Newcastle close in on title

Another up and down session for Newcastle who are brilliant one week and distinctly average the next.

After our last game, the 7-0 win over Liverpool, i was confident we could carry on the form and wrap up the Premiership title but some poor performances mean we will have to wait until officially crowned champions for the second year running.

Newcastle 2-1 Southampton

Scorers : Sonko, Morgan

A poor start as we struggled to clinch the victory and didnt put away our chances

Aston Villa 2-0 Newcastle

Scorers : n/a

It got worse though as we lost to Fran's Villa with their assistant in charge. A slightly weaker team with some players rested but we were never in the hunt and were soundly beaten.

Marseille 0-4 Newcastle (Champions League QF 1st Leg)

Scorers : Morgan, Jenas, Todorov, Rungratsmee

Back to our best with this result. Clinical finishing and solid defending meant we basically guaranteed passage through to the Semi Finals.

Newcastle 1-0 Portsmouth

Scorer : Braathen

A tight match against Ant's portsmouth that was decided by a 90th minute goal. Unlucky for ant but we just about deserved it. However another nervy performance that didnt impress anyone.

Newcastle 4-0 Marseille (Champions League QF 2nd Leg)

Scorers : Renato, Dyer, Rungratsmee, Zonneveld

With the result never in doubt so top names were rested but we still strolled to victory, winning 4-0 on the night and 8-0 on agg. We seem to be able to perform in the champions league consistently at the moment but not in the league.

Newcastle 2-0 Spurs

Scorers : Morgan, Braathen

Chris' Spurs came to Newcastle after beating us in the reverse leg some time ago. This match was different though as we dominated. Our 26 shots on goal to their 0 highlighted the one way traffic and Chris' assistant was lucky to come away with only a 2-0 defeat.

Sunderland 0-2 Newcastle

Scorers : Sonko, Hughes

Our B team did the business here as we rested players for the Champions league game. A solid win over Barnsey's Suderland although it was more even than the score suggests.

Newcastle 1-1 Man Utd

Scorer : Braathen

The big game of the session for us and slightly disappointing. We had the chances but needed a 90th minute equaliser to take to the away leg. It will be very difficult to get a result at Old trafford but i suppose it depends which Newcastle team turns up on the night. Whatever happens we will give it our best shot.

Monday session

Bolton 3-4 WBA

Scorers: Walters, De Baere, Nolan

An entertaining start to what turned out to be an alright session for manager Lee Owens. He may of lost a few in this session but the new formation seemed to be working and not conceeding as many. This game bolton thought was gonna be over very early as wba were 3-1 up at one stage. Both teams then went down to 10 men and bolton started to play better and pulled back 2 goals to make it 3-3. A late goal for aida's side seperated the two teams.

Bradford 1-1 Bolton

Scorers: Pedersen

With more players scoring with this new formation bolton are starting to look a lot better. A well deserved point for bolton in this game but they were lucky to get that point.

Bolton 2-1 Wigan

Scorers: De Baere, Nolan

A great victory here as bolton managed to turn this game around completely as they went one down. It wasnt until the half time subs came on that bolton grabbed 2 goals to give them a precious 3 points.

Crystal Palace 1-0 Bolton

A very undeserved win for crystal palace and a rather boring game with not many chances. Crystal palace scored the one and only goal about 1 second into the game which i felt was very harsh and couldnt pull one back despite having a fair few efforts turned away.

Bolton 2-2 Chesterfield

Scorers: De Baere (2)

Last game of the session and only about 3 more games were left in the 3rd season. Not a great season for bolton this season but Lee Owens aint been with them a season yet. They are currently looking like they are going to be a strong side next season as some very good players are to come but until then bolton have to make sure they can stay in the division and get more funding.

Boing Boing

The Baggies boss Aidan Connolly has now reached the end of the season with the club and the fans are ectstatic, Connolly has managed to secure promotion to the Premiership after only having half a season with the club.

Connolly took over of the club half way through the season and it didn' take him long before he had the team at the top of the division after going 12 games unbeaten. W.B.A were looking pretty at the top of the division having a 6 point lead at one point in the season. Unfotrunately the Baggies went through a poor patch and lost their 6 point lead and fell to 4th place, the fans were starting to get nervous. However Connolly ensured that his players bounced back and for the final part of the season the baggies surged up the table and secured promotion.

The Champions of Division 1 had not yet been decided at it all came down to the last game of the season, W.B.A were challenging Hull for the title. The Baggies needed to hull to draw or lose their last game, and for the baggies to win their own. Hull did draw their game, but unfortunately the BAggies only managed to draw their game with Derby. The fans and the board are still over the moon with Connolly having gained promotion in his first season with the club.

Connolly had this to say after the last game of the season

"I am delighted to have gained promotion to the premiership, but it would have been nice to have won Division 1. We must not get too carried away with our promotion though as everybody knows it is not going to be easy next season. For the meantime though, we can celbrate, and worry about next season another time."

sorry to have to hear that icon_frown.gif and yeah maybe 15 is a little too much but it still runs at an alright pace i feel. Maybe we will keep the number down a little bit and only look for new members when we do really need them

Clan announcement

Due to the recent dismissal of manager chris cain and other reasons the clan will now drop down to 12 members from 15. 2 members will therefore be removed from the clan. These 2 members are:

andy scattergood (only ever in session for about half an hour if he is in a session)

barnsey (aint turned up for 2 weeks and doesnt look like he is going 2)

The reason why we have decided to change it to 12 is so obviously it runs smoother even though it didnt run too bad with 15 members anyway and because we always have a turnout of at least 12 a session so therefore will be getting full turnouts then.

Also a few new rules will be brought into the game these will be:

The rule on sackings has now changed. When someone is to get sacked from there club now they must now only take control of a team in the bottom 5 of the division they are in or a team placed between 10th and bottom in the leagues below.

New members that join the clan will now be placed on a weeks trial and then after that week they will be looked at and if they turned up for all the sessions in that weeks trial they will then be offered a place in the clan. This is to prevent people joining our clan who just play a few matches and then bugger off which has been happening with a few lately.

Another new rule may come into the clan but may not this rule is that new clan members will only be looked for at the start of each new season in the clan no other time but not sure yet.

Also if managers dont do their contracts for their players within the 6 months then any human manager is then liable to snap those players up whether they are in the game or not. The only players this does not apply to is under 17's that have a contract that aint protected. So keep an eye on those contracts all.

Hopefully all those rules are fine i've already talked them over with a few of you so they should be icon_smile.gif

boro end 3rd season on a high

boro's upward curve continues as they finish the 3rd season in style, retaining the uefa cup, winning the fa cup and clinching 3rd in the premiership and with it champions league football next season.

this was a great achievement for boro, who had to play the second half of the season without their number 1 defender albrecthsen who will not return from injury until september.

the squad has been strengthened drastically in the summer, with papa waigo signing after been released by man utd, not to mention another great crop of u17s been stolen from the cream of europes academies.

boro must surely be aiming to push newcastle who retained the title closer this season, if not overtake them as englands number 1 club

Villa begin to steady the ship

after fighting off relegation in his first season in charge by one point,Cochrane finished last season in mid-table.

away form must be improved in the present season for villa to better last seasons finishing position after losing 11 away games to only 3 home games.

the squad has been stregthened with stipe pletikosa(GK) and marco(DC) both signed for free.Cochrane is still searching for a new striker before the transfer window closes.

fans are optimistic about the league this and the manager is certain he can repay them by finishing higher up the league and maybe a decent cup run

So we did it icon_smile.gif Aida's West brom fought a good battle and it was a very exciting run in, but we managed just to pip him on goal difference. So the third title for Hull and the glories of the premiership await us. Really looking forward to battling to stay in the premier league and playing more human managers. We will need to really buy a few players if we are wanting to stay in this division but hats off to the team who got us there which is virtually the same eleven from the third divisions, well done lads.

Well done Jimmy on consecutive titles, How long will it last?

Well done to all the other members and the best of luck for the forthcoming season.

With it now being the new season bolton are going to have to make some serious improvements and add more depth to their squad if they are to do well this season.

With a fair few new faces coming in. Boltons starting line up is looking better than ever. Lets just hope they play as well as their skills look. After the dissappointing finish to last season Lee Owens really needed to prove himself once and for all. Here is how the first games of the season went.

Charlton 1-1 Bolton

Scorers: Arfa

The first game of the new season and arfa was yet again on loan at bolton for yet another season. His goal helped bolton get their first point of the season. Not a bad start considering it was Charlton.

West Ham 2-1 Bolton (League Cup)

Scorers: Arfa

Still early days yet as bolton got their first defeat of the season. Although bolton played pretty well marthinsen just couldnt keep the goals out. It may of been the league cup a cup that Lee Owens wasnt really interested in winning but still it would of been nice to get far in it.

Bristol 2-1 Bolton

Scorers: Arfa

The good news was that the Bolton defence seemed a lot better this season so far the bad news was that they lost 2-1 again although it would of finished 1-1 if it wasnt for bristol scoring a goal on the 90th minute.

Bolton 1-0 Reading

Scorers: Arfa

Boltons first win of the season this was. Although the scoreline wasnt exactly convincing it was enough to put a smile on manager Lee Owens' face.

Bolton 3-1 West Ham

Scorers: Davies (3)

This was a little bit of revenge for the league cup that they went out of because of West Ham. A great performance gave bolton their highest win so far this season and they seemed like they were to be playing well but they lost the next game so that ended that.

Rushden 3-1 Bolton

Scorers: Arfa

A rather poor game for bolton which they didnt think they would lose but they did. Arfa scored again but that meant little as rushden scored 3. Lee Owens was upset after this game but he didnt want it to effect him too much as it is still early days yet so not all is lost.

A not too bad start for bolton meant that they currently lied in 12th place. If bolton could get some sort of winning momentum together they could maybe be pushing for promotion if not then it could be another failed club in the hands of Lee Owens.

Lee Owens declared himself reasonably happy with the way his team started this season and said that he has a new formation that should work well with the side and hopefully get the more wins and more goals as at the moment they wasnt exaclty scoring many. Keep an eye on how the mighty bolton do by keeping up to date with this thread. Will the new formation work? and how long can arfa go on keep scoring and not stop? find out here.......

End of season report to follow in morning......

Report on 3rd season

As the 3rd season came to a close in the clan game some managers experienced quality and some didnt. Some achieved great things and again some didnt. Here is an look of how all the human managers done in the 3rd season.

Stevey - hull Another great season for stevey as he achieved promotion yet again by finish 1st place by some margin. Stevey hasnt really had a bad season in the clan yet. Lets hope he can do as well in the premiership this coming season.

Jimmy - Newcastle Another premiership title for jimmy as he retained it. An all round good season again for jimmy. He also managed to win the league cup which also helped. Lets hope he can retain the premiership this season.

Aida - WBA Although aida joined the clan when it was half way through the season he made up good ground and managed to move wba up a lot of positions and finally managed to finish 2nd in division one which gave him promotion to the premiership.

Wiggy - Liverpool Wiggys side managed to secure a very good 2nd place in the premiership this season but couldnt quite catch jimmy up. He also managed to win the toughest cup out there. The Champions League so fair play to him.

Simon - Middlesbrough A magnificant season for middlesbrough but all the credit has to go to the manager really for making them as good as they are now and they are improving each season. They managed to finish a very what most people would seem unlikely 3rd place and also won the uefa cup.

Fred - Birmingham Fred had a rather reasonable season with birmingham although it wasnt a full one as he was sacked from reading. When he took over to manage birmingham they were drifting around the relegation zone. Luckily fred got some wins and moved them up the premiership and the ended finishing 11th.

Ant - Portsmouth At one point it was looking like a very good season for ant but some poor results towards the end of the season mucked his hopes up of possibly a uefa cup place.

Joey - Millwall A sad season for joey and all the millwall fans as they seen their side be relegated to the first division. Luckily joey managed to keep his job so lets hope he can come back up much more improved.

Me - Bolton After being sacked from plymouth mid way through the season i managed to get a job at bolton. When i joined they were in 21st place looking like they was going down. The final finishing position wasnt much better but at least we stayed up finishing 19th. Not much could be done really until next season so i decided to keep near enough the same team i already had. I also managed to keep my job and have a full season with bolton this time to prove to my board that i can give bolton the sucess they deserve.

Mike - Crewe A not bad season for mikes crewe side. Some impressive results made sure that crewe wasnt gonna go straight back down to division one and they finished in a satisfying 13th place.

Fran - Aston Villa Although fran has yet to win any cups with aston villa his side are improving a lot each season. Hopefully they can continue to improve and maybe finish higher than 10th this season.

Joe - Arsenal The new arsenal manager didnt do too bad for them since joining and managed to finish 8th in the premiership. Lets hope this season can bring good luck for him and maybe get him a cup or two.

The start of the 4th season has now got underway and as usual reports will be done for them by members. I want to wish everyone good luck for the new season and hope they do well. Bring on season 4 reports to follow as sessions are played.....
