Punch
NOV 2037 - FA Cup 3rd Round Draw We're off to Boreham Wood for our FA Cup tie. We have two wins against them from our time in the National League, but it was 10 years ago.
Punch
NOV 2037 A win, draw, and a loss in the League, and two wins in the Champions League to send us to the next round. A much improved defensive performance continues, while our attack slipped a little. Currently 3rd on a pretty tight table. Stats Goalkeepers Defence Midfield Forwards Record Breaker Jordan Williams breaks Jordan Jack's all time appearances record for the club. A pretty special effort for a guy who the scouts say isn't good enough for this level, to still keep turning up and putting in when required. Although he may not be with us a lot longer as he has been hinting at wanting to explore new opportunities. A great month financially with the TV games and two Champions League game wins boosting the numbers. We keep setting records in other peoples stadiums. A monster month coming up.
Punch
DEC 2037 - Match Day 15 - Vs Sheffield Wednesday Match Report Spoiler We dominated the game without getting too many rewards in the first half. Just the one goal from Wes Heys midway through gave us a 1-0 lead at the break. Our determination paid off as the flood gates opened late in the second half, as three different goal scorers got on the sheet. We did concede one as well, for a final scoreline of 4-1, which was their only shot on target. Table Spoiler Still holding 3rd place. Up next...we're off to the Emirates to face Arsenal. Punch
DEC 2037 - Match Day 16 - At Arsenal Match Report Spoiler A tough fight at the Emirates as we share the points. The hosts took the lead just before half time. They looked like they might hold on for the win, but Aled Harden came off the bench to slam home an equaliser late in the game so we got a share of the points. Table Spoiler Our time at the top didn't last long as both sides of Manchester won, so we stay third. Up next...a short turn around to a dead rubber Champions League match against Lazio at Anfield. With both sides qualified for the next round, it will be a rotated squad going out to rest the legs of some tired players.
Punch
DEC 2037 - Group Match 6 - Vs SS Lazio Match Report Spoiler A hard fought but good performance as one goal is enough to get us home. Colin Rudden gave us the lead just after half time, and the defence was solid to keep us in front. Over £12 million in prize money from games won already from our Champions League adventure this season. Table Spoiler Monaco defeated Feyenoord in the final match. The really unexpected part of this result is that goal difference pushed us up to qualify in first place. Up next...League action as we travel to Nottingham to take on the 9th place Tricky Trees. Punch
DEC 2037 - Match Day 17 - At Nottingham Forest Match Report Spoiler Points thrown away at City Ground. In a match we dominated, but struggled to score, it looked like Gary Gowdy had given us the winner on 77 minutes. But a defensive lapse in injury time allowed Forest to sneak through and score an equaliser. A disappointing result, we should really have taken a lot more from this match. Table Spoiler We stay 3rd as Chelsea also drew, but we gave a gap to the Manchester teams. Up next...League Cup Quarter Final action as Watford travel to Anfield. The rotated squad will be out for this game.
Punch
DEC 2037 - Youth Intake Preview Last years intake preview was pretty ordinary, and the intake lived up to the hype. Punch
DEC 2037 - First Knockout Round Draw Drawn against Atlético Madrid, as the higher seed, we get the return match at home, meaning the first leg will be played in Madrid. Punch
DEC 2037 - League Cup Quarter Final - Vs Watford Match Report Spoiler A thumping win over Watford to send us into the Semi Finals. The rotated squad run amok through the Watford defence who had no answers. We scored three, but it could have been 13. Job done for now, but it will continue to be the rotated squad playing in this competition. Semi Final Draw Spoiler The Magpies and The Ravens over two legs in the Semi. A long history between these two clubs, but we have the edge, especially lately. Up next...back to League action as we welcome 19th place Brighton to Anfield. Punch
DEC 2037 - Match Day 18 - Vs Brighton & Hove Albion Match Report Spoiler A dominant win over the lowly Seagulls. Gary Gowdy gave us a well deserved lead on the half hour, before an unfortunate own goal made it a comfortable 2-0 lead. We controlled the game from there until a brilliant free kick gave them a glimmer of hope. Earl Lee killed the game off and secured the points in injury time for a well rounded 3-1 win. Table Spoiler We stay 3rd as everyone bar City won. Up next...a tougher match up as 6th place Norwich come to Anfield.
Punch
DEC 2037 - Match Day 19 - Vs Norwich City Match Report Spoiler We knew this would be a tough battle, and so it proved to be. A game that went back and forth, but produced limited chances. Gary Gowdy created the only chance picking out substitute Martin Challinor to slide home the winner just before full time. It was good reward for persistence, and an important three points. Table Spoiler 6 unbeaten, and the top 6 all winning so we stay 3rd. Up next...a two day break before we we travel to Wolverhampton. Punch
DEC 2037 - Match Day 20 - At Wolverhampton Wanderers Match Report Spoiler A tired performance as we go down in a close one at Molineux. We struggled to create chances, and Wolves took the lead just before half time. A lot of games in a few days took it's toll as we were unable to pull it back. Table Spoiler We blink first among the top 6, dropping to 4th. Up next...11th place West Ham travel to Anfield.

Punch
DEC 2037 A monster month that almost went undefeated, just the last game we ran out of steam. The defence has had a big improvement this month, although the attack has slipped a little. Holding 4th place on a tightly packed table. Stats Goal Keepers Defence Midfield Forwards Awards Harden picked up the Young Player of the Month John Wright was named the best U21 Footballer in the world. John Hodgson was named the 2nd best Goalkeeper in the world. We turned a profit again this month. Punch
JAN 2038 - Match Day 21 - Vs West Ham United Match Report Spoiler A tight tussle at Anfield before we run out convincing winners at the death. Aled Harden struck before half time to to give us the lead at the break. It was a back and forward game but neither side could take their chances. We then sealed the win with John Wright and Gary Gowdy scoring in injury time, the 3-0 final score line probably flattered us somewhat. Table Spoiler We jump back over the beaten Chelsea into 3rd. Up next...Away to Newcastle for the 1st Leg of the League Cup.
Punch
JAN 2038 - Semi Final 1st Leg - At Newcastle United Match Report Spoiler We left it late to take a lead in the 1st Leg as injury reduced Newcastle to 10 men for the last few minutes. After Mark Walsh gave us the lead, which was cancelled out a few minutes later, we went to the break at 1-1. A tough battle in the second half before we took advantage of the unfortunate man advantage with young winger Moses Senkoomi scoring on debut to seal the win. We head to Anfield to do it all again in a week for a shot at the Final. Up next...our FA Cup campaign kicks off with a trip to Meadow Park to take on National League Boreham Wood in the 3rd Round. Punch
JAN 2038 - FA Cup 3rd Round - At Boreham Wood FC Match Report Spoiler Our FA Cup defence kicks off with a solid win over The Wood at Meadow Park. Three goals in 9 minutes, a brace from Michael Pilkington, and a stunning volley from Kyle Christian had us up 3-0 early. Youngster Moses Senkoomi scored a 4th in the first half, and we cruised to victory at that scoreline. 4th Round Draw Spoiler We welcome Mansfield Town to Anfield for Round 4. A good record against them, although it's been over 5 years since we met. Up next...Back to League action as a rested first squad welcome Liverpool...to Anfield......it's our home game at their home ground
Punch
JAN 2038 - Match Day 22 - Vs Liverpool FC Match Report Spoiler Leaving it late to take down Liverpool. Gary Gowdy gave us an early lead in what was a pretty tight game. It looked like we'd blown the chance to win when The Reds scored an equaliser in the 70th minute. But it was Gary Gowdy again who stole a wayward pass and calmly slotted home the winner in injury time to break Liverpool's hearts. Table Spoiler Turned out to be an important win as all the top sides won, keeping us third. Up next...the rapid fire month continues with only two days until we travel to Manchester to take on the blue side of town.
Punch
JAN 2037 - Match Day 23 - At Manchester City Match Report Spoiler In a match where we were probably the second best team, thanks to a brilliant performance from John Hodgson to keep the hosts scoreless, and a late strike from John Wright, we stole an unexpected win. A game we could have lost, and probably would have been happy to escape with a draw, it was very pleasing to see us keep fighting and take the win. Table Spoiler Three straight wins, including a 6 pointer against City to cut their lead in second to just a point. Up next...the rapid fire month continues, as we travel away to Tottenham. Punch
JAN 2038 - Match Day 24 - At Tottenham Hotspur Match Report Spoiler A tight affair at Hotspur stadium as the points ended up being shared. Jordan Williams rescued the point scoring midway through the second half, with neither side being able to find a winner. Table Spoiler We stay in third, the shock of the round seeing Man U get beaten by then last place Sheffield United Up next...finally a few days to rest some weary legs before we are at Anfield for the 2nd Leg of the League Cup against Newcastle.
Punch
JAN 2038 - League Cup Semi Final 2nd Leg - Vs Newcastle United Match Report Spoiler Taking a 2-1 lead from the 1st Leg, the rotated squad put in a dominant performance to see us through. An early Freddy Logan goal put us 3-1 up on aggregate. Obinna Tamara made it 2-0 (4-1) on 39 minutes before Newcastle pulled one straight back to make it 2-1 (4-2) at half time. Our defence was brilliant, and any though of a Newcastle comeback was put down when Mark Walsh put us 3-1 (5-2) up on 71 minutes. After winning this Cup last season, it's been low on the priority, so I have been playing the rotated squad all through, and I will be doing the same in the final, giving the fringe players a chance to defend our title. Final Draw Spoiler It will be Hotspur in the Final. A long history of close games, so it should be a very hard fought Final. Up next...A tough match at Anfield against 5th place Southampton to finish the month, but the first squad should be rested having had over a full week off since the last League game. Punch
JAN 2038 - Match Day 25 - Vs Southampton FC Match Report Spoiler A stunning result as the rest seems to have done the boys the world of good. The first half was a bit scratchy but an early Wes Heys goal allowed us to control the match. The boys turned it up to 11 in the second half, running riot slamming home 4 goals in a 20 minute stretch. Gary Gowdy started the rot on 51 minutes, before Lewis Hoey got in on the act 7 minutes later. Gowdy would complete his brace on 67 minutes to make it 4-0. Aled Harden would make it 5-0, five minutes late to complete the scoring. A devastating attacking performance against a European hopeful team. Table Spoiler Still in 3rd, but it's a tight table, and plenty more to be told in this story I think. Up next...We welcome Mansfield Town for the FA Cup 4th Round.
Punch
JAN 2038 A brilliant month as we rotate our way through an insane schedule to drop points in only one match. A very happy Analyst this month as the defence and the attack performed brilliantly. We hold 3rd place on a tight table. Some individual awards for Hoey and myself. Stats Goalkeepers Defence Midfield Forwards A small profit as we clear the £300 million mark. Another broken gate record. A record that we won't be able to break at our upgraded ground. Another training upgrade complete, with the Youth to follow shortly. Should only be one more of each to go. Punch
FEB 2038 - FA Cup 4th Round - Vs Mansfield Town FC Match Report Spoiler At half time the scoreline was Michael Pilkington 4 - Mansfield Town 0. A devastating match where The Stags were allowed no shots on goal at all, let alone on target. Second half goals to Kevin Thompson and Mark Walsh completed the thrashing, as we got home 6-0. 5th Round Draw Spoiler Off to Pride Park to take on Derby in Round 5 A close history between us, but it's been 4 years since we met. A crowd of just over 3,000 crammed into The Bowl to watch a tight affair, with a 79th minute goal enough to securing to Cup. Punch
FEB 2038 - Match Day 26 - At Burnley FC Match Report Spoiler A disappointing result as we had to come from behind twice to rescue a point against the last place Clarets. After conceding a penalty early, it took a Gary Gowdy bullet to get us back on level terms at half time. The hosts would score again on 73 minutes, and it looked like it wasn't going to be our day. But late in the piece, substitute Earl Lee seized on a defensive error to fire home a cracking strike to level the scores again. We were probably the second best team on the day, so to hang on for a point is probably a positive. Table Spoiler Still holding 3rd place. Punch
FEB 2038 - Match Day 27 - Vs Sheffield United Match Report Spoiler A pretty dominant performances against The Blades, with a goal in each half enough to secure the points. Lewis Hoey got us on the board before half time, while Wes Heys secured the points on 75 minutes. A brilliant defensive performance shut down the visitors attacking chances, and a clean sheets was an excellent reward. Spoiler Keeping 3rd place. Up next...15th place Leicester travel to Anfield. Punch
FEB 2038 - Match Day 28 - Vs Leicester City FC Match Report Spoiler Oh dear! What a shocker! In one of our worst performances in the Premier League we were thrashed by the struggling Foxes at Anfield. Down 0-2 after 9 minutes we tried to chase the game which left us exposed at the back, and they caught us twice on the counter to make it 4 by the half. We played much better in the second half, without reward, but the damage was already done. We play them again in a few weeks in the FA Cup, so we are going to need a much better performances if we want to defend our title. Table Spoiler We stay 3rd, with the only saving grace, the sides above and below us only managed to draw. Up next...we need to dust ourselves off quickly, as we head to Spain to take on Atletico Madrid in the 1st Leg of our Champions League First Knockout Round tie. Punch
FEB 2038 - First Knockout Round 1st Leg - At Atletico Madrid Match Report Spoiler A stunning game of football, just not the result we wanted. John Wright gave us an early lead, before a clumsy penalty allowed the hosts to equalise. They then took the lead on half time, to leave us 1-2 down. They we probably playing the better, but on the hour mark, Gary Gowdy fired home a screamer to level the scores. It looked like we might hold on, but not to be outdone, the hosts fired home their own screamer in the shadows of full time to take a 3-2 lead into the return leg, in two weeks time. Up next...the rotated squad will be out to see if they can finish what they started as we head to Wembley to take on Tottenham in the League Cup Final. Punch
FEB 2038 - League Cup Final - Vs Tottenham Hotspur Match Report Spoiler A stunning result as the rotated squad completed their journey and stun Tottenham to lift the League Cup. Spurs took an early lead but Mark Walsh scored twice in 4 minutes to give us the lead. A tight fight in the second half with neither side being able to score, although Walsh came close to a hat-trick, hitting the bar from range. Another pretty trophy for the collection. A brilliant performance by the rotated squad to lead us to the title, and secure Euro II at the minimum. Up next...A tough match as we travel to 4th place Chelsea. Punch
FEB 2038 A mixed month as we win, draw, and get thrashed in the League, make our way through to the FA Cup Quarters, but are behind in our Champions League tie, before finishing the month winning back to back League Cups. The Analyst is pretty happy. Take out the Leicester result and we are playing pretty consistently. Sitting 3rd, and the first team to qualify for Europe, the League Cup sending us to Euro II, but I would hope to be playing at a higher level. Stats Goalkeepers Defence Midfield Forwards We take a loss this month, but still in front for the season. We are still last on the wages, even though we tripled our wages this season. Punching way above our weight in this League. Four big League games, a Champions League knockout 2nd Leg, an FA Cup Quarter Final, and according to the preview, and exciting bunch of academy prospects. A big month coming up. Punch
MAR 2038 - Match Day 29 - At Chelsea FC Match Report Spoiler A tough battle at Stamford Bridge as we share the points with Chelsea. A scoreless first half before Gary Gowdy broke the deadlock with a fine header just before the hour mark. We couldn't hold on though as the hosts hit back to level the scores 10 minutes before time. Table Spoiler Still holding 3rd place with a game in hand. Up next...18th place Everton travel to Anfield.

Punch
MAR 2038 - Match Day 30 - Vs Everton Match Report Spoiler A crazy way to celebrate my 1,000 game milestone, but we finally got the win. Gary Gowdy started like a house on fire, smashing home a hat-trick by the half hour mark. At that point, the score could have ended up anything, but we lost our way and let them back into the game. They pulled one back before half time, before scoring twice in four minutes late in the second half to level the scores at 3-3. Just when it looked like we'd blown a 3-0 lead and could possibly even lose, Michael Pilkington came off the bench to score a valuable goal to secure the win, the 3 points, and a very memorable game 1,000. Table Spoiler A win in the catch up game gives us some breathing space over Chelsea. Up next...a short break before we take on Leeds. It may need to be a rotated squad, as the 2nd Leg of the Champions League tie against Atletico Madrid is only a few days after.
Punch
MAR 2038 - Match Day 31 - At Leeds United FC Match Report Spoiler With one eye on the Champions League fixture in two days time, the rotated squad was dispatched to Elland Road, and they did not disappoint. First half goals to Mark Walsh and Martin Challinor gave us a 2-1 lead at the break, at which point, it still could have went either way. But we gave the hosts no chance in the second half, while Walsh completed his brace just after the break, while Kyle Christian completely killed off any chance of a comeback just after the hour, making it 4-1. Table Spoiler Chelsea dropped points again, which means we have almost wrapped up third place at worst, barring a spectacular collapse from us, or one of the teams above us. Man U have won 10 straight, and Man City are looking just as tough. Up next...do or die as we welcome Atletico Madrid to Anfield for the 2nd Leg of our First Knockout Round in the Champions League. The visitors hold a 3-2 lead from the 1st Leg. How vital will be conceding that 3rd goal be against us.

Punch
MAR 2038 - First Knockout Round 2nd Leg - Vs Atletico Madrid Match Report Spoiler Strap yourselves in folks! This one was an emotional roller coaster. Trailing 2-3 from the 1st Leg, we needed to make a good start, and it didn't go well, with the visitors scoring first on 23 minutes for a 0-1 (2-4) lead. That goal snapped us into gear, and almost immediately, Aled Harden scored to make it 1-1 (3-4). Ten minutes later and it was that man Gary Gowdy smashing home a volley to make it 2-1 (4*-4). Now remember folks, this is an FM21 database, so the Away goals rule is still in effect, meaning that at the moment, we are through to the next round. Two minutes before half time, Aled Harden popped up again to score his 2nd of the game, making it 3-1 (5-4) at the break, and we are back in front on aggregate. Just after half time, Harden again in the thick of it as he completes his hat-trick to make it 4-1 (6-4), and now we are cruising through to the next round. Just after the hour mark, Madrid pull one back. But 4-2 (6-5) is ok, we are still going through. But now fatigue, mixed with a bit of inexperience and panic have started to set in, and Madrid can smell the blood in the water, and they are on the hunt. In the next five minutes, both sides would clatter the post, before the visitors struck a devastating blow on 74 minutes. A goal to Atletico makes it 4-3 (6-6*), but on Away Goals, they have 3, we have 2. We're out. They would take the spot in the next round. Both sides were out on their feet, it was end to end stuff, and on 80 minutes, Gary Gowdy almost became the hero, clattering the bar again, from distance, it would have been an amazing goal, and a remarkable end to the match, but on it continued. Madrid had decided to park the bus for the most part, knowing that they needed to just hang on for the aggregate draw, and they would go through. With 5 minutes remaining, the moment came, Dorian Smith launched a ball forward out of defence that John Wright allowed to bounce in the circle, turning his defender and setting off toward goal, with defenders coming from every direction and a keeper scrambling to get back into position, Wright unleashed a bullet form outside the area, that the diving keeper could only watch fly past him and smash into the back of the net. 5-3 (7-6). We were back in the lead, the place in the next round was ours again. By this stage the visitors had run out of steam, and had nothing left to give, which was probably just as well, as most of our guys were cooked as well. We hung on for the win, we had overturned a 1st Leg deficit, and survived a heart stopping game to book our place in the next round. The prize money keeps rolling in. Records shattered, we are no chance of beating this one when we get back to The Isle. Not sure we are much chance of beating this one either. Quarter Final Draw Spoiler We draw Bayer Leverkusen of Germany for the Quarter Final. This will be an exceptionally tough match up. Up next...after that roller coaster, we need to go again as we host Leicester in the FA Cup Quarter Final. Having lost to them in the League a few weeks ago, we need to turn it around to stay in the hunt to defend our title. So yes, eventually we will probably need a new stadium. 6 hours ago, TelcontarTargaryen said: I think I asked you this one once before, but I forgot. What skin are you using and how do you get newgens to have faces. I saw some facepacks but never tried them. The skin is Flutskin, but remember I am still using FM21, so make sure you can find the right version for which ever FM you are using. For the faces I have the DF11 Regens Megapack. Like most face packs, it a huge file, so keep that in mind as well.

Punch
MAR 2033 - Youth Intake After that head spinning Champions League match, the dizziness did not abate when the class of 2038 arrived. The Intake preview teased that it was a golden generation, but this intake is enormous, there are a lot of seriously talented players here. A striker, two wingers, a central midfielder, and two defenders that have some serious star ratings. The news only got better when I looked at the attributes. B & E will possibly be ready for first team football later next season, as 16-17 year olds, and there is another 3-4 players who should be close the season after, still as 17-18 year olds, which is just crazy. Four of the highest PA scores we have seen out of our academy, three of the highest attribute ratings we have ever seen out of our academy. And those averages are just ridiculous. The Top Three Spoiler This kid's not overly tall, but quick, and has finishing of 15, from a 15 year old...the highest PA to come out of our academy, this kid has potential super star written all over him. A super pacey left footed left winger. Still plenty of room for growth on the technical side, but a very promising player. This one could be hit or miss. Plenty of potential, but plenty of growth needed. If he can reach potential, he will be a very solid central midfielder. Just the one IoM native this year, but after three years of not much coming out of the academy, apparently they all turned up at once. I know we are playing in Liverpool's stadium, but I am wondering if we kicked down the door to their academy while we were there Edited May 25, 2022 by Punch
Punch
MAR 2038 - FA Cup Quarter Final - Vs Leicester City FC Match Report Spoiler We make amends for our recent League defeat to the Foxes, eliminating them from the FA Cup. It didn't start well as the visitors took an early lead, but from there on, it was pretty much one way traffic, as we settled down to our work an dominated them out of the match. It took half an hour for us to level the scores as defender Marcus Slack scored his first of the year to make it 1-1 at half time. In the second half, it just seemed a matter of time as we continued to pile on the pressure. Just on the hour mark, Martin Challinor finally put us in the lead with a thumping header. In the shadows of full time, Challinor thumped home another header to put it beyond doubt, making it 3-1. Keeping the money rolling in. Semi Final Draw Spoiler About the toughest draw we could have received, an away trip to the red side of Manchester. We don't have a good record against them, and they have just been fire in the League this season. We are going to have to play the match of our lives, again, to keep our Cup winning run alive. Up next...38 players on international duty, before we travel away to Aston Villa in 11 days time.

Some great performances for our Seniors, including a hat-trick to Martin Challinor. We welcomed three new Senior Internationals this month. Dave Keogh found his way back into the English team, so we now have three Seniors in the England team again.
Punch
MAR 2038 - Match Day 32 - At Aston Villa FC Match Report Spoiler A pretty unremarkable game, but we do enough to take the three points at Villa Park. A john Wright goal on 36 minutes was the only score in this one. There was very little else to say, we take the win and move on. Table Spoiler We made up a few points on City who drew, while we get a break on 4th as Arsenal jump Chelsea after this result Chelsea then 4th, vs then 5th place Arsenal Up next...away to 17th place Sheffield Wednesday.
