Neo_Geo
@aldojags not much worse than missing out on promotion when you’ve deserved it more than those that went up. Like the thought of Weston as an AMC attacking mid with Sangare as the the DLF, his trait of coming deep to get the ball should do well if Weston can make rubs beyond Sangare.
WhiteCat33
Toni Store Jugglers FC – St Vincent & The Grenadines Season 19 2040/2041 SVG Championship Performance League Champion Cup Champion North American Champions League We salvaged a couple wins at the end, but really this NACL was a good occasion to boost some Determination stats with fines… I don’t feel as bad now that Cruz Azul stepped up and won the whole thing this year, good for them as they haven’t won it since 2026 Caribbean Club Championship Group Stage They really like drawing us with who we faced in the final recently as we get T&T Defence Force in our group this year. They held us to a tie in Trinidad but we took care of them at home first and the other two teams were simple. Knockouts And now we have won it the most of any team! And the Assist record was tied this year by my Mezzala Squad Transfers Youth Academy Youth Intake Preview: Shane Philip found me a CM & a Striker. I won’t hold my breath on the ‘golden generation’ bit though. Youth Intake – First year is an absolute YIKES on first glance. Only a 3* intake with only 2 top prospects and all just Good talents. Youth Intake Squad HOWEVER, he gave me a Model Citizen! Azinho Anderson 19g starts off good enough to play for us though he has ‘low potential’. Philips is the first coach who can actually judge potential decently (12) so maybe this is just the first ‘accurate’ assessment? Also, since the intake came in he got bumped to a 4*, so he might be a sleeper. Since he is a Model Citizen this is easily a 5* PA normal personality player and most likely my next DLP as my starter/Captain is 30 now. Benjamin 19b is a Driven GK with “Reserved” so he has good Professionalism and low controversy in addition to high ambition and determination, so has the hidden trifecta for possible development. Sadly he starts with trash mentals… I usually don’t show the Scholars report, but it shows that Benjamin 19b the GK has bumped up to an elite talent. At least they have the Star Graduate right. Letting both play in the U18s as we have plenty of CMs and GKs right now and hopefully that will help development St Vincent National Team Word Cup NAQ: While the team put on a great performance against St Kitts, Jamaica (ranked 52nd) was a noticeable step beyond the squad. 100 CAP Internationals: My two team leaders are not just club legends but St Vincent International Centurions! Ezra Williams 05a got his Testimonial this pre-season as a true club legend deserves: I took this occasion to look through and build a table of International Players who have more than ~50 CAPs. As I'm producing 20/24 VIN Main players right now I have a lot of players with 20-30 CAPs, so I look to expand this list as they become International Icons Interesting to note that the St Vincent Legends are actually my two FBs who are only 28. Also St Vincent is at an all time high rank of 132 now. Excel & Manager Thoughts Excel: Season 1-15 ; Season 16 - 19 Obviously we didn't repeat our advancement in the NACL, but that's fine. Team is heading in the right direction with players performing in their positions and slowly adding to our youth ranks. Only real negative this year is we aren't making much money. We really will only build up funds for upgrades if we advance in NACL. On the plus side we aren't going broke. I'll be giving my Model Professional Coach another year bringing in youngsters. He was only 30-40% VIN knowledge last year and he's up to 80%. Additionally, he increased both his JPA/JPP +1 to 14/13 and he's only 28! Lets Go Jugglers! libbyshuss
Argentina Premier League 2042 (season 21) Season Summary So, the main problem with Argentina is the complete lack of money. Once your players reach 21/22 they want contracts with wages that are completely unsustainable. The smart move it to keep selling them players off but that means you can never really build a great team. This team was the best I'd built so far and won us the league so I felt sure they could take the Libertadores for us. It's got to be the last season for them though, as look at the projection. At least 4 or 5 of these buggers have got to go sadly..... So how did they do in their last hurrah? League - Brilliant. Really good. Like super good. Up until 4 games to go when we lost to River and then Independiente to finish third. But honestly, Argentina is nuts. Boca were unbeaten until matchday 29!!!! But we beat both them and River in the league this season (and they beat us in return) so we've definitely arrived as one of the big boys. Our points total was the same as when we won the league as well! Copa Libertadores - The big one! Could we do it? Well, we'd have to get past River Plate in the quarter final. And we didn't, losing 2-1 at home and 3-2 away. Goddammit River!!!! Cup - Traditionally I totally suck at domestic cup competitions. No idea why. Except this season we went and won it! Beating Boca in the semi and River in the final. But it's scant consolation really, it's the libertadores I really want! Players So here are the best XI I've had so far, and probably the last time these players ever appear together. It's a sad, sad day.... I might try and keep hold of Sosa and Merlo as long as possible though. They're the best ones! And also because it annoyes how hugely undervalued Argentinian players are! I'd get 5/6m at best for them and they'd be worth 30/40m in a Euro team, easy! Youth So here's the weird thing. It's 2042 and.... Wonderkids Still none! not one! zilch! First save I can ever remember where I've got this far in without a single wonderkid. Surely it's gotta be soon..... Will this year be the year? A very promising preview!!! But less promising intake Not one elite talent? I was about to smash my laptop in a rage when i check Gomez. He looks way too good to be only a 3 star prospect, surely? That looks hugely promising to me! Finances So..... this is weird. I finsiehd the season with 18m debt and a depressing beyond tablets projection. And up there I wrote about how I'll have to break up my favourite team to survive. and then... The board cleared the debt with a 19m loan and gave me 7.5m to cover costs. So we suddeny went to 10m in the bank!!! Lol! So i immediately spent it and decided to keep the team going as long as possible, sensible financial management be damned! The board offered me a new contract too with one of the objectives being to repair the finances. Less than a week later? Lol and so.... Career So during the process of writing this end of season review I've gone from the depths of despair to the heights of mindless optimism. Let's go again!

OlivierL
On 01/06/2022 at 23:54, dkouv said: Sant Andreu – Season 17 (2038/39) Europe A very easy CL group saw us finish first again, but then we drew PSG in the last 16. I was fearing the worst, but we absolutely dismantled them over the two legs, 3-1 away and 4-1 at home. Another tough draw next in last year's runners up Man City. Last time we played them they beat us 5-0 in the Club World Cup. We lost the away leg 2-0, so I thought we were out. But then came a brilliant home performance, we went 3-0 up after 60 minutes and eventually won 4-1 in extra time. Was good to see us create so many chances, that’s something we’ve really struggled to do against the big teams in the CL. Onto the semis, and it didn´t get any easier with Man Utd, the team who knocked us out last year. But our team really turned up for this one, winning 2-0 at Old Trafford and dominating the home leg despite only winning 1-0. Onto the final, first time in the save. And who awaited us? Real Madrid. Have to say, as a Liverpool fan I was properly nervous and excited for this one, not sure I could handle another CL final loss to them, even in FM! And luckily I didn’t have to )) They had a man sent off in the 9th minute and we absolutely destroyed them, 2-0 but it could have been 5 or 6. So, our first proper run in the CL in 4 years, and we went on and won the thing! Challenge complete! I must say, beating City, ManU, and then Real in the final made this my most satisfying FM save for a long while. La Liga 103 points and 1st place again, unstoppable. Players: So, what was our CL winning team? Goalkeeper: Miroslav Nikolic 11b - he really came on this season, we finally have a proper class keeper Fullbacks: Josema 10d and Marc Rosanas 09a - probably our strongest position in terms of depth and quality, these two can both defend and attack very well. Center backs: Guille Arribas 11a finally started playing as his stats would suggest this season, and Brian Hidalgo 12i is the lowest rated player in the team but his height is invaluable. Center midfield: We have Aleix Garcia 06a as the defensive minded midfielder, great mentals and determination, and hardly misses a game. Further up we have Roger Nieto 12c the creator, and Nicoas Paz 09c the attacker. Wingers: Luis Miguel Pastoriza 12a has developed amazingly, and Jaume Soler 08f keeps on playing well. Striker: Vicente Esparza 11c, his finishing went up from 8 to 10 and I think this made a huge difference in those CL knockout games. Stars of the season: Nicolas Paz was our best player with 18 goals and 12 assists from midfield, but probably the reason we won the CL was that we got a proper striker and keeper in Esparza and Nikolic. Player of the save: Aaron Hontoria 01a (history), our first proper defender, key player, mentor, and still a useful squad option in this final season. 492 club appearances in 17 seasons, what a legend! Have to also give a shout out to Muhammed Badjie 03b (history), club captain for the last 10 years and still a first choice centre back this year. 125 caps and 3 times AFCON winner with Gambia, too. Transfers: just letting some squad players go. Facilities: the board said I failed their objective to “develop the best youth system in the country”, presumably because they are still refusing to upgrade youth facilities )) But honestly, who cares! BigJack
Cray Wanderers Season 1 2022/23 Competitions Overview Vanarama South - Considering we were predicted to finish 23rd and spent a fair amount of the season in the bottom 4, finishing 18th can be seen as a good season. It was frustrating at times but a good spell of form in February and March was the key to us staying up as we managed to put together a 6 game unbeaten streak which included a brilliant 3-2 win against Bath who finished 2nd. F.A Cup - A disappointing showing as we fell in the 2nd Qualifying round. FA Trophy - Knocked out by Dagenham and Redbridge in the 4th round. Playing Squad Squad Transfers Best 11 Intake 1 Intake 2 As expected the team when taking over was thin on players and really unbalanced. I managed to kind of get a tune out of them but the intake was very badly needed. On first glance the picks of the bunch are Charalabidis 23a and Upton 23b who scored on his debut but I am going to need to have a proper look over the summer and try get a CB or 2 out of the intake as we lack depth there big time. Other than that there is a couple who could maybe strengthen us in the long term but nothing to be overly excited about. Facilities and Finances Finances Facilities No money really and therefore upgrades will be a long way off. I did manage to complete 2 coaching licenses and start the National A License though. Next Season I am expecting another tough season. We struggled this season and I cant see the intake improving us that drastically that next season wont be more of the same. EDIT: A couple of days after the season has ended and we have big news. The clubs vision has mentioned building a new stadium since day one and its already happening with Plans Announced for a 12'243 seater that will be ready in 2 years time. That could be a massive help if we manage to get the fans in. Edited June 9, 2022 by BigJack
SkiIIs
Season 2032 / 33 - League 1 On the field it was a bit of groundhog day, start the season well, get optimistic, fixture crunch comes in and end up in midtable before a late rally when games are spread and once knocked out of the cups but never enough to challenge for a play off spot and then blood in the youngsters once playoffs is out of reach. Disappointingly a couple of the youngsters ive put time in havent really developed but surprisingly a couple others who i hadnt showed much love have. One of them being Drake (i only name the best 5 of each YI which shows you this guy has come out of nowhere) who is now my second full international debuting for New Zealand during the course of the year. Drake: Off the field we made some inroads again. Manage to squeeze 1.7m from Blackburn for a 19yo MC that had a bad personality but was part of the squad rotation, was happy to accept that with a sell on clause. We immediately used those funds to upgrade the training facilities to Great Our Youth Category has now improved to 2 as well All these upgrades are really hurting our financials, we pack out our 10k capacity stadium but that doesnt really help. We finally did hit the jackpot this season which brought in 1.2m in the FA Cup, first time playing at Old Trafford. This help wipe out our credit balance First YI from our new HOYD, preview: Actual intake was pretty poor, however a noticeable difference in personalities where last year half the candidates were unambitious, still not great personalities tho. On the GK front, Wilcock who was my starter wouldnt sign a contract and i couldnt get anyone to bid for him in January. Porto swooped in and offered him a contract so didnt get anything for him. On the positive note, i was able to renew Brittain's contract and remove the min clause he had Edited June 10, 2022 by SkiIIs

DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2022/23 Rot-Weiss Essen Season Summary We enjoyed an excellent first season as we secured promotion to the 2. Bundesliga, through the playoffs. Season Details League Table - We were always in the top six or so, though towards the end of the season, we went second. We couldn't hold on and had to settle for the promotion playoffs. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - We were never really out of form, though we did drop silly points at times. Promotion Playoffs - Ingolstadt were our opponents and after a goalless draw at home in the first leg, we produced our best performance of the season in winning away and securing promotion to the second tier. Friendlies - We had a terrific pre season campaign and won all of our matches, exzcept one, which we drew against Greuther Fürth, who play in the league above. Squad - We have a good enough squad to survive in the higher division, though we are a long way off challenging again. Squad Dynamics - As you would expect, this is rather good. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out - We had just the one departure, with fringe defender Daniel Heber departing for pastures new. Youth Candidates - It wasn't the best intake, though we have a few players with potential, such as right back Nils Gebuhr YP23C3. Finances - We made a loss this year though with the prize money available in the second tier, this shouldn't be an issue going forward. Key Players Luca Dürholtz - What an extraordinary season from the central midfielder. He was so good, he ran rings around most of our opponents. Yannick Langesberg - Our best defender this year, the centre half was a rock. Thomas Eisfeld - Our best player was injured for the first four months of the season but came back better than ever and produced a string of fine performances. Sandro Plechaty - The right back was dominent and linked up well with Kevin Holzweiler, our right winger. Simon Engelmann - The veteran striker despised me early on, but my charms soon worked on him and he settled down to become a regular goalscorer. Next Season Survival. Anything else would be a bonus. But a fair few more are from the satellite towns like Gava, Badalona, Hospitalitet etc. So maybe around half the squad are from the greater Barcelona area once you count these in. toshimitzou1
Haukar Youth Challenge. End of Season 2024 - 2025. I'm going to only give the basics here as our domestic dominance is unrivalled. We won all domestic honours and walked the league playing our ingrained 433 DM Wide. We went out of CL qualifying in the third qualifying round but had a decent showing in the EURO group stages, qualifying in second place before getting obliterated by RB Salzburg in the knockout round. All continental winnings have at least enabled us to get to a decent point with our facilities, with both youth and training facilities being upgraded aging in the coming weeks. The move to a new stadium in November will boost future earnings. Transfer History: To be honest, I've just got to grind the seasons until our youth players are of enough quality to compete in Europe. Sorry if this is a bit dry, but the playthrough is as well for the time being. Cannot wait for circa ten seasons time when we can actually 'challenge' in Europe.
WhiteCat33
Toni Store Jugglers FC – St Vincent & The Grenadines Season 20 2041/2042 SVG Championship Performance League Champion Cup Champion North American Champions League Group Stage Games 1 - 5 Spoiler Game 1: Boom off the bat in Costa Rica we go up with a close-range scrap by McLean in the 4’! Then in the 2nd half I’m about to sub off our legend Ezra Williams and he shows me up by scoring a goal so he finishes out the match and we win 2-0! Game 2: 3 days later we host Waterhouse at Arnos Vale, the weakest opposition, so we will be doing some offensive rotation to rest up for Seattle. And both of my rotation Wingers show up getting a goal a piece in the first half. And then in the 2nd half my 2nd striker scores a FK from range so all three now have a goal! Only sour note is my backup AML twisted his ankle so will be out for 5 weeks. Game 3: Now the big home game against Seattle, this will determine if we have a shot getting out of the group. They have a nasty attacking Trio with veteran Welsh, Chilean & Austrian internationals with 86, 63 , and 5 CAPs respectively! Hopefully my defense will hold against this very skilled set of strikers. Well, our defense held and we actually dominated the match, but even with 3.10 xG and 21 shots we couldn’t get a single one in and we tie 0-0. A shame as we needed the win here as I expect the away match in Seattle to be brutal. And again, we lose our AML, but this time its our Star also with a twisted ankle. GRRR! Onto my 3rd string AML... [Match Stats] For those interested here Seattle's DPs Game 4: Next we go to Jamaica, and moving my Striker out on the left bears fruit with another 4’ goal for us. That makes it 3 of 4 matches we got a goal in the first 5’. He doubles his tally at the 11’ with a close ranged finish, and makes it a hat-trick just before the end of the first half. He is reasonably quick can dribble and shoot so against average defenses he slays on the wing. We score a PK in the second half to crush them 4-0. Game 5: To Costa Rica and we absolutely dominate them, but underscore our xG only recording a single goal from our legend Ezra Williams 05a in the 54’. We are noticing the lack of our star AML right now who is our major creative force. Though tbf to Nical McLean 14b he is playing very well on the left, he’s just a different kind of player. Game 6: Away at Seattle Spoiler It all comes down to this game against Seattle. If we Win or Draw we will advance as we have the GD lead on them. What a big match! And of course we give up a goal from the Kickoff!?! They replaced their old Welsh winger with a young Colombian who beat my golden boy CB on the dribble 50 seconds into the match. The game looked dire with us getting pushed over the entire first half, but we hold 0-1 at the break. First bit of action in the second half happens at the 58’ where a combination between my forwards sees Wesley Davis 14c run forward from CM and score a goal, 1-1! And the Legend Strikes again; 75’ Ezra Williams 05a beats his opponent on the wing and blasts it in from the 6 yard box. Can we hold out? Lots of highlights for them is keeping my blood pressure up, but our GK is standing strong between the posts till the 89’ where the same Colombian beats both CBs to bring the game level 2-2. And then we have a kickoff highlight which sees my young 2nd striker Burgin 17b make it 3-2. Burgin 17b has had the sub-performance of his life. I was upset with the AML and pushed our striker over and brought Burgin 17b in at halftime. He then has a storming second half with both assists as well as the game-winning goal resulting in a 9.2 rating coming off the bench. We absolutely FM’d Seattle here to advance to the Quarter Final!! Quarter Final We get Nashville SC from the MLS, which is a favorable draw I’d say. Pumas are the scariest of the Mexican teams left and thankfully either Monterrey or America will come through. Good news for us one of their Designated Players, a Striker, is out with a broken leg, so we only have 2 to contend with. Interestingly he’s a USA international generated out of Argentina. Still leaves a pretty nasty Venezuelan young striker and an experienced Chilean CD. They also have a Finnish playmaker who will be tough to control in the CM. I’m excited; It won’t be easy, but it isn’t impossible! First Leg: Home Spoiler We lose our #2 AMR the day before match-day, which is scary with a 9-12 day injury so while he will miss the first game he will be back for the return in a months time. Here we go: Unfortunately they slice through the defense in the 14’ and get an easy first goal… in the 31’ they follow it up with a lethal corner to the back post to send us down 0-2. However, McLean 14b works his magic in bonus time to give us a goal back before halftime. First 15 min are quiet and then I sub in our 16 year old Model Citizen for our 31 year old captain who is struggling today. Instant highlight where a CM combination play hitting Theon Jeffers 12a on the run results in a goal, 2-2! And it almost looked like we got the lead but McLean was a step offside in the 70’ so a goal gets called back. We put the pressure on in the final minutes and even though they get a straight red in stoppage time we can’t find the winning goal. Still an awesome performance by the boys! Bad news is Ezra Williams 05a was off his game today and that yellow means he will miss the 2nd leg, which is a bummer considering both my backup AMRs are out right now. At least Thompson 16a will be back in 2 weeks, which should be long enough before the return leg for him to be fit to start. Second Leg: Away Spoiler I'll start off with I made a huge tactical error. The game is 4 days after an international break. I set my players to 45 mins but I really should have withdrawn everyone from the squad. It was a dumb friendly against the Virgin Islands so pointlessly made my players tired. Game starts and I thought we had it at 9’ in, but McLane is offside. It was then quiet till we dodged a major bullet right before halftime where their Striker beat the gk but hit the ball off the post and out. We are playing our game with possession, just not breaking through to goal with only that one early offside as our only true opportunity. Second half and it happens, they combine and switch the ball for a tap in goal. Now we are on the back foot and need to respond. We have a kickoff highlight but just miss the goal. From here on out it goes downhill as the tired legs are killing us. In the 75' they just beat my CBs to pull ahead 0-2. And a corner in the 89’ makes it three. We just didn’t have it in us this game. Next time I will be withdrawing my entire starting lineup from international duty right before this game. Matches Spoiler Caribbean Club Championship Group Stage Wow, we almost didn’t get through to the knockouts for the first time since 2024/25 where we lost to the tie-breaker bug. Our final game was against Mount Pleasnt FC who we had to Tie or Beat. We went down 0-1 off their only real attempt of the game and we just couldn’t score no mater what I tried. Then 93’ our LB steps up to take a direct free kick and he scores it! He doesn’t have good FK taking (8) or long shots (3) so he hardly ever takes them, but man what a clutch goal saving our continental dream. [Match Report] If he hadn’t scored we would have tied Mount Pleasant FC exactly on Points & Head-to-Head however we would have scored one less goal than them when beating up the bad teams so wouldn’t have advanced. Knockouts Quarter Final & Semi Final Spoiler Quarter Final – AS Capoise 1st Leg: Started with a penalty and then a well finished close-range effort from Theon Jeffers 12a. Had a lot of chances but didn’t get a third till late in the 2nd half also by Jeffers and a 4th scrapped by Williams 05a from a free kick. 2nd Leg: Even though we were home the boys didn’t seem as into the game. While we dominated possession and shots we still tied 2-2 due to defensive lapses. Whatever, we advance. Semi Final – Defence Force 1st Leg: Away, first half we dominate possession and take chances but nothing goes in. Then start of the 2nd half a FB botches a run inside and they get an easy tap in. Then of course 84’ my CM gives up a penalty which they convert for our first Semi-Final leg defeat in a while. 2nd Leg: Home, my DM injured himself in practice so my Model Citizen got the start. 38’ we get our first goal back on a Corner Kick header. It then took till the 78’ for us to final get a second with McLean scoring from the top of the box. And then in the 85’ we replay the corner play to the other CB and he scores so we flip the script winning 3-0 Final: Don Bosco (@Arnos Vale our first home final in 6 years!) Spoiler 33’ we get awarded a penalty and my RB steps up and fires it home! Then in the second half 65’ Jeffers 12a gets the sta dium jumping with a second goal. It’s a good thing too as they pull one back in the 74’ and a second in the 83 with a nasty shot from 25’ out that beats everybody. Then we have to go into extra time after this collapse. Only sparing highlights until the 113’ where our striker gets brought down just outside the box. Wesley Davis 14c steps up and smashes the kick home to get us the winner! Turned into an exciting fixture for our 7th CCC Title in the past 9 years. Squad Our personalities now are awesome in this team. We have: 1 Model Citizen ; 7 Professionals ; 3 Resolute; 5 Fairly Professional & 1 Driven. Of our regular players that leaves only 4 who have inferior personalities. Young Talents: The squad is aging now and we are slow to get the players in to upgrade. There are only 3 U-21 Players getting Starting XI spots and the 3rd isn't an improvement, just a replacement. Westfield 17a is an actually good CB who has developed amazingly well. All four of his 16 stats are key attributes for a CB and he really doesn't have a weakness as one of our BPDs. I made sure to get him on a 3 year contract with a 3 year extension without a release clause as he easily could be a player who won't re-sign. Aren't Model Citizens beautiful! He's constantly like this and trains between a 9.5 - 10.0 all year long As I mentioned he's not an improvement for AMR just keeps our ability where its been as Williams 05a (31) sunsets. Transfers One player worth mentioning is Emerald Lee 11c, who is actually our best GK however he has been developing amazing on loan in Trinidad. Last season (2041) he led TLH Rangers to their first league title in a decade as well as was the GK of the year for the TT Pro League. He's spent so many years there he counts as a T&T Homegrown player This will be his final season on loan which will end in December, which is perfect timing to get him ready for our next NACL challenge in February. He is a mess physically, but the GKing ability is actually not bad. Youth Academy Youth Intake Preview Youth Intake Youth Intake Squad Unfortunate on Balanced and Unambitious for the AML’s but to get a Professional CB is excellent. And with that ability he’s good enough to be my 3rd choice right away. GK could go either way What’s interesting now is hardly any players are coming from Arnos Vale (where the team is technically based), but it gives us our two best personality prospects. I took the 5 Top Prospects plus an extra CB. And here is the 2042 Scholars Announcement and look at that we get two promotions to Elite Talents Its on a random player, but this is a hidden trait I never knew about HOYD Well I’ve gotten a retired player Model Citizen HOYD now! Decision is, do I switch him to finding players or keep my Model Citizen Coach? I’m open to suggestions here as I don’t know if JPA/JPP are more important than Staff Roll/Tactical Style. My gut says no. At least for this next year I won’t change it as my HOYD develops knowledge of St Vincent. Pressure is on Shane Phillips, can you deliver a second Model Citizen player in 3 years? Club Improvement I am pushing the finances this year and got the board to agree to a Facility upgrade even though this will cost more money than we have in the bank. Excel & Thoughts Excel: SEASON 1 – 15 ; Season 16 - 20 A good performing season, though the CCC was a closer contest than I'd like. With the age of the squad and the rate of youngster talent I think the next 5 seasons will be the golden window to try and make it further into the NACL tournament. We've shown that we are competive with MLS sides, it will just take a favorable draw like we got this year and the players performing to their max. We already have direct replacement/upgrades for our 3 current 30+ players, but we have many 26-28 players who we just do not have the youngster talent to replace. Granted I will be playing players to the end of their useful life here, but even stretching them we will see a cliff in 5 years if the quantity of talented intakes doesn't step up substantially.

Popular Post glennuk
Worthing FC - Season 14 - End of Year Review - League One - Back to Back League - 2nd - Promotion What a season. Back to back promotions was not expected, especially considering that is 2 promotions in 3 seasons (after spending a LONG time in the Vanarama National). We actually could have won the league outright if we had won our last game of the season and had better end of season form. The Squad A very similar squad to last season, who outperformed all expectations. A special shoutout to my new full backs, Tamas Magyari (YP09C) and Allen Baker-Moran (YP13C) who were new to the starting line up this year (I almost let Magyari go previously) and have really developed well and come on strong. I know next year is going to be a bit of a struggle, but hopeful that these guys can keep on outperforming their skill level (most are rated as Vanarama National or low Sky Bet League Two standard) Jean-Claude Kitoko (YP06A) is still a phenom. He misses a lot of games due to the African Cup of Nations, he also had that bad Torn Hamstring that kept him out for 3 months, but when he plays, he plays. He is the one player who is actually at Sky Bet Championship level. The Finances With the sale of Jonny Docherty (YP10A) for a record fee (6.5mil) we have been and will be fine financially. The increase in sponsorship also helps. The Accolades & Upgrades Stadium expansion, so we will spend the first few months of the Sky Bet Championship season at Brightons stadium the AMEX. The Future We have some good young talent now. Decent finances, but will be very much punching above our weight. Hoping for a low mid table finish, but know we will be in a fight to stay up. Hoping we can keep most of our strong young players, Jean-Claude Kitoko (YP06A) is not going anywhere, I want him to retire at Worthing. dcayton9
America De Natal - Youth Academy Challege Begins I've never tried one of these, but they've always intrigued me and with a computer repair wiping all of my local data, including my FM saves, I figure now is a better time than ever to begin! I hope it's not cheating to be starting in the nation with the highest youth rating, but as I've never ventured outside of Europe for a save, I wanted to do this challenge somewhere else and Brazil seemed a logical place to start. The promoted teams from Brasileiro Serie D presented two interesting options, America De Natal and Caixas do Sol. Caixas had a tier higher youth facilities than America, however the lure of America playing their home games at the 32,000 all-seater Arena das Dunas (built for the World Cup in 2014) was too strong. Thus, my adventure begins here and along with the league, we are one of two main contenders, with our rival ABC, for the Potiguar State Championship. This will give plenty of playing time opportunities to the entire squad and give us opportunity to win trophies early! I'll be back with an update after season 1 and here is my manager, ready to begin.

Daddy
Ashkelon wrap up: As I said in last post I got as far as I felt I could as it was. Winning the Conference League was great, but I think as it was it would have required an insane amount of seasons to build the nation basically to where the club would be able to hold on the players that were needed. Our rep and bank account were still quite large so I was curious if I could get my old players back. I was able to get all but a few. The ones I couldn't would have been real difference makers too, but they were starting for top flight clubs, so it's understandable. From there I grabbed a couple other top Israeli players and a few foreign players (there's a limit on registration) and walked the league. Champions League I had PSG & Barcelona. I didn't beat either, but I drew them each once, which is a step up from getting crushed. In summary I think more nation building and some smart transfers and with the right draws could easily make it to the knockouts and probably win a match or two. I never intended to run that experiment long, and it's outside the scope of the challenge, but I figured anyone following along may have been curious where I ended up with it. Now that I'm finished with that, what's next? Belgium has always intrigued me. I know it's a really tough country, but I wanted to at least give it a shot. There was one other club I was eyeing up, which had stronger recruitment, but the other facilities weren't as strong. This club also starts out with 974 season ticket holders, which is double the other options. Felt like a better fit. I do have one question though, this transfer was set up before I joined and I was unable to cancel. With the rules of the challenge, is it okay since I didn't do it or should I sell the guy off right away? No clue what to expect. This is as close to the actual kits I saw on their webpage. Their sponsor is Gazelle, but that wasn't with the packs I had so I found a similar looking one with the letter G. I'll keep the color scheme going forward, but will, as always, mix up the kits. I'm also trying a different tactic out than I normally use. going away from the 4231 I normally use.
Popular Post libbyshuss
Argentina Premier League 2043 (season 22) Season Summary I'll keep these summaries short from now, I'm sure everyone is bored silly of my Argentinian adventures. Trouble is, I can't quit! I'm so close! League - we were brilliant, unbeaten for the first 20 games and at one point a good 10 points ahead. Our form slipped at the end as I prioritised the Libertadores but we still won quite easily Copa Libertadores - Here's the big one! Group stage was fairly easy peasy Into the second round:- We never got further than the QF before!!! The semi final was against Cruzeiro and we were amazing in the first leg! so into our first ever final! Win and the challenge is over!!!!!! And....... Players We managed to keep all but one of the team from the season before which really helped with the success we had this season. Trouble is we've had around 15 seasons of youth intakes with minimal defensive players appearing. I'm drowning in attacking midfielders and strikers! Youth So will we get defenders in this intake??? Signs point to..... no Wonderkids Most amazing thing about this save is I've almsot completed it and about to enter 2044 and I've still had zero wonderkids come through! I've only had one make the next gen top 50 list as well. I've never known such a wonderkid free youth save before! Luckily Argentina has such a high youth rating and relatively low league rating that the players I am getting are more than good enough. Just a bit odd! Finances Suddenly looking a lot healthier thanks to the Libertadores run. And we move into our new 40k stadium next season too! Things were so uncharactersitcally positive that the board even agree to this:- Career
Neo_Geo
@libbyshussthats agonisingly close, if you’re enjoying the save still then I guess another season or two won’t hurt that much Still crazy to think you haven’t had a single wonderkid in that length of time, maybe it’ll all happen in one season….wonderkid and Copa Libertadores and challenge done. JLAB
OFK Beograd - A New Beginning Decided to take on Serbia to mark my first attempt outside of the big 7 leagues for the challenge. We're taking charge of a side that were former Yugoslav First League and Cup champions. They finished 3rd in the Serbian top flight as recently as 2010. I also decided to make a manager who was born in Serbia too, taking the profile of one of my coaches in another save. The board only expects us to fight bravely against relegation. The reason for this is the fact we only have 16 players and 3 of them are retiring. I will be forced to use greyed out players at some point. The media expect us to be fighting to avoid relegation this year. With 4 teams going down, I expect it to be a struggle to say the least. At least the league rules are practically made the challenge. glennuk
Worthing FC - Season 15 - Sky Bet Championship - Mid Year Review & Youth Preview - 12 is the magic number! Well....I didn't even take a screenshot of the league table, as we have been nothing short of abysmal. 24th from almost the first game of the season. We are about 5 points from safety and I have decided that it may be time for a bit of a rebuild/upgrade. So we went for any big sale that came in, with the hopes that my youth intakes, facilities etc would improve enough to become a bit more established than we currently are, especially as some of the players I have sold (below) wanted to leave and would not consider new contracts without low (2-4mil) min fee clauses. Pre Season/Mid Season Upgrades We upgraded our youth facilities and also training facilities after cashing in on the sell on (50%) clause for Paupol Tshibamba (YP11A) which netted 1.28mil (he is worth 5-8mil but I have been burnt before on this) Winter Sales We went through a winter sale period. Jarvis "Jimmy" Greaves (YP12B) became our new record sale, the chairman accepted 2mil plus 5mil add ons, so I decided to offer him out for more and Leicester gave us 7.5mil up front with a 50% Next Sale Clause. This one stung a bit, as he is very good and could be an EPL player. Next up was a bit of a strange one. Our 2nd choice AMR Kevin Henry (YP12H) was wanted by a few clubs. Palace came in with 5.75mil plus 50% of next sale after some negotiating and I thought it was well worth it. Less sad about this one. Lastly Kyle Smith (YP12A) our 2nd choice striker was sold for 6.25mil plus 50% of Next Sale. He was the heir apparent to Jean-Claude Kitoko (YP06A) so it is a bit tough losing him, but I feel I am destined to go down and want as many upgrades as quick as possible to sustain our push to the Premier League. Note: I never realised how overpowered by 12th Youth Intake was . Some of that money was used on another upgrade to the Youth Facilities pretty soon after. Youth Intake Preview Not an especially promising preview. We could do with a good CB or Winger, but we are very strong in the GK area. glennuk
Worthing FC - Season 15 - Sky Bet Championship - Youth Intake Youth Intake time and with the rather underwhelming preview, I did not expect much. However the intake was probably better than I expected. Another good Goalkeeper, but he will come in as 3rd or 4th choice (I seem to have a lot of good GKs) and nice to see a few different nationalities again. Personalities okay, but not great. I am starting to consider getting a new HOYD, more for a change than any major disappointments. Top 3 - Youth Intake 15 Jake Harrison (YP15A) - The fairly professional personality is ideal, as is his position as a CB who could also do a job at LB. We are weak at CB, so hoping in a year or two he could be a solid rotation piece. His attributes are nothing special to look at, but I do like the decent physicals and he certainly has the potential to grow. Lucas Nagy (YP15B) - Even though I don't need another GK and he will be 3rd or 4th choice, I hope he will improve enough to fight for a spot in the first team. The fact that he is either footed and doesn't have any major weakness (his distribution not being great isn't a huge issue), is a huge plus. Danny Mitchell (YP15C) - I can't quite put my finger on why I like Mitchell, but I have a good feeling about him. Maybe the fact he is left-footed, or that he has relatively good mentals compared to most other youth players, or he could be one of the many Youth Players I guess wrong about....only time will tell.
Daddy
2023/23 Midseason Review: After 28 games the top and bottom four teams break into playoffs. With how we're doing I'm not worrying about the relegation playoffs. The top four teams will enter with 50% of their points from the regular season and then play each other twice. First place gets promoted. Lot of negative dynamics to start the season off with, but winning seems to cure all. I think we have a solid shot at going up. Youth Intake Preview: The cupboards are fairly barren, so anything coming in is good to me right now.
JLAB
OFK Beograd - Heading Into The Winter Break So far, it's been a rather difficulty start to the season. It's easily been the hardest start to a league campaign that I can remember, and the run of 7 games without a win helped cement the fact we're struggling. The fact we've also yet to keep a clean sheet in the league also doesn't help, nor does the fact that we were beaten in the 1st game of the Kup Srbije so far. Still, as things stand we are 12th place before the winter break that last over 2 months, but after 30 games the league splits and the bottom 4 sides all go down. We really need to pick up more points to give ourselves a good buffer just to feel like we could survive this season. Still, the first youth intake preview has come in, and it's promising to say the least. We need more players, and we're being promised 16 new players, which would double the amount of players we currently have. Give me something to work with as I attempt to avoid relegation and being sacked in my first season in charge.
DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2023/24 Rot-Weiss Essen Season Summary A decent enough first year at thislevel as we retained our status as a second tier side. Season Details League Table - I should be satisfied with survival this year. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - We were comfortably in the mid table range until a dreadful run of form in the final third of the season meant we were looking over our shoulder. DFB-Pokal - A poor performance at home to top flight Hoffenheim eliminated the club at the first round stage. Friendlies - We enjoyed another unbeaten pre season campaign, which got us off to a nice start for the season ahead. Squad - We do need a lot more depth, so these players need to develop for the club to challenge for the next level. Squad Dynamics - After such a poor run of form, the club atmosphere needs some work. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out - Three youngsters left on loan with just the permanent departure. Youth Candidates - It was a fabulous intake with goalkeeper Niels Burggraf YP24A17 looking like one of the best players I have ever welcomed through the academy. Finances - With the league prize money coming in, we have a very healthy bank balance. Key Players Luca Dürholtz - Whilst the midfielder was once again one of our best players, his performances have dipped slightly from last year. Yannick Langesberg - The central defender was once again our best defender. Thomas Eisfeld - When he plays, he is excellent, it is just a shame he spends a lot of time in the treatment room. Sandro Plechaty - The right back was good enough, though he is capable of a lot more. Niklas Tarnat - Playing in the holding midfield role, he did a good job for us for the whole season. Next Season Maintain our 2. Bundesliga status. glennuk
Worthing FC - Season 15 - Sky Bet Championship - End of Season Review - Yo-Yo League - 24th It was not a fun season. We actually performed better than 24th and had a decent chance with 8 games left to save ourselves, however 4 points from our last 5 games was an apt way for our season to finish. The back-to-back promotions was obviously too quick of a rise for us, with most players at Vanarama National or League Two level we struggled badly. The Squad No one performed really well. Jean-Claude Kitoko (YP06A) tried but it was not enough to be a one-man show. The Finances The sales in January definitely helped set us up for the long term. I am however not quite sure how our sponsorship took such a dive this season. Hopefully that will rectify itself. The Facilities This is where we currently stand in terms of facilities. We are well set up for the future and the board came to me with the idea of upgrading our coaches wages. I asked for Training Facilities instead and they accepted (it never came up as a news item though, so no idea how much it cost). The Future We are favourites for relegation somehow, but I think we are well set up for the future. We are also in a place where any transfer will have to be huge or for a very unhappy player for us to accept. Jean-Claude Kitoko (YP06A) being our one player in the Media Dream Eleven is no surprise.
JLAB
Youth Intake Day For whatever reason, since the winter break, something has clicked and suddenly our form looks incredible. While we're never won consecutive matches, we've only lost once since the winter break. It gives me reason to be optimistic. Yet despite how good our form has been, we've not truly been able to escape from the relegation fight at the bottom, but we do have a chance to avoid being in the relegation group if we finish in 8th place, which is only 3 points away from us right now. The board have enjoyed my work though, as we've been given a new one-year contract. We have also managed to complete our National C and National B Licences so far as well. With our National A Licence on the way as well. Still, we've had our youth intake and with 16 players, it's already doubled the size of our current squad. The most exciting of the players is Milan Maric, who has the best personality and the best potential out of the group. We might need to train him to play as a CM though, as we don't use AMCs in this tactic. The 2nd best player is Dalibor Bakic, who has the exact same problem as Maric, good in a position I don't use. Still, if I could get Maric and Bakic to play together in the CM roles, we could be really good. The last of the 5 star potential ability players is Petar Ristic, who is good with both feet. It's just a shame about his height and his personality. Still, the last exciting player with good current ability is Jasmin Kurtovic. Has Bosnia and German nationalities and is someone that I could see being a talent for the future. I just wish he wasn't unambitious though.
aldojags
@glennukhard lines man-that's a long hard season you had there. A lot of people who have completed the challenge have had relegations though so hopefully you're back up in a year or 2. That young keeper - he looks great, you must be well stacked in that position if he's not going to break into the team. I'm the same in my belgian team - I get a good keeper every year it seems like! Great bank balance and infrastructure though so you're well set up for long term success! @Daddyit's cool watching someone else in Belgium although I am worried you'll make a mockery of the struggles I've had, ie being stuck in 2nd tier for like 8 years now! But it'll be good to compare! @JLABdoes the relegation group reset your points again? Seems unfair you're at risk when you're so many points ahead of the bottom. I like the look of Maric with a great personality too.
