We lost...but I am not even sure what to make of this result. Neither side played particularly well, or badly for that matter. It was a game of very few chances, in fact, we created the same number.

Two of theirs went in, none of ours did. Very strange game.

We dropped back to 11th...still scratching my head about this game

Up next...no time to dwell on it though, as we take on Huddersfield at The Bowl in a catch up game after the international players have returned. A very tough match.

A tough fought match against one of the best teams in the League, we more than held our own against an opponent that spends 14 times more on wages than we do.

It took a while, but Jordan Williams secured us a valuable point in the dying seconds of injury time.

We become just the second team to take a point off Huddersfield, but with other results seeing MK Dons win, we actually went down a position.

Up next...24th placed Exeter face a tough trip to The Bowl.

I decided to rotate to rest some of the regulars, and give the kids a chance in this match against 24th placed Exeter, and they did not disappoint.

A starting forward pair from the class of 2030, and plenty of other youngsters in the line up, gave a good account of themselves.

Jordan Jack looked like an old man amongst all the kids

A great result shot us up to 6th, although it's all pretty close in the pack from 5th to 16th.

A massive come from behind win as Jordan Williams flipped a switch after 70 minutes and run them down on his own.

Our fans and players alike went crazy deep into injury time when he thumped a header home to help us to come from 0-2 down to win 3-2.

Another solid performance in front of a reduced capacity sell out at The Bowl. Can't wait to get this stadium done so we can get bigger crowds in.

Good to see some young guys getting on the score sheet, and the veteran Jordan Jack finishing it off.

A few games ago it looked like Huddersfield were going to stroll away with this League, but it looks a lot more competitive now.

Up next...we travel to Wycombe to take on the 16th place Wanderers.

Disappointing to concede a late goal, but happy overall with the effort.

A game that we should have won easily, but ended up going to penalties, where Reece Foggarty saved all three attempts by Bolton, in a stunning performance.

The kids all played wee, but just couldn't get a winner in regulation.

Now leaves us and Crewe equal, and we play each other in the final match.

Bolton can still qualify if they win outright, and one of us lose outright.

Up next...a small break for internationals, before we head to Stadium MK to take on the Dons.

The stadium expansion has been completed, which comes at a great time, as we have sold out every home game at the reduced capacity so far this season.

Will be great to see the bigger crowds turn up, and the financial boost that this might bring to the club.

In our 11th season we have now more than doubled the original 3.000 seats we started out with.

But as this is not our ground, we only rent it off the Douglas Council, I think we are fast approaching the ceiling of how far we can push this stadium, before we need to think about our own home.

A full house at the re-vamped Bowl for our first home game since the upgrades were completed, the fans turned out in full force, and we sent them home happy.

Maybe we will need a bigger stadium sooner than I thought

It was always going to be a tough match, and while not surprised to lose, we did push Premier League Newcastle all the way and made them earn their way to the next round.

We also earned about 300k from our share of the Gate, which will be very handy.

Not a good month on the analyst report as we shifted to leaky on the defence, and wasteful on the attack.

1599744926_NOVSchedule.png.53895abba74717ca839f49caf0fb19d5.png

A massive month for November giving us 7 League games, our FA Cup campaign kicks off, and we will send the kids out to try and qualify for the second round of the Pizza Cup, although the schedule will probably change to include a second FA Cup game if we get passed Harrogate.

A hat-trick to up and coming striker Luke Rudd, secured the win, and qualification.

A disappoint result, but a decent performance against the League leaders.

With international fixtures and rescheduled matches, some teams have played two games since we last played a League match, this, along with consecutive losses, has seen us tumble to 10th place on tight table.

Up next...things don't get any easier as we travel to 13th place Tranmere, who are only one point below us.

That's a good match against league leaders.  Nothing to be ashamed of in a 1 to nil loss.  Your team is looking good, holding their own.

That's some statement.

Jordan Williams missed out after picking up a slight knock in training, so I sent Petrosino and Rudd out up front, and they turned it on.

1253740490_MD183.png.148e62659b00987bae8a7dc83adbda64.png

I knew he hadn't scored as many this season, but didn't realise it had been so long.

Part of our issue this season has been finishing of chances, so it was good to see he took them in this one.

So tight is the table that a win jumps us three places to 7th, while there is only one game between 4th and 10th.

UP next...we are still on the road, away to 22nd place Burton, who recently knocked over MK Dons. There are no easy games in this League it seems.

Thanks! We are creating plenty of chances, just seems we are missing a bit in the execution.

We have had a bit of a stop start season with players out on international duty as well, so those disruptions may not have helped.

Yeah, even though he was a bit slow to get going this season, he's our most consistent forward so that is going to hurt.

November, December, and January the last few seasons have just been insane for the number of games to be played.

Letting them lose in the 2nd Round, and they absolutely run amok destroying Doncaster, dominating them all over the park.

This result sees us make the 3rd Round. With some crazy scheduling going on at the moment, the kids will continue to play.

We are unbeaten against them with 2 wins and 2 draws, although they did beat us on penalties in the League Two play off final a few seasons ago, securing their own promotion, before being relegated straight away.

Up next...back to League One action as we travel to Crewe

That's one way to send a message to the competition.

No Jordan Williams, no worries. Marco Petrosino and Luke Rudd combined brilliantly to put Crewe to the sword, while the defence held firm and shut down their opportunities.

We dropped a place, but we are now 2-3 games behind some of our closest rivals. If we can get results in the catch up games, we will be in an extremely strong position.

Up next...the tough matches don't stop as Rotherham travel to The Bowl.

Our boys showed no Christmas hang over as Rotherham were blitzed off the park.

It was 3-0 inside 7 minutes, and 4-0 by half time, and the capacity crowd loved it.

Still holding 4th place.

Up next...we head away to Huddersfield.

What a disappointing game.

Jordan Williams returned from injury, to have two goals disallowed, we lose Richard Paterson for 5 weeks from a bad tackle that didn't even get a card, and we lost.

A good run comes to an end, now it's time to start again.

Still in 4th, but MK Dons, and Wycombe edge closer.

Up next...the tough matches keep rolling as we head to 8th place Southend.

DEC 2030

So close to what would have been a stunning perfect month, but an incredible run of results sees us score 26 goals and only concede 3.

The analyst agrees, the defence has slid back to the good side, and the attack has followed suit.

I have been getting pressure from some members of my back room staff to make a change and replace Jordan Jack with Reece Foggarty.

This months results, and this award should quieten them down a bit.

A review of the stats shows how important it was to get Jordan Williams back, his performances have been excellent.

Also shows how big a loss Richard Paterson will be as his key passes and crosses are huge.

Showing how big a month it was, at the end of November, our goal difference was +8, a month later, it's +31.

Jordan Jack notched up his 300th League game this month, and his performances have been brilliant. Also notched up 4 goals and 4 clean sheets.

4th of the season was deflected into the goal, but keeps his season record in tact.

5th of the season was an absolute bullet to the left.

5 from 5 at the spot this season, and two free kicks takes him to 7 goals for the season.

Now just 5 goals short of his century.

A great month financially, we are making about 170k in gate receipts from a sell out at The Bowl, so the expansion has really helped in that regard.

Wow! Another monster month with 7 league games, FA Cup third round, and Pizza Cup third round.

The games keep coming, and the goals :D

Who is the better keeper? If JJ didn’t need 5 more goals to get his century, who would you select?
