Please post any data issues related to England's EFL League One (Level 3) here.

As much of the data is subjective we’d ask that you respect everyone’s opinion and accept that the final decision is that of our club researchers and our heads of research.

We also request you please adhere to the following three point plan when posting in the data topics:

·        State what you think is specifically wrong with a particular piece of data.

·        State what you think the data should be.

·        State reasons/proof for your suggested corrections/improvements.

Please note that any non-data issues specific to England's EFL League One (Level 3) should be reported in a new thread on the Bug Tracker (at that link). This would include issues such as league scheduling, league table sorting rules and match rules.

Hi guys,

Really love your work, just a couple of issues with the staff at Morecambe (League One):

- Matt Rushton (Performance Analyst) is no longer at the club and has moved to Blackpool, as far as I'm aware he's performing a similar role there. https://twitter.com/mattrusht0n?lang=en

- Assistant Manager John McMahon is listed on the game as being 71 years old, he's actually 57: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_McMahon_(footballer,_born_1964)

Beyond that, I've not noticed any issues.

Thanks and keep up the great work!

Unsure if this is the right place, but have started a save with Gillingham.

They have been placed under a transfer embargo in real life, but are still permitted to sign free agents and loans. However in game I am unable to make any signings at all.

Link to Steve Evans discussing the embargo:

Loaded up my usual Charlton save to start. All looks great so far, only one thing I've noticed that might need changing. In game Jake Forster-Caskey is injured for the whole season. In real life he is currently back running outside and hoping to return to training over the next month or 2 so I would estimate back around the xmas/new year period rather than out for the whole season

Our 3rd kit might need altering slightly.

On the game it is white.

It hadn't been officially announced till the beta came out but the chairman has just posted this after the "leak"

Vs in game

A few minor Sunderland things

Adam Richardson is on a pro deal as per

https://www.safc.com/news/academy-news/2020/february/richardson-pens-long-term-deal He’s also listed in the EFL squad list

Zac Johnson should be spelled Zak

Henry fieldson is left footed according to his agent also holds his date of birth

https://www.thesportsagents.co.uk/football/henry-fieldson

Cameron jessup has played cb every appearance since joining and is listed as such on the club website

https://www.safc.com/players/u23s/cameron-jessup

Jacob carney is 6 foot 2 according to himself 3 minutes into this

Excellent effort to it all though considering there seems to be an active effort from the club to hide the youth teams in recent times

Thanks for that - I've made those changes for the Release database.

Richardson, as a first-year scholar (I think, the club hasn't issued any date of birth details) wouldn't have signed a pro deal when he was in the U16s last season, as that report states. That would be a scholarship he signed if he was U16s. One cannot sign a pro deal until your 17th birthday.

Sunderland have been THE hardest team to get any youth info on in League One. I don't know why they are so determined not to acknowledge the players in their website.

Thanks for that agent link - hadn't seen that before. Very useful, have updated some physical data for Fieldson based on that.

Yes, his injury return date has been changed recently and will appear in the Release version of the database.

The article is from February 2020 when the club announced his pre contract, presumably in response to a lot of players leaving from his age group, he’s now a second year the below screenshot shows him as a contract u21 player for 21/22, I noticed also Luke chapman isn’t listed there so I can only imagine he’s still on a youth deal

I also noticed Nathan newall has the same agent as fieldson so could be useful information there for him as well

Good spot, but Matt should be NFE. Was only ever doing analysis at Morecambe due to lack of staff and was always the 'media man'. Gone to Blackpool in that role.

Wigan - not had chance to look at the data properly so far but one I've spotted - no way will Jason Kerr be on £16,000 a week.

No way of justifying my hunch but when we beat Charlton to him on deadline day I think there was talk that they'd offered him £3k p/w

Hi

Portsmouth are missing Gabriel Kamavuako, Sonny Fish, Kevin Bosaka, Billy Fuller, Maxwell Hurst and Harvey Laidlaw from the under 18s.

Also Under 18s Coach  James Barlow is missing, and so is David Hills who is the GK Coach for the Under 18s.  Hills replaced Joe Prodomo who has left Portsmouth for Bournemouth Under 23s.  Sean O'Driscoll has also left the club.

James Howell is incorrect, his name is Jamie Howell

Hope that helps :)

Kerr's wage is auto-created as it was left blank in the database. I'll set a more appropriate wage for the Release version of the database.

Linked-In shows Prodomo at Bournemouth as U23 coach from August but its difficult to work out if this is before or after time at Pompey

He joined Portsmouth but left in August for Bournemouth, official line being his family home is there, although as we know O'Driscoll and a few weren't happy and left.  Ex Everton youth goalkeeping coach David Hills replaced him.

Of the players in the youth above Gabriel Kamavuako and Harvey Laidlaw have both impressed, only Dan Gifford has played more games than Gabriel.

Thanks Major. Could you please confirm the current playing positions for Gabriel Kamavuako, Sonny Fish, Kevin Bosaka, Billy Fuller, Maxwell Hurst and Harvey Laidlaw from the under 18s. There may be a chance we could get these guys into the DB before its locked down (which will likely be very very soon)

Wigan - Appreciate takeovers can be a bit random in game, but given Wigan have only recently been taken over IRL, I saw there were rumours of a takeover by a local businessman 3 weeks into a new save which I would say is a bit out of scope.

The clubs new owners look to be here for a while especially given they’re so new IRL. May have just been a random event but if it can be tweaked to not have a takeover so early on in the game?

Errrm not sure if i'm right reporting this here, but Bersant Celina is classed as 'unavailable' due to injury, although he's just played an entire pre-season!

Hey. Cheers for raising that one.

I think this must've been set when he had a heart scare back in August - https://www.eadt.co.uk/sport/ipswich-town/itfc-target-celina-out-with-heart-problem-8204628
We would've decided it was right to set him to be unavailable for the three months that the press said he would be taking away.

Great to see him back playing, at the moment, and we will definitely remove that unavailability, or at least reduce it from the start of the game.
That should be fixed for FM22's release.

Peter Kioso, MK Dons.

I don’t think he should be declared for DR Congo.

Here is in preseason talking about his international aspirations and how he’s eligible for both Ireland and DRC. Doesn’t sound like he’s declared for them at all.

Oxford United Away Shirt shorts incorrect.

3D match engine displays the shorts and socks as orange despite the socks and shorts being black in real life. I assume that this is due to the away kit being orange last season.

Image shows United wearing their black away kit at Bolton earlier in the season.

Thanks for spotting that, voidoh.

The orange was set as an alternate last season, and not deleted, even though the correct away kit with black socks and shorts was inputted. The game AI identifies a clash and chose that away alternate. That's now been deleted for the Release vesion of the game. Thanks for letting us know of this error, a difficult one to pick up in testing.

Hi, thanks for all your hard work. Beta is great so far. A few things to point out about the club I support, Plymouth Argyle.

Dave Galley is listed as the Head Physio on a part time contract. However, I don't think he's the head physio anymore. He's reduced his role and his now only working part time.

I understand Nick Fulton is now the head physio. See LinkedIn here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/nick-fulton-54645066/

Also, Jordon Garrick you do not acknowledge that he can play at right wing back competently, left wing back awkwardly and regularly as a striker.

Striker https://twitter.com/Only1Argyle/status/1450518647223504896?s=20   https://twitter.com/Only1Argyle/status/1449359517217591304?s=20 https://twitter.com/Only1Argyle/status/1442949003847475201?s=20

Right wing back https://twitter.com/Only1Argyle/status/1446824936073572352?s=20

Left wing back https://twitter.com/Only1Argyle/status/1444286056128552962?s=20

I would also argue that Darren Way is not the U23's Manager. He is just the U18's Manager. Although the club don't have an U23's entered into a league, an U23 team played in the Premier League Cup (got knocked out after their first match). In that match first team coach Kevin Nancekivell managed the side & has done this in previous seasons also. So i would say U23s Manager is his secondary role. See article here: https://www.pafc.co.uk/news/report-argyle-under-23s-1-exeter-city-under-23s-2

Please let me know if you need any further info.

I don't think I'll actually be able to provide proof as it's a bit subjective but for Portsmouth:

The Cowleys being on the favoured personel seems a bit premature.

Oxford being listed as a competitive rivalry as well.

Thanks for your feedback. All the data is subjective I suppose and football is always about opinions, especially if they differ :)

Cowleys have a mid range rating, have been welcomed with open arms, very open and honest and continually big up the club, the people and the city. Play a much more expansive style of football than Jackett which fans love. Jury still out on how successful it is. Arguably premature and the view of the fans will fluctuate. After the Sunderland game it would have been very high, less so after Rotherham and Ipswich. I do trawl fansites to get a view. Plenty of time for them to move to the disliked section :D

Oxford again mid range rating along with Plymouth and Sunderland and in part is due to play-offs. There have been some heated matches in the past and also some classic. I was at the 5-5 game in Oxford.

These do seem to change as time goes on, some become less and some start from new because of incidents. This didnt help: https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/11304198/mowatts-mad-minute

Dave Galley is effectively the head of it all but Nick Fulton is the 'Head Physio' as in full time. Felt this was the best way to reflect this in game.

Garrick has positions set for RWB, LWB and striker. He hadn't played as a wing back before this season and feel what has been rated is fair based on this.

Darren Way should be U18's manager? How is this showing in your game because he is set as U18 Manager.

It was set to end on 02/11/2021. @Dean Gripton removed it entirely, a day or so ago. Should we add it back, but change the dates a bit @fairsy?

Let Grip know the dates you'd like it to be, as soon as you can, because we're close to the point where the db will need to be locked for FM22 release.

Came across a few Sunderland dates of birth from yesterday’s programme

Patrick Almond 16/04/2003

Tom Scott 06/11/2002

Harrison Bond 04/12/2003

Zak Johnson 25/05/2005

Caden Kelly 20/11/2003

also despite the club website saying Ethan Kachosa is left footed he appears to be right footed

Agree with this - they'd been in charge for 12 games prior to this season. Too soon.

Another quick Portsmouth one - Reeco Hackett-Fairchild is now known only as Reeco Hackett. Sources - local journalist reporting the change, his own social media and official club site now referring to him in this way

He's still very new to the wingback roles, the majority of his experience has all been in the last month. One appearance as a right wingback for us, in an emergency experiment basis. I saw the EFL Trophy game against Newport at the end of August and he looked lost at sea. Does need tinkering with if that's where he's consistently being deployed now, though. "Positional familiarity" can be a headache like that. It becomes as much about a manager's tendencies as actual effectiveness.

Not sure why his suitability as a striker would have been reduced, came through our u18s as a central striker before moving out wide in the u23s, and mostly played as part of a front two in his previous loan afaik.

Cowleys are well known to be part of Eisner's long term plans and highly thought of by the family. Of course I could be left with egg on my face by the end of the year

Reeco. Thats interesting. On the official site this was the line-up posting before Saturday's game / update during the game

In the live match text they avoid his surname and call him Reeco to save space where they could use Hackett. I also acknowledge that in the official line-up before the game they dropped Fairchild. We could change his common name to be Hackett e.g. his surname remains as is but common name would be the name he was known as.....might be too late now

Hello, really enjoying my league one save so far.

Just a few minor MK Dons player/staff data tweaks:

Peter Kioso (on loan from Luton Town) has been listed as 169cm, but is 183cm in real life. See https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/peter-kioso/profil/spieler/595652

Head Coach Liam Manning's birthday is put in as 20/8/1985, however the club posted happy birthday on the 20th of October,

Lee Collier is still listed as Under 18's manager despite leaving the club on the 1st September, https://twitter.com/lchopper8/status/1433119897979084806?s=20 , believe he should be a coach at Weymouth.

Not sure if there is time to get changes in for release but can you be more specific, what is is it that you think is wrong and why  e.g. attribute x could be considered changed to y supported by evidences z. He is already a talented player but at only 18 he is still in his development phase. I suspect he will continue to develop in game during his loan
