[Germany Bundesliga] Data Issues

Please post any data issues related to Germany's Bundesliga (Level 1) here.

As much of the data is subjective we’d ask that you respect everyone’s opinion and accept that the final decision is that of our club researchers and our heads of research.

We also request you please adhere to the following three point plan when posting in the data topics:

·        State what you think is specifically wrong with a particular piece of data.

·        State what you think the data should be.

·        State reasons/proof for your suggested corrections/improvements.

Please note that any non-data issues specific to Germany's Bundesliga (Level 1) should be reported in a new thread on the Bug Tracker (at that link). This would include issues such as league scheduling, league table sorting rules and match rules.

Anything that is to do with a B team (II team) of a Bundesliga club, should be posted in this thread (the one you're currently in).

Dortmund suggestions:

Ken Mata is included as a Dortmund player. He has been transferred to Duisburg.

Would you consider adding in Tom Rothe & Vasco Walz who are all highly rated youngsters to the data base?

thanks

All set for full release, well spotted for Mata by the way.

Some Bayern Munich staff issues that need correcting:

Prof. Dr. Holger Broich is listed as the Head Performance Analyst - should be categorized as a Fitness Coach

Dino Toppmoller is listed as a Coach - should be categorized as the Assistant Manager

Xaver Zembrod is listed as the Assistant Manager - should be categorized as a Coach

Benjamin Gluck is listed as a Performance Analyst - should be categorized as a Coach

Or the previous three should all be listed as Assistant Managers

Michael Niemeyer is listed as a Performance Analyst - should be categorized as the Head Performance Analyst

***Source: https://fcbayern.com/de/teams/profis

On a more somber note (although I haven't been able to confirm via official sources), Carsten Schünemann seems to have passed. He isn't listen on the club's official site, and the club's youth Twitter account seems to have shared the news however only listing his first name. I hope I'm incorrect and you can confirm or deny this via official sources.

Hans-Dieter Flick listed as unemployed, and not manager of Germany

Hansi Flick has been set as Gemany NT manager, but due to licensing reasons will not be there. I suppose that's why he ends up as unemployed - I need @David Siddall to answer this correctly

Thank you for these. Some are always a bit confusing

I believe Broich is the Wissenschaftsleiter and Leiter of Fitness - Actually think Head of Sports Science is even better for him. Made changes where necessary.

I have, unfortunately, set Mr. Carsten Schünemann as "NFE" - so he will not appear in the final game release.

Hi,

This is as a result of the licensing conditions we need to adhere too.

Joshua Kimmich

Why did Kimmich got so many positions in game, he plays as DM or DR in real life for many years. It's really weired to see that he has ml, aml , amr, amc or dc positions.

He definitely don't play at these position for many many years, and these positions made his attribute too weak for his actual ca 177.

And his speed is 11, maybe he is the slowest right defender in the main leagues of Europe.

Is he really that slow? For example, even 35 years old modric's speed is 12.

Kimmich is a natural DMC and DR as well as MC. Those are his three main positions. He can also play the WBR role as his mindset and the tactical approach is very offensive at times.

Yes, he also has (Iow) ratings for several other positions, but he is not good there. He is however so versatile that there may be worse alternatives - but you need to see him as DR/DMR/DMC/MC and that's fine.

Ok, that's fine.

But what's about his speed? Acc 13, Speed 11 is too slow for one of the best DR in europe.

If you ever played fm.... In my opinion, you can't find him at the top 50 DR in game with that Speed and Acc.

In real world, he can't be slower than so many DRs in Bundesliga, and also can't be slower than modric or  Thomas Muller...... Take a look at their Speed and Acc...

I understand the wording of Broich's role comes across as Head of Sports Science but he has historically been categorized as a Fitness Coach and he is often seen taking fitness sessions with players. His attributes are also not correlated to being a Sports Scientist. Not sure how else to convince you of this. Thanks for the other changes and your continued work. :)

He's not fast. I would say he's similar to eg. Goretzka, Müller, Pavard... Sabitzer is faster.  I can set his pace to 12 - but I do feel this is not his strength and why I would put him central, unless if you put a quick DC next to him. Although he makes up with his intelligence.
I always give Frank de Boer as an example who was never fast but he was rarely outpaced. (ok, centre back - but as a thought)

VfB Players:

Hiroki Ito, IV (https://www.transfermarkt.de/hiroki-ito/profil/spieler/353892)

On loan, option to buy for 500.000€

Potential as well as current skills like somehow the still as Mola. Came from the 2nd Japanese League and already played significant minutes and also started at the last game againgst Mönchengladbach

VfB Employees:

Günter Schäfer as Assistant Coach – I guess his role is somehow difficult to define as he ist he „Team Manager“ (https://www.transfermarkt.de/gunther-schafer/profil/trainer/1209). Maybe the best role for him would be the one who is coordinating the loans, as he is also responsible for that in his role as Team Manager. Would be a better fit than Assistant Coach, as he is definitely not responsible for that.

In addition, he is responsible for being a Team Manager together with Peter Reichert (https://www.vfb.de/de/vfb/profis/kader/2122/peter-reichert/steckbrief/)

Scout:

As far as I know Karl Allgöwer is not Scout at VfB Stuttgart anymore as of somewhere 2017. But there is another Scout who is working for VfB. It is Simon Bauer (https://www.transfermarkt.de/simon-bauer/profil/trainer/92344)

There is an additional person responsible for physiotherapist, which is Manuel Roth (https://www.transfermarkt.de/manuel-roth/profil/trainer/25352) as well as Matthias Hahn (https://www.vfb.de/de/vfb/profis/kader/2122/matthias-hahn/steckbrief/)

And maybe only a small hint regarding the Icons of the club. Mario Gomez retired a year ago and I would definitely descirbe him as one of the icons.

Please give me a hint if you need further sources our that kind of stuff. :)

Have set option for Ito. What would you say his strengths are? He is already quite talently rated.

Schäfer - set to loans manager
Reichert - created, set to coach

Allgöwer - yeah, we had him contracted until 30-6-2019 and now just floating around. Scouts are sometimes very difficult to figure out where they are. I have released him.
Simon Bauer added

Roth and Hahn also added

We have added/not added icons etc. based on licensing requests - so I cannot do much about Mario Gomez.

Ito:

Although he is quite tall, he is pretty fast for a central defender. Also he is quite well when it comes to passing (especially long ones). and his positional play is good. Where he really has to work on is his robustness.

Reichert:

Thanks, I dont think that this is the right position for him, but I dont see any alternative either. :)

We don't have the team manager role (similar in Holland) in FM - I usually just set them as a coach because some of them are nice to have in game - but it's not correct portrayed, no.

Hi guys,

I've noticed a couple of wrong or missing information in the database for TSG Hoffenheim. I would recommend changing the below prior to the official game release:

Staff

Marcus Mann is not with the club anymore, he is now the Director of Football at Hannover 96 https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marcus-mann/profil/trainer/47574

Peter Laudenklos is not at the club. He never was, that’s a mistake. He’s the Director of Football/Head of Youth Development at TSG 62/09 Weinheim (https://www.tsg6209weinheim.de/2019/08/05/peter-laudenklos-ist-wieder-bei-der-tsg/)

Dominik Drobisch is no longer with the club, he went to VfB Stuttgart and is Head of Administration of their 2nd Team https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dominik-drobisch/profil/trainer/36635

Jens Rasiejewski should appointed Head of Youth Development https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jens-rasiejewski/profil/trainer/19636

The U19 Coach is missing. Marc Kienle was appointed as new coach and was available in earlier versions of FM, not in FM22 yet. He switched from his function as Coordinator of Talent Management to being the U19 Coach or is having a double role https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marc-kienle/profil/trainer/6492

Bastian Huber is Hoffenheim’s chief scout, not Hans-Martin Kleitsch, Kleitsch is just a regular scout https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bastian-huber/profil/trainer/6944

Wrong Contract durations

Dennis Geiger has signed until 2023 https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dennis-geiger/profil/spieler/251309

Sargis Adamyan is contracted until 2023 https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sargis-adamyan/profil/spieler/125614

Noah König has signed until 2025 https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/noah-konig/profil/spieler/685487

Klauss is contracted until 2024 at Hoffenheim https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joao-klauss/profil/spieler/498862

Luca Philipp is under contract until 2023 https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/luca-philipp/profil/spieler/432671

Club Info

Add Julian Nagelsmann to Icons or at least to Favoured Personnel (was Hoffenheim’s most successful coach in their history) https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/julian-nagelsmann/profil/trainer/8402

Add Markus Gisdol to Favoured Personnel (he saved Hoffenheim from being relegated and is seen as their Top 3 Coach of all time next to Rangnick & Nagelsmann) https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/markus-gisdol/profil/trainer/4849

Players like Pavel Kaderabek, Vedad Ibisevic, Chinedu Obasi, Niklas Süle and Kerem Demirbay could also be considered as favoured Personnel, as they still have a good connection to the club and have been essential parts of their history/glory.

Missing Players in First Squad

Tom Bischof is missing in the game https://www.tsg-hoffenheim.de/teams/profis/team/einzelportraet/show/tom-bischof  although he is probably Hoffenheim’s biggest wonderkid and in their first squad (Bayern, Dortmund and Leipzig already are after him) – he is just 16, but other players like Moukoko, Raebiger and Sertdemir are the same age and in the game

Add positions to Player Profiles

Mijat Gacinovic should be able to play Right-Back as he did for a couple of matches throughout this and last season. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mijat-gacinovic/profil/spieler/215864

Marco John should be able to play Left-Back as he did in the majority of his matches last season. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marco-john/profil/spieler/450234

Lucas Ribeiro should be able to play DM, as he did two seasons back. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/lucas-ribeiro/profil/spieler/605893

EDIT:
Also Franko Kovacevic should be still a Hoffenheim player and on "only" on loan to Pafos until end of this season. That information is incorrect on Transfermarkt, but was communicated on Hoffenheims Youth Instagram Channel (see Screenshot). His original contract with Hoffenheim lasts until 2023.

Cool. OK, so detective man said I come and go fix issues

Actually did a few a few days ago already but I have checked all for full game release

- Can't make changes to legends, icons etc. - these are licensed situations and this is prescribed to us.

Added Bischof, and also some of the positional changes. and staff changes.

Great stuff!

We have set Zorc to "will definitely leave at end of contract" - which admit, is not a hard retirement.

Has Norbert Dickel ever done scouting? Strange to have him there if that's the case.

We also have Kehl currently as coach until 30/6/2022 (can set to director) and he then has a future transfer staying at Dortmund but becoming a Director of Football per 1/7/22 until 30/6/24. (I am not 100% sure if this actually works)

The rest is done.

Also, no, I don't think Dickel has ever scouted for BVB - he's never been listed on TransferMarkt or in Kicker as such.

I hope I'm incorrect and you can confirm or deny this via official sources.

I don't think this is accurate – Schünemann is an Athletic Trainer who joined Bayern in 2019, and is still listed on the website's U15 team page. To my knowledge it was a different Carsten who passed away, who (as far as I can tell) isn't in the FM22 database, and wasn't in FM21 either. Since the twitter post didn't say his full name I don't know whether it would be appropriate to post it in public but I can PM with further details @Reddiablo

My most sincere apologies. I search all the pages but my oversight is inexcusable. I am relieved tho. However, still condolences to the Carsten that did past. @Reddiablo Apologies again. @autohoratio Thanks for catching that.

Some Bundesliga staff issues I spotted, gonna check some other clubs in the next couple of days:

Borussia Dortmund

Sebastian Geppert is U17 Manager, so he should probably be an U19s Coach and not a First Team Coach (https://www.transfermarkt.de/sebastian-geppert/profil/trainer/33846)

RB Leipzig

Hi,

Can we look into adding the following. Have attached images as well if that helps

Ricardo Wagner from Bayern Munich  Is very highly rated and at the right age to be added.

Benjamin Ballis from Bayern Munich . Is very highly rated and at the right age to be added.

Leonardo Posadas from Hamburg. German U17 captain and also at the right age to be added

Dzenan Pejcinovic from FC Augsburg.  at the right age to be added.

Samuele Di Benedetto from VfB Stuttgart

not sure if this player is in the correct space but Emran Soglo was at chelsea. Very highly rated and was wanted by Bayern Munich

Julian Rijkhoff should be mich higher in potential. Scoring Machine at both Ajax and dortmund. https://bvbbuzz.com/2021/01/17/borussia-dortmund-set-sign-ajax-youngster-julian-rijkhoff/

All added. I have set Frank Aehlig as director, looking at his CV maybe a bit higher than a scout?
Uwe Heth probably should be an academy scout and they don't get extracted, but he has quite some history too so I have set him as a regular scout.

Thank you. Aehlig as a Director is probably more appropriate he is one of those people that seem to have worked in the background at quite a few big clubs. Like Jochen Schneider before he became Schalkes Sport Vorstand.

VfB Stuttgart:

Hierarchy:

There is adjustment needed. Didavi is an experienced player, but he is not the leader of VfB. In general I question if there ist he „one leader“ in that club, more like some playrs who are very influential. This would be Endo, Anton, Mavropanos, Mangala, Kalajdzic, Förster and Didavi.

Additional hint regarding the squad:

Schipplock is a player only for the second team of VfB, maybe you can switch that as well.

Haaland doesn't have a release clause coded into the game, when in real life he has one that kicks in at the end of the season

This is not official, but we will likely have this included with the full release - depending on what still happens with him and Dortmund in the next few days.

Will the release clause kick in in 2022 if added? Or will it just be immediately active?

I'm not sure how you mean this. Didavi had only 9 in leadership though, I can improve this a bit. If you mean squad dynamics, this is what the game/AI decides.

Meant squad dynamics. Didnt know that this is AI. Guess we have to live with it. No reason to improve his leadership. Thanks!

There are a lot of player in the BVB squad that they are not currently playing in the club. Ken Mata, Rilind Hetemi, Julius Fynn Rauch, Max Dieckerhoff or Maximilian Meier are examples.

And there are not a lot of players who have interesting potential in the U19 squad, like Tom Rothe, Vasco Walz, Rafael Lubach, Jaden Tom Korzyenietz, Akuyakoh Mengot, Marc-Niclas Dühring, Jonas Husseck...

perfect, thank you! Sorry i forgot about Iker Bravo from Bayer Leverkusen, signed from Barca who is a star at youth level and now wanted by Real madrid. http://www.thehardtackle.com/news/2021/10/21/transfer-news-iker-bravo-on-real-madrid-radar/. Potential should be much higher

What kind of potential, why? What are strengths and weaknesses?
