Please post any data issues related to England's National League (Level 5) here.

As much of the data is subjective we’d ask that you respect everyone’s opinion and accept that the final decision is that of our club researchers and our heads of research.

We also request you please adhere to the following three point plan when posting in the data topics:

·        State what you think is specifically wrong with a particular piece of data.

·        State what you think the data should be.

·        State reasons/proof for your suggested corrections/improvements.

Please note that any non-data issues specific to England's National League (Level 5) should be reported in a new thread on the Bug Tracker (at that link). This would include issues such as league scheduling, league table sorting rules and match rules.

Hi

Few bits on Chesterfield;

- George Foster is no longer employed by the club and Danny Webb (coach on the game) is now Assistant Manager

- Dan Evans is no longer employed, there is a vacancy for performance analyst at the minute (I think).

The other points below are just minor data points and not sure if these would've missed the data cutoff.

- George Carline injured for around 5 months

- Saidou Khan injured for 5-6 weeks

- Jack Clarke injured for 5-6 weeks

- Jim Kellerman has returned from Tamworth on loan (has started the last few games for us).

Thanks guys

Couple for Grimsby Town.

Ben Davies and Sam Russell aren't players any more. Both are coaches only

Hi,

Grimsby researcher here. They're still registered as players, albeit don't play. Hurst has their "primary job" as on the coaching side, but will play if we are desperate (basically if the youth are playing the same day and no-one else is available due to injury/suspension).

Good evening, I’m currently a free agent on the game after being with Kings Lynn U23’s last season. It says I’m 192cm, I can confirm I am not and I am 178cm.

I wasn’t sure which forum to post this on.

Hi @alexjwalpole

I've set a height for you now. We didn't have any data there, so it was just random until now.

Random, but if someone could indulge me I would be grateful - could one of the researchers confirm what place of birth is set in the database for the below?

Reon Donker - Halifax U18s

Ethan Pye - Stockport U18s

Thanks!

We don't have a place of birth set for either of them.

I'm aware that there may be a bug where it will default to the capital city of the first nationality when we don't have anything set.
So they may currently show as being born in London.

Thought as much, thank you, @Ed Hewison. Just in case you don't know what's causing it in FM22, I thought you might be interested to know that this actually started happening on an FM21 save I started a fortnight or so ago.

I was starting saves, seeing "unknown" set and then continuing and it was changing to London. Then, even though I knew it was correct at the start, I was reloading the first autosave and what was 100% "Unknown" at the point of save was London. Initially thought it was my virus checker breaking something but I don't think so now. Assumed then it was an editor file, but obviously not now it's happening on FM22 as well. Strange one. Let me know if you need me to upload anything or log elsewhere 👍

Hoping any fix will be save game compatible.

Here Goes as this quite change to Grimsby Setup

Firstly Grimsby now got Debt 1.5 million To previous owner John Fenty who has agreed installments of  £500,000 over 3 years.  However any transfer funds He gets so club repays quicker its only valid until dept is repayed.

source as this information revealed in radio interview with new owners http://www.codalmighty.com/site/ca.php?article=8072

They planning to invest in infrastructure with there own money and plan get the club a BCORP certificate talk of Philanthropy  in the takeover which means they will cover expenditure out there own pocket.

im sure if you want to talk to Jason the new owner he would be really open to it, you would gauge how never say no to request as long its with reason.  I got refused in the beta for training facility upgrade thought !!!!! its like the board changed but attitude of previous regime of doing things on the cheap mentality was still present.  Now of course you ask to sign messi on 50 million week wages think board will be not happy and refuse.  How far can pettit and stockwood take us yes there millionaires, who knows there not going throw 50-60 million.  They have in interviews said they would look at investors in time even hand club over to new owners who believe in there vision and will look after the club properly.

Some work already been done like now Pitch has pop up water sprinklers also training ground too pitch also been worked on looks fantastic.  They built up the training ground with Gym equipment and plans to move to new training ground are currently looking sites for next 6 months.  Spectator side is now food served is much higher quality new glass railing on upper findus stand plus cleaner looking ground.

Grimsby average 5860 just lately due to such demand osmond end had be used for home last home gate against yeovil 6470 only 100 was yeovil fans typical how Grimsby gates have boomed now old board with no ambition gone.   Discussions on there board said biggest crowds since 1980s.

Chesterfield average 5145 and finally Southend despite there on field off field issues 4937.  These clubs averaging nearly double the next club.

Otherwise great game congrats to all who worked on it.

I do wonder new match engine could reap new ideas.  One is not only allow you to set pitch size but the height of the cut grass higher so lower league side might use it try level the playing field, as the ball wont zip around surface.  Equally a club might want it very short aid passing and ball roll.  The other idea is groundsman asking if you want pitch to be watered before and halftime so grass zips the ball more this leads though being mindful weather forecast.  That pitches over watered or torrential rain can become boggy slippery.  If its because watered game gets abandoned or postponed you could be fined.   The thought does pitch condition get stored on save so its the same as previous if no maintenance is done.  If not future could be very interesting how club operates.

We do not include one-month loans in the starting database. We only include standard (window-to-window) loans, or loans "until the end of the season" which are, in effect, the same thing.

So as Josh Strizovic’s initial one month loan to Harrow has now been extended by 3 months - would this qualify to be window to window as it’ll end in January?

also does this mean Aaron Blair will be at Dagenham when the full release comes out as he’s not at Cheshunt on loan but at Barking for a month?

Thanks for the feedback. I have already upgraded the training facilities and youth facilities since FM21 to FM22 so that has been covered. The gates will be increased in January if they continue at the current rate. as you know what town fans can be like... a couple of defeats and they will start staying away.

Aaron Blair was initially on loan to Cheshunt for 6 months, which will be reflected in the game at the start of the game as his move to Barking came after the deadline closure. Similar situation with Josh, both will more than likely be rectified in January update.

Hi, I know Benjani JR in real life and have a couple of changes that I know have to be made, first off he was born in Auxerre (France) when his father was playing there (This correlates to his father Benjani Mwaruwari playing in France in 2004). This means he would also be able to play for France alongside Zimbabwe and England, another small issue is that Benjani is more around the 5'9 mark and not 6'1 as much as he would like that lol

Having seen Solihull a couple of times this season, Justin Donawa should probably have a significantly higher long throw rating than the four he currently has.

For example when he came on in the game against Wigan the other day he was taking all the long throws and getting decent distance on them. At the moment he has one of the lowest ratings in the squad when it should probably be around 13-14 to put him amongst the highest in the squad.

I know he is a very good all round athlete but his jumping range of 14 seems a bit high for someone his height as he has higher rating than Ryan Boot who is a fair bit taller than him.

Don't know if this belongs in here as it doesn't relate to a player, though it is a data issue relating to the National League.

However, when you change nation rules in the data editor, the National League reverts to being played from October to June like it was last season.

On this years FM I never get jobs in VNL with a National C Badge and Regional Footballer level, I always start saves unemployed and viewed a job advert for Barnet and they wanted a manager who would be able to guide them to to a top half finish so i applied for the job only to not get a interview cause they wanted a manager who can lead them to promotion yet they appoint a manager who has no previous history in getting teams promoted, something seems abit wrong in this department of the game and hope it gets sorted out. Also teams like Chesterfield, Wrexham, Stockport County, Borehamwood and Torquay United jobs became available for me in first and second half of the season in my save, first i declared interest in the jobs and got laughed at and i applied for all of them and didn't even make the shortlist for the interview with a National C badge and Regional Level this has never been a problem on previous Fms ive played so just wondering if this is a in game bug around declaring and applying for new job positions.

None of this is a data issue. You may want to create a thread in the bug section.

I noticed in your screenshot it says the club now owns the stadium when in the beginning it's rented to Hereford by the council, has the club brought the ground in your save or anything like that?

If there are any more issues with Hereford, the National League North has it's own individual thread: https://community.sigames.com/forums/topic/557853-england-national-league-north-–-level-6-data-issues/

Yes, the club has been taken over.

But now that I think of it, last year (FM21) I think I encountered the same issue with Hereford too, but I only noticed when FM22 was nearly out.
