatly appreciated!

From the looks of it you don't have something in place to make sure you exclude the highest seeded team in the first round. Thinking how to do that.
