Cray Wanderers Season 4 2025/26

Competitions

Overview

Vanarama South - Table Another reasonable season but one where we started to look like a really good team at times. Another 17th placed finish doesn't look like much progress but I do feel we are on the cusp of making the next jump into the top half of the table soon.

F.A Cup - Our best performance yet as we made it to the 2nd round before losing to National League side Aldershot.

FA Trophy - Knocked out in the 2nd round by Salisbury.

Playing Squad

Squad    Best 11   Transfers

The team is getting better, it is just progress is incredibly slow due to the poor facilities and not great staff. We have 3 intake players who are now basically first team players. Charalabidis 23a is a Greek U21 regular and he is slowly getting better. Yaroshenko 24b is a Ukrainian U21 regular who has put in some stellar performances this season and I am hopeful he is ready for a breakout season. Our main man is Boateng-Gayle 24a, converted him into a striker due to our lack of them, and he has done really well. He managed to score 22 goals in 44 starts in all comps and I am hopeful there is more to come from him.

 Youth Intake

We still are struggling to get anyone through who instantly improves the side but this year we did at least get one player I think can have an impact. Jacob Yahaya 26a looks like he could be a decent player at this level in a few years time and will be getting some game time asap. The other elite talents were:

Anderson 26b

Heath 26c

We also got through 2 CBs who are a massive 6ft 5 tall and although neither are rated as high potential I will try get a tune out of them as we lack depth at centre back.

Rankin 26e and interestingly Kwang - Jin 26l who is a South Korean regen.

Facilities and Finances

Facilities    Finances

Another year of running in the red due to the stadium repayments, and we only have another 7 years left of that loan lol. The cup run helped a fair bit but if only we could have got past Aldershot and landed a big away day game then we may now be in a much better position. Our wage budget is being cut again, first season we had £5k and now its down to £3.5k.

Next Season

Another long season more than likely but I still have faith we can push on and improve some more.

@skills wait a minute...is Jamie Vardy you Ass Man? Getting Vardy and Ox in as HOYD sounds fun! Seriously though I think getting OX in may be worth it, I like Resolute although his working with youngsters isn't great. His knowledge of Jamaica may help get some Jamaicans in too?

Sucks to have Youth leave on a free, only had it happen a couple of times, but I got lucky getting promotions at key times when it looked like some of the players were leaving and then offering them new contracts in May after a promotion.

Worthing FC - Season 18 - English Premier League - Season Preview/Mini Update & Random News

So we are in the promised land. Are guaranteed over 80 million in TV rights and will get 40 million parachute payments in year 1 if/when we are relegated. Things are looking up, except for our Season Preview, where we are odds on favourites to go down.

image.thumb.png.1c7dd291f5cb8a5e6cc861ac22af349f.png

Talking about Odds, I am unsure if I ever seen anyone as favoured to win a league as Brentford in League One. They were actually one of the favourites to go up last year in the Championship and surprisingly got relegated.

image.thumb.png.3104b64794c0d13be986cc7ae2c1a079.png

In other news Jean-Claude Kitoko (YP06A) has had the injury bug in the last few seasons, and with our first EPL game, against Liverpool no less, coming up he went and got injured.

Best Coaching Team in the Premier League!

I was surprised to see I have the best coaching team in the Premier League. I have worked really hard to cultivate a good team with good personalities. Focusing on a mix of attributes and good personalities without badges (as sending them out on coaching courses gives decent improvement)
image.thumb.png.2e9c701a3d258781216ac576636cd5e6.png

Facilities Update

The good news is our facilities are also some of the best in the league. We now have no excuse for bad intakes and or no improvement from players. On a side note we sold 22,000 season tickets this year, but will be moving into a 16,000 seater new stadium. Hoping as soon as it's built we can expand the capacity, as there is clearly demand. We can also now scout anywhere in the world!

Wages

Finally look at the wage disparity! Bournemouth are spending 5 times more than us and the just outside of the 'relegation zone' is spending 10 times more than us.

Random News (Tyler Warren YP01C)

Tyler Warren (YP01C) is my first youth player to get a Manager job. I will be following him closely and if I can I may try to get Maidstone as an affiliate. If he is ever out of a job there may be a place at Worthing for one of my favourite players.

Well finances got so bad I couldn't sign my youth intake players to actual contracts. My mistake for asking for a stadium lol. I'll try Belgium again one day, but I need to kill this one off.

Leaning towards Ukraine as I managed in there for half a season in a journeyman last year (took over a team and got relegated from the lowest playable league). I want to see how I do from scratch this time. Other options are trying Austria or England again.

Belgium is probably the one country I'll try to avoid doing because of how bad their finances are. It's scarily easy to get screwed over by it.

I'd check the media handling as all the Ox is giving you for sure is higher determination with a more defensive tactical  style. For fairly professional your current hoyd is pretty well rounded. Seems he's delivering on the intakes as well?

Funny enough I had actually tried a Ukrainian league as one of my first Youth Challenge teams. When I saw that team as one of the promoted teams I remembered. Now that I have some experience with it I think I'm ready for a second run. Karpaty is an interesting club that was relegated way down due to covid issues in 2020. Fallen Giants may not be a totally appropriate label, but they've had some domestic success and a few European runs in the past.

GyV0m1F.png

Decent enough starting facilities and a good sized stadium. There's also some money in the bank, but I want to see how money is in the country before blowing it.

CF1OJ8t.png

Inherited transfer obligations.

eri3yFs.png

I4xbxaY.png

Based on the club being administratively relegated, the talent in there is fairly decent so I think a promotion is more than feasible. Top two teams are promoted, 3rd and 4th battle to take spots of league above.

m53hfpG.png6AkEg4N.png

Marathon Bet was actually the sponsor I saw on some images online, so that's a legit sponsor.

It's not...I'm stuck in this 2nd tier for Belgium and just having the board give away players every season for peanuts....every pre-season I think about binning this save....but i've come too far!

OFK Beograd - Season 3 - Winter Break

1733255182_PreWinter-BreakResults.png.1f58df35c61443c98cdc2db3dbc4e2ed.png

Going into the new season, my main concern was to not lose my first 5 matches in a row again, for I didn't want to experience that kind of dread again. Instead, we won our first 2 matches and we had a decent start to the season. Unfortunately, things did slow down a little bit towards the end of the first 21 matches, but it's still been a season I consider to be a good one so far.

1449588271_LeagueAtWinterBreak.png.854b783b6c2bdc2224e5401a57064edb.png

Compared to last season, we've gained 5 more points, 1 more win, 2 more draws and an extra position. We truly have a chance to get a top half finish this season, but if we did, I'm not expecting anything of note to happen. Still, we're 7 points clear of the relegation playoffs and 12 points clear of the relegation zone, so if we can do well in the next 9 games, we can avoid being concerned about relegation altogether.

1250222706_SerbialoseChampionsLeagueplace.png.9f970462c226fcb644b51b09c47ab4c7.png

As to why I don't see us doing anything if we finish top-half? One, we're not good enough to survive against most teams that are top-half, and two, Serbia lost a European spot. The Serbia teams have been so poor this season that I don't see us getting the 5th spot in Europe back any time soon either.

826553305_OFKBeogradYouthIntakePreview.png.08ebfd05ddbe2e5307f9102479f3dae3.png

Still, this youth intake preview is probably the most exciting I've ever seen in this save, but I am prepared for my heart to be broken by the quality of intake I end up getting. I do need a good keeper, a good leftback and a good striker, so if I get those three players and they're actually good enough to be able to fight for a first-team spot and not have poor personalities. I might need to get a better HoYD at some point too.

Worthing FC - Season 18 - English Premier League - Mid Season Update and Youth Intake Preview - The Highs & Lows

League - 20th

It is very clear that we got promoted too soon. The money will help, but I hope the morale and the inevitable stigma of the worst premier league team ever will not hurt the club too much. We knew we would be 20th, but we did not know it would be quite this bad. There have been a few games I should've won, but 3 draws is all we have.

image.thumb.png.f079714c8063bc79f9547f183550bf3c.png

Youth Preview

The silver lining here is a stronger preview than I have had in a while. Pity once again our Goalkeeper looks like the best prospect.

image.thumb.png.3eb33dd9db7face0c31c0e32c5deebb7.png

Finances

We are probably set for the rest of the save at this point.

Iceland Youth Challenge: Haukar

Season Review: 2026/2027

Brief post for complaisance. Total domestic domination again winning all four available trophies; cannot remember the last time we lost a domestic fixture!

image.jpeg.1158787e2394417c93c59f2bf848f517.jpeg

image.jpeg.6af5210ccb9ec853e23639570f448a13.jpeg

Transfer History:

image.jpeg.34a1f781ebcdfd990cbe71db1398282b.jpeg

Had our best ever run in Europe after an epic second leg comeback against Shakhtar in the Euro Cup first round knockout:

image.jpeg.912f7aafa79fc6bd082e15e3d3fe6505.jpeg

This success came off the back of a some tactical changes before the second leg. still using the  433 2DM Wide but changing too some more specialised roles  and tweaking defensive systems.

image.jpeg.5f1205844ef7ee9c35213bcd74abd71d.jpeg

With our first few generations of youth players hitting what appears to their peak (still very low quality) I have implemented a couple of more demanding roles (The SV-Attack replacing the DM - Support and an IWB Support replacing the FB - Support at LB) and a slightly more risky approach (a shift to a positive mentality from balanced, albeit within a low block). I was looking for more of a central threat to support the Poacher - Attack and was hoping the SV-Attack would do this whilst also creating more space for the CM - Attack to exploit. All the while the RWB - Attack would be the primary provider and stretcher of play with the Winger - Support behaving as a quasi scorer/creator. The IF - Support is their as an auxiliary creator, linking play between the right flank and the center of the pitch where the RDM - Support is the anchor and primary ball recycler (along with the IWB - Support), told to hold position, stymie counter attacks and always be available for a safe pass. I removed tighter marking as it was causing us major issues in Europe against stronger opposition and instead implemented a lower block and an offside trap in order to make the most of a defensive unit that has decent attributes for Teamwork, Anticipation, Concentration and Decisions, despite being rather slow comparatively.

I chose to implement this in the return leg as I viewed the fixture a write - off due to the manner of the first leg defeat and thus, it was a prime opportunity to experiment a potentially viable tactic that could be developed to use against top opposition. The outcome surpassed my expectations, with top performances from the newly developed central threat, unhinging Shakhtar's  4231 Wide.

image.jpeg.c32a550f400b6de30ab7b945259bbe88.jpeg

image.jpeg.ad7c94f74c3bae1d508bb9dc79a81a62.jpeg

Now, Porisson, who played SV- Attack is an extremely raw 16yo whom I am grooming for the SV role. At the moment he is nowhere near up to scratch. However, with a fairly secure supporting structure around him, he was able to make forward run after forward run, ultimately resulting an assist and often triple overloads in central positions against terrified CB's alongside the Poacher and CM - Attack!

Here's Porisson a few months down the line where we are currently. As you can see, bags of potential but a long way to go (individual training is on shooting which is already yielding some positive results):

image.jpeg.9c9174d7f7967bf9a805452ef44e3ec2.jpeg

Now we weren't quite good enough to make it to the QF's, losing over two legs to a very strong Valencia side,

image.jpeg.169f102a985cb9a0f7962cb132071c91.jpeg

However, the manner of defeat was promising - using the adjusted roles and system in both fixtures the changes to the system looks promising against stronger teams. As player quality improves I feel this can be a progressive system that can have role adjustment based on personnel available.

With this in mind I am entering the new season with two approaches :

-  Continental. The one I have shown above will be exclusively for use in Europe where 99 per cent of the time we will be weaker than the opponent.

- Domestically. I am implementing a far more aggressive version, using a High Block to exploit a League that is essentially a bunch of Part - Timers and full of defenders ready to make a mistake at any moment. As you can see Use Tighter Marking is more than appropriate here as were are far superior to all domestic rivals. Of course, if our player quality improves this may be the way forward in Europe too.

image.jpeg.22d5543c11a1a419b6d859d1297c7e5b.jpeg

European League, Coefficient and Reputation progress:

We are still on the climb, with only one year of 0 coefficient points to drop off before we break into the top 50:

image.jpeg.e8c5520e67e91ecbd53a1ec773a0df34.jpeg

The Icelandic domestic division is still slowly climbing, although it would be nice to not have so many 'second tier' divisions above us:

image.jpeg.99e761add0a2a37fc635ac278f9ac273.jpeg

These rankings have not been affected by our increase in Euro Cup II spaces which is only in effect from this season. Next season's rankings could be interesting!

On a personal note I am now the most successful Domestic manager in Iceland after only 7 season!!!

image.jpeg.a865cb2e88c58fca74e025488110ae4b.jpeg

Ruminations:

- Time for change: The 11 - 1 battering we suffered against Arsenal last season really made me re-think and take time to watch a few more matches in full. It became clear that use tighter marking was tantamount to suicide against the very top sides. Conversely, whilst use offside trap may seem risky, but from the footage  have been viewing, using two players in the DM strata provides constant pressure within a low block and also prohibits the CB's from stepping out of the defensive line despite the more often closing down instruction across the team.

- The future: The changes I am implementing I hope will serve as a flexible platform for the future. I've noticed that the development of most of my current first XI has completely stalled, probably due to low potential ability, but for the first time I have another 7 or 8 youngsters of almost similar current ability and bags more potential, ready to step in.

- Role changes within the shape: Due to the limitations of the players at my disposal I have only been using roles that they can actually execute. The implementation of a SV - Attack is a major shift and is the first of many that may or may not occur. If the correct player comes through the youth ranks the RWB - Attack could easily be upgraded to a CWB - Attack. The IF - Support could become any of the supporting wide roles and the Poacher will again be determined by the skill set of those available. I would be excited to bag a striker with decent Aerial ability in any of my future intakes as I have notices the Poacher is involved in more aerial duals than any other outfield players barring the CB's' the duals are both from defensive clearances under pressure and from crosses in from the wings. Alas, seven intakes and not one player over 6ft. Still, if one comes that tactic can only get better.........

Time to play!

@Daddymade me see sense. Hats off to anyone whose done Belgium, I can't get out of the 2nd tier, just floating around averaging a point per game for about 7 years, so I've resigned, and saved the game so I can't go back.

Enjoyed it overall but last few seasons not fun, and lifes just too short to constantly conceding late goals!

The final nail in the coffin was the youth preview, top of the list, a great keeper...again!!!!

Onto the next one..,

Got a real chance of making it to the group stages this year. It would be a massive boost for our co-efficient! Couldn't of asked for an easier draw after navigating the three qualifiers!

The recently imposed tactical set-up played well against a very strong Dynamo Kyiv. On another day we win both legs:

image.jpeg.6ec61060c40c404065898cb0752a62dc.jpeg

Updated after CL Playoff:

As expected: Job done. I just need one weak team in the Group stage to try and secure Euro Cup knockout football.

image.jpeg.f46867cc099ad2a79bf28be5e0f44ab3.jpeg

Group Draw Update: Eep - no chance here:

image.jpeg.2e876871503201cc8561fc0350d0a169.jpeg

Updated: 1st CL group game:

Sh*t is getting real. After the group was draw I did not expect this:

image.jpeg.c946a9c0e2607d00e36368fad20d2a7f.jpeg

The tactical changes I have implemented for tough opponents has really come good in the first fixture:

image.jpeg.518277e16ef91112830e459ac5dcbe9c.jpeg

For a little perspective, this is my best player attribute - wise LB: IWB - Support:

image.jpeg.9e00df5a0843eb87d50ec2eb384046c9.jpeg

and here is the Winger who grabbed the first goal:

image.jpeg.1b9fe683caf76dec578994e6326f3e6d.jpeg

We are punching WELL above our weight. I have no delusions that we have any chance of glory in the next 5 years but, there is real concrete proof of ambition and success for the future.

Updated: 4 CL group games in.

Going to be tight. If we can repeat the victory over Lazio in the final fixture we will almost certainly have 3rd place in the bag. Very happy with the narrow defeats to European powerhouse Liverpool and a classy Benfica side:

image.jpeg.6b520b8134a315f275f8f688112e3ff3.jpeg

image.jpeg.c7c5e72ea986f00888784889de58cc96.jpeg

Updated after final CL Group Game:

Absolutely blitzed Lazio in the final fixture to secure a 3rd placed finish and a run in the Euro Cup Knockout stages. Will be a relly good boost for our nation's reputation and coefficient.

image.jpeg.cd33d3acd33d94ebf66a9222c9b97a81.jpeg

image.jpeg.534ea9a1c98eca4afc9f0ab7bc2efa7c.jpeg

Lovely performance from the tactic and players. CL Group stage P6 W2 L4. Cannot complain and only took one hammering away to Liverpool 0 - 4. As I had hoped, a massive improvement on the 11-1 pasting I suffered against Arsenal in the Euro Cup group last season. All steps in the right direction!

watching you guys climb up the leagues makes me want to join but the huge seasons intimidate me! I liked the Belgian league especially 2nd tier i got stuck in, only 28 game seasons! So between my kids and work, I was able to churn out a season a week on average. But going with English save you'll be lucky if i can manage 2 seasons a month, which 5 months until FM 23 I imagine, 10 seasons - I'll still be in Vanarama North/South!

I may just have to concede I'm not completing it this year and just enjoy the ride!

I only have the kids to balance but time is definitely limited. Although it's going to be a long slog, Iceland is a 22 fixture season. No play-offs just straight champions or relegation. Plus, due to the weakness of the league we are shoe-ins to win domestically every season and as such, I have been able to fly through the seasons on text only; only using extended highlights for big fixtures (Europe, cup finals, etc.).

Greece (if its elligible)

I had great fun in Greece on FM . It takes a while to get on competitive terms with the big boys (Olympiakos, Panithinaikos, AEK and PAOK) but once this is achieved - European success is not far behind.

@toshimitzou1I'm not sure I will get there tbh as I normally get a real urge to move on to a new country.  I'm really fighting the urge of jumping to Malta, Faroes or to try the Caribbean db. I am still enjoying Andorra so will stick with if for a while longer.  The rest of the teams in the league have all gone professional so that has freshened things up a little bit.

Argentina

Premier League

2045

Season Summary

So, not really bothered by the league anymore, which is sort of weird really. We did ok but were never really in the race as River Plate ran away with it. But third is no disgrace

45leaguetable.JPG.fb4e62528d3d0230f7dc65ebf86fafe7.JPG

Copa Libertadores - the big one! Can I finally win it and complete the challenge? Short answer, no. We got all the way to the Semis again but got battered over two legs by Santos of Brazil. So we try again next season!

Players

We got a good team but STILL no wonderkids! and only one international; our keeper who has 3 caps for Argentina. it's a bit weird!

Finances

Since I started looking short term rather than long term? well.....

Youth

Still, good news about the chocolate oranges, we've had our best youth intake in years!

2022/23 Midseason Review:

Rb1Q5xC.png

Well a bit past midseason, but the league has a winter break and that's when the preview comes out so that's what I'll call it. As I was hoping we're in position to win the league. The squad isn't super deep, but I've had no real issues. The biggest problem is players no signing new contracts. Four of my top players are on expiring contracts and I'm worried I won't be able to keep them. Hopefully once we win league I can.

UP59PZM.png

zoV64cb.png

I haven't asked for a ton, a few more coaches and these upgrades. It's cost about 500K through this point in the season. There's still plenty in the bank, but I need to see what comes in money wise in the offseason before I blow through it all for facility upgrades.

hhXGdoJ.png

As with any early save I'll take everything I can get just to fill out the depth chart.

OFK Beograd - Season 3 - Youth Intake

234712960_ResultsAfterWinterBreak.png.c2f8831ea188e8325c5538777a54f4fe.png

Since the winter break has ended, things haven't gone so well, despite picking up 3 victories in the first 4 matches. We've gone without a win in the last 4 matches and were knocked out of the Kup Srbije at the quarter final stage, the furthest we've gotten in the cup so far.

37076439_LeagueAfter29Games.png.1d5eb284af19db9744aba70d89df3867.png

With a single game to go, we have a chance to finish in the top half of the table for the first time in the save. Admittedly, we'd need results to go our way as well, but given the 3 teams below me are also taking on some rather difficult teams, I have a feeling we can actually pull off the shock top-half finish.

884765832_OFKBeogradYouthCandidates.thumb.png.743ad6057f36855d7e578d1dadac0b77.png

Still, the youth intake has arrived, and we've been blessed with potentially our best intake of the save so far, even if the personalities leave a bit to be desired at times.

478857356_NenadMomic.thumb.png.8b46d0cdea40cddbd354f976fccafbef.png

Nenad Momic is considered the best player in this intake, and I can see why. He gives us more strength in depth at the DM position, even if he needs a bit of work to be to the level that Bozic currently is.

428767982_ElvirHamzic.thumb.png.bedcc7f048f6aa49d5d94a933f317214.png

However, Elvir Hamzic was the left-back that I desperately needed, unfortunately, he has a casual personality, which I will be desperately hoping to mentor him out of in the upcoming years.

27738524_VukStojadinovic.thumb.png.fbeba73e422b155d8485ed9a5208acf4.png

Vup Stojadinovic however, is probably the best player in terms of current ability to come through the academy so far. The first player to have 2 stars in current ability, and someone I could use for my plans, even if his position is full of really strong talent.

535091916_IgorBrkic.thumb.png.443303044490ece2aca250689464bb08.png

The same thing could be said for Igor Brkic, but he can also play across the entirety of the front line, and if I needed to, I could even play him as a CM. Not needed, but an interesting thought either way.

1949939078_StefanBelic.thumb.png.06a57ed62c42f14002c4025c8b91c47f.png

The last person was also someone that I really needed, and that is Stefan Belic. A goalkeeper was needed for the team, and he fills that role perfectly. He does need a lot of work, but compared to the other keepers, he'd instantly be my 2nd choice keeper, for Dejan Jevtic is leaving at the end of his contract anyway.

Best Sub Debut Ever

So things have been getting better in the EPL, this is out of chronological order, but wanted to share my favourite sub and debut ever. 2-0 down to Arsenal away, looking like a lost game, I bring in my young U18 striker, Harry Littler (YP17B) who has been doing well in the U18s and has bags of potential. This is what happens.

Worthing FC - Season 18 - English Premier League - Youth Intake - Could he be a wonderkid?

The youth intake came through and at first glance looked pretty good, if nothing spectacular. On closer inspection, I feel that one player here has the potential for Wonderkid status. There were a couple of Swedish players in there which may just be coincidence but in late Febuary we got another Affiliate in GIF Sundsvall, but surely this is to early to see the benefit of that right?

image.thumb.png.ff5142d034dff45ccc3a8f295b5cf330.png

In terms of personalities, I feel like we are doing better with having a handful of very strong personalities and not many bad ones. Signed all of the tagged players below. Alexander Banks (YP18J) was signed despite the low potential ability as he is a 6 foot 6 CB with a decent personality.

image.thumb.png.c8a57f4cfc173c1b7bc3b6130abcb29c.png

Top 3 - Youth Intake 18

Paul Price (YP18A) - I was excited by him as soon as I saw him. He isn't far from first team level (CB is one of our weakest areas), he has a great personality and when he signed his contract he was immediately worth between 10-17.7 mil. Which would make him our 4th highest valued player. He does need to improve his mentals and he has been put on defensive positioning training straight away. He will get playing time very soon indeed. Could he be a wonderkid? Only time will tell, but either way he is the most promising player to come out of our youth intake in a long time.

image.thumb.png.74a3cafe94c0e3e4ac8ac861ddc42673.png

Christian Stedman (YP18B) - Another great looking prospect with a very good personality. We actually are relatively strong in the middle of the park now, so it may be a few years before he sees much action for us.  Needs some work to improve but I think a year or so in the U18s/U23s and a loan to the lower leagues should give him plenty of development opportunities.

image.thumb.png.67101ea8506c2c0b2e62627537600f0d.png

Bradley Richards (YP18C) - A 6 foot 7 inch CB. Yes please. Has decent mentals to start with which is a promising sign. A good if not great personality and some important starting attributes in the likes of tackling and concentration. Another player who could be in the first team in his late teens.
image.thumb.png.f26ad1dc1082af824def5b214c1918f8.png

Jamie Hornby (YP18D) - Adding this one just for fun. As I went to rename, I was not allowed...as his name is hornby...and FM deems it offensive :idiot: All in all Jamie H looks to be a decent winger and we may try to train him as an AML Inverted Winger, as we are a lot winger on that side than the AMR Winger side.

League Update

Things are going much better and I am actually enjoying the EPL now. It was a terrible long slog to begin, with 3 points in the first half of the season. However we then went on a mini run and have a shot (albeit a long one) to climb out of the relegation zone. I still fully expect us to be relegated, but stranger things have happened. More importantly it gives us confidence, that when we return to the Premier League, we will be able to compete. Plus 3 players in the Young Player of the Month awards means we are doing something right.

I think this is the last upgrade we can possibly get.

OFK Beograd - Season 3 - Did We Achieve Top Half?

1960619957_ResultsAfterYouthIntake.png.40ddb3668013f5ee68a2a1fc05fa27a6.png

After the youth intake, we just needed to do better than three other teams in order to finish in the top half. We didn't after Spartak Subotica ended up having a horrid run of form towards the end of season, which cost us a top half finish. Then the relegation phase of the league we just couldn't do well that well. We kept losing games that we shouldn't have been losing.

476006171_FinalGroups.png.1b642244e6b751f5d58eed9bd6f57bb1.png675038003_FinalLeagueTable.png.2616f2322e8fccc52ee0eb924f9034df.png

Still, we finished in 12th place again and we once again struggled in the last seven games of the season. We saw a 10 point swing go against us with TSC picking up 17 points in 7 games. We were probably never truly in danger of going down, but our end of season form was pretty poor.

1746948393_LASKofferjobinterview.png.1903c8919309703e132ce096508834ff.png

Surprisingly, I got offered a job interview by LASK, and while it told me that I was doing really well at OFK Beograd, it also told me that things can change sooner rather than later.

Still, we completed the Continental A Licence and are now studying for the Continental Pro Licence. So next season we will have completed all of the coaching badges.

66685678_FacilitiesDowngraded.png.102fd280e01e8de472d57e37535b9131.png

Unfortunately, our training facilities did get downgraded by the technology going forward over time. Hopefully we'll be able to get more money over time so we can upgrade the facilities once again.

America De Natal 2023

Season 2 down, plenty, plenty more to go.

We started off all competitions with the Potiguar State Championship, which went horrendously as we failed to pick up a single point against our only other competition for the cup, ABC, resulting in a second place finish. In the cups, we had a poor showing as well, getting knocked out in the first round of the Copa Brasil and failing to get out of the group stage in Copa do Nordeste. Part of this was on our poor showings, but part lended itself to our best player forcing his way out and Saudi Arabian lower league clubs once again unsettling my key players.

By the time the league came around I was struggling to find hope. Identifying a tactical shape had proved challenging to say the least this season, as I had no right side. Not just no quality players, but no players to play at RB, RWB, or RW. I had two 17 year-olds who weren't good enough to play that could slot in at RM, but I was hesitant to play them, so i got to retraining. After teaching a CB how to play RB and an AM to work on the wing, I thought I could make it work with a tactic I had hatched. Alas, a 5 month long injury to the new RB ruined this and I headed into the league with no plan.

On the bright side, restraint creates innovation tactically. After floundering for the first 9 matches of the 19 match league and two places off relegation, I hit a bright spell of form with a new look tactic, which resulted in picking up 18 of the final 30 points. I narrowly missed out on the final promotion group, but I'm excited to go into next season with this tactic and group, which is rapidly developing, and hopefully I can win promotion in 2024!

1248666016_ScreenShot2022-06-19at9_50_56AM.thumb.png.285e64a0682036fa53577d1f87b64050.png

The youth intake was exciting again, though having a poor team in an incredible country for youth will do that. The golden generation text was nice to see.

528858727_ScreenShot2022-06-19at9_31_34AM.thumb.png.70689ebe158464a6c3896ece6f08a01a.png

I'm particularly excited about this guy, as I think he could do a job at the DLP spot very soon.

These seasons are definitely long and even with instant result they take a while but I'm growing attached to this squad so I'll be in Brazil a while I think.

Does having a Director of Football impact anything? In terms of youth development etc. I think the few things I have noticed is when the Director of Football comes up with some news notifications such as this player has done this, or this player looks like he has x ability.

Season 2035/36 - Championship

Our second season in the Championship was a truly surprising one as we improved immensely. I had thought we were up for a good year after beating Real Madrid 2 - 1 in a pre-season friendly.

707797885_2022-06-17(5).png.26ef933c3a447d3681ea16333b3cc0ef.png

We started the season quite well but could never really challenge the top 3 teams being Everton, Brighton and Swansea who ultimately were all promoted. Making the playoffs was great, our performance in the play off however was poor.  On the last day Portsmouth lost and Coventry won which meant we would play Coventry. Away in the first leg we conceded two early and sloppy goals but managed to come back to level terms before the break.  We then conceded from a 92nd minute corner to lose the game. Still tho, it gave us a good chance at home to overturn the result.  We ended up losing 1 - 0 at home in a dour match.

2022-06-20.png.cddee0ce61f48027bf0c12ab63ae2c83.png

Chelsea have become a yoyo club and have been relegated back to the Championship after getting promoted last season.  They have just offered me a job interview. Afterall, i did win manager of the year!

Finances have been tough, losing circa 500k a month but the sponsorship and prizemoney in June is like a sugar hit that brings back the balance.  So much tho that the Board agreed to increase the stadium capacity as we've been packing our 10k capacity to the rafters. Wasnt enough money for anything else.

1219409091_2022-06-20(3).png.63b1987c009e3aec847cdb42a5d39e8f.png

My chairman decided to step down and someone from the Board has stepped up.  No cash injection tho

In the end, i didnt swap my HOYD for the OX and im glad i didnt.  Youth Preview:

2022-06-19.png.6ce6714ab60be9b8b03618574dc28e5c.png

Youth Intake:

(just realised i didnt take screenshot :seagull:)   There were 5 elite talents but the personalities were really nice as well, these are the top 3:

We're in the offseason so the attributes are on the decline.  Magne has really good mentals and high finishing for a 15yo.  Has already been called up to the u21's for Norway

1668876892_2022-06-20(4).png.d0bdd8b2e11cfd20d7a30aa403f9b842.png

Im in need for depth on the right wing and i think ill be playing this guy there.  Is quick and a good dribbler

630134847_2022-06-20(5).png.50007315fdcdcabb8004f371fd2229f4.png

Johnny could develop into a really good box to box midfielder, has got really good physicals and high work rate, teamwork and tackling

587217710_2022-06-20(6).png.d731006ebe17d374390b6ac1e9af655a.png

Not sure what to expect next season, i hope we can push for a play off spot again but Chelsea and Sheff Utd (both relegated) look to be the stand out teams

General forum question, how do you do the hidden sections? I remember seeing it before on another forum from the same provider but I don’t remember the code you have to insert in source mode to get it to work.
