We have two wins against them from our time in the National League, but it was 10 years ago.

Jordan Williams breaks Jordan Jack's all time appearances record for the club.

A pretty special effort for a guy who the scouts say isn't good enough for this level, to still keep turning up and putting in when required.

Although he may not be with us a lot longer as he has been hinting at wanting to explore new opportunities.

We dominated the game without getting too many rewards in the first half.

Just the one goal from Wes Heys midway through gave us a 1-0 lead at the break.

Our determination paid off as the flood gates opened late in the second half, as three different goal scorers got on the sheet.

We did concede one as well, for a final scoreline of 4-1, which was their only shot on target.

A tough fight at the Emirates as we share the points.

The hosts took the lead just before half time.

They looked like they might hold on for the win, but Aled Harden came off the bench to slam home an equaliser late in the game so we got a share of the points.

Our time at the top didn't last long as both sides of Manchester won, so we stay third.

Up next...a short turn around to a dead rubber Champions League match against Lazio at Anfield. With both sides qualified for the next round, it will be a rotated squad going out to rest the legs of some tired players.

This year promises fullbacks, wingers, center backs, central midfielder, forwards...pretty much everything but a goal keeper

I am pretty excited to see what we end up with now. Bring on March.

Leaving it late to take down Liverpool.

Gary Gowdy gave us an early lead in what was a pretty tight game.

It looked like we'd blown the chance to win when The Reds scored an equaliser in the 70th minute.

But it was Gary Gowdy again who stole a wayward pass and calmly slotted home the winner in injury time to break Liverpool's hearts.

In a match where we were probably the second best team, thanks to a brilliant performance from John Hodgson to keep the hosts scoreless, and a late strike from John Wright, we stole an unexpected win.

A game we could have lost, and probably would have been happy to escape with a draw, it was very pleasing to see us keep fighting and take the win.

Taking a 2-1 lead from the 1st Leg, the rotated squad put in a dominant performance to see us through.

An early Freddy Logan goal put us 3-1 up on aggregate.

Obinna Tamara made it 2-0 (4-1) on 39 minutes before Newcastle pulled one straight back to make it 2-1 (4-2) at half time.

Our defence was brilliant, and any though of a Newcastle comeback was put down when Mark Walsh put us 3-1 (5-2) up on 71 minutes.

A stunning result as the rest seems to have done the boys the world of good.

The first half was a bit scratchy but an early Wes Heys goal allowed us to control the match.

The boys turned it up to 11 in the second half, running riot slamming home 4 goals in a 20 minute stretch.

Gary Gowdy started the rot on 51 minutes, before Lewis Hoey got in on the act 7 minutes later.

Gowdy would complete his brace on 67 minutes to make it 4-0.

Aled Harden would make it 5-0, five minutes late to complete the scoring.

A devastating attacking performance against a European hopeful team.

A disappointing result as we had to come from behind twice to rescue a point against the last place Clarets.

After conceding a penalty early, it took a Gary Gowdy bullet to get us back on level terms at half time.

The hosts would score again on 73 minutes, and it looked like it wasn't going to be our day.

But late in the piece, substitute Earl Lee seized on a defensive error to fire home a cracking strike to level the scores again.

We were probably the second best team on the day, so to hang on for a point is probably a positive.

Oh dear! What a shocker! :seagull:

In one of our worst performances in the Premier League we were thrashed by the struggling Foxes at Anfield.

Down 0-2 after 9 minutes we tried to chase the game which left us exposed at the back, and they caught us twice on the counter to make it 4 by the half.

We played much better in the second half, without reward, but the damage was already done.

We play them again in a few weeks in the FA Cup, so we are going to need a much better performances if we want to defend our title.

A stunning game of football, just not the result we wanted.

John Wright gave us an early lead, before a clumsy penalty allowed the hosts to equalise.

They then took the lead on half time, to leave us 1-2 down.

They we probably playing the better, but on the hour mark, Gary Gowdy fired home a screamer to level the scores.

It looked like we might hold on, but not to be outdone, the hosts fired home their own screamer in the shadows of full time to take a 3-2 lead into the return leg, in two weeks time.

The Analyst is pretty happy. Take out the Leicester result and we are playing pretty consistently.

Sitting 3rd, and the first team to qualify for Europe, the League Cup sending us to Euro II, but I would hope to be playing at a higher level.

A scoreless first half before Gary Gowdy broke the deadlock with a fine header just before the hour mark.

We couldn't hold on though as the hosts hit back to level the scores 10 minutes before time.

A crazy way to celebrate my 1,000 game milestone, but we finally got the win.

Gary Gowdy started like a house on fire, smashing home a hat-trick by the half hour mark.

At that point, the score could have ended up anything, but we lost our way and let them back into the game.

They pulled one back before half time, before scoring twice in four minutes late in the second half to level the scores at 3-3.

Just when it looked like we'd blown a 3-0 lead and could possibly even lose, Michael Pilkington came off the bench to score a valuable goal to secure the win, the 3 points, and a very memorable game 1,000.

With one eye on the Champions League fixture in two days time, the rotated squad was dispatched to Elland Road, and they did not disappoint.

First half goals to Mark Walsh and Martin Challinor gave us a 2-1 lead at the break, at which point, it still could have went either way.

But we gave the hosts no chance in the second half, while Walsh completed his brace just after the break, while Kyle Christian completely killed off any chance of a comeback just after the hour, making it 4-1.

Man U have won 10 straight, and Man City are looking just as tough.

Up next...do or die as we welcome Atletico Madrid to Anfield for the 2nd Leg of our First Knockout Round in the Champions League. The visitors hold a 3-2 lead from the 1st Leg. How vital will be conceding that 3rd goal be against us.

Everton was probably our highest crowd if you take out our 'home' game against Liverpool, which we had over 46k.

14088802_CL3.png.b6b3147e72ce5f7b0ff7824791deade6.png

Strap yourselves in folks! This one was an emotional roller coaster.

Trailing 2-3 from the 1st Leg, we needed to make a good start, and it didn't go well, with the visitors scoring first on 23 minutes for a 0-1 (2-4) lead.

That goal snapped us into gear, and almost immediately, Aled Harden scored to make it 1-1 (3-4).

Ten minutes later and it was that man Gary Gowdy smashing home a volley to make it 2-1 (4*-4).

Now remember folks, this is an FM21 database, so the Away goals rule is still in effect, meaning that at the moment, we are through to the next round.

Two minutes before half time, Aled Harden popped up again to score his 2nd of the game, making it 3-1 (5-4) at the break, and we are back in front on aggregate.

Just after half time, Harden again in the thick of it as he completes his hat-trick to make it 4-1 (6-4), and now we are cruising through to the next round.

Just after the hour mark, Madrid pull one back. But 4-2 (6-5) is ok, we are still going through.

But now fatigue, mixed with a bit of inexperience and panic have started to set in, and Madrid can smell the blood in the water, and they are on the hunt.

In the next five minutes, both sides would clatter the post, before the visitors struck a devastating blow on 74 minutes.

A goal to Atletico makes it 4-3 (6-6*), but on Away Goals, they have 3, we have 2.

We're out. They would take the spot in the next round.

Both sides were out on their feet, it was end to end stuff, and on 80 minutes, Gary Gowdy almost became the hero, clattering the bar again, from distance, it would have been an amazing goal, and a remarkable end to the match, but on it continued.

Madrid had decided to park the bus for the most part, knowing that they needed to just hang on for the aggregate draw, and they would go through.

With 5 minutes remaining, the moment came, Dorian Smith launched a ball forward out of defence that John Wright allowed to bounce in the circle, turning his defender and setting off toward goal, with defenders coming from every direction and a keeper scrambling to get back into position, Wright unleashed a bullet form outside the area, that the diving keeper could only watch fly past him and smash into the back of the net.

5-3 (7-6). We were back in the lead, the place in the next round was ours again.

By this stage the visitors had run out of steam, and had nothing left to give, which was probably just as well, as most of our guys were cooked as well.

We hung on for the win, we had overturned a 1st Leg deficit, and survived a heart stopping game to book our place in the next round.

Up next...after that roller coaster, we need to go again as we host Leicester in the FA Cup Quarter Final. Having lost to them in the League a few weeks ago, we need to turn it around to stay in the hunt to defend our title.

It's currently being upgraded to 31k, but it only has probably one more expansion to a maximum of 37-38k.

So yes, eventually we will probably need a new stadium.

The skin is Flutskin, but remember I am still using FM21, so make sure you can find the right version for which ever FM you are using.

For the faces I have the DF11 Regens Megapack. Like most face packs, it a huge file, so keep that in mind as well.

MAR 2033 - Youth Intake

After that head spinning Champions League match, the dizziness did not abate when the class of 2038 arrived.

761896435_Youth1.png.ad4821848681f753701c753c420260ef.png

The Intake preview teased that it was a golden generation, but this intake is enormous, there are a lot of seriously talented players here.

A striker, two wingers, a central midfielder, and two defenders that have some serious star ratings.

The news only got better when I looked at the attributes.

648411242_Youth2.png.7f59db8b3804c3d57c74cb183e00329e.png

B & E will possibly be ready for first team football later next season, as 16-17 year olds, and there is another 3-4 players who should be close the season after, still as 17-18 year olds, which is just crazy.

Four of the highest PA scores we have seen out of our academy, three of the highest attribute ratings we have ever seen out of our academy.

And those averages are just ridiculous. :onmehead:

The Top Three

This kid's not overly tall, but quick, and has finishing of 15, from a 15 year old...the highest PA to come out of our academy, this kid has potential super star written all over him.

1996202886_Youth4.thumb.jpg.ef7d73d7322088f012c60e6c5a1c13eb.jpg

A super pacey left footed left winger. Still plenty of room for growth on the technical side, but a very promising player.

545990627_Youth5.thumb.jpg.c7bb003dd181b98ac925ae433770b76a.jpg

This one could be hit or miss. Plenty of potential, but plenty of growth needed. If he can reach potential, he will be a very solid central midfielder.

Just the one IoM native this year, but after three years of not much coming out of the academy, apparently they all turned up at once.

I know we are playing in Liverpool's stadium, but I am wondering if we kicked down the door to their academy while we were there

We make amends for our recent League defeat to the Foxes, eliminating them from the FA Cup.

It didn't start well as the visitors took an early lead, but from there on, it was pretty much one way traffic, as we settled down to our work an dominated them out of the match.

It took half an hour for us to level the scores as defender Marcus Slack scored his first of the year to make it 1-1 at half time.

In the second half, it just seemed a matter of time as we continued to pile on the pressure.

Just on the hour mark, Martin Challinor finally put us in the lead with a thumping header.

In the shadows of full time, Challinor thumped home another header to put it beyond doubt, making it 3-1.
