Any update on this?

As far as I can tell the structure is correct but the teams entering in are not the real ones as in real life this season. We are not always allowed to be totally prescriptive on the exact teams entering the first in game round so it's likely down to that but we'll review this for the next game.

But it is totally prescriptive though as you have to have a club license to play in the Scottish Cup, there are very limited opertunities for clubs to qualify now due to the number of clubs with the license.

Clubs appear in the cup first season that it is near impossible for them to be in it the second season never mind the first.

Get the Lowland and Highland league in whilst you are it it! Bigger fan bases than a lot of the league 1&2 teams plus in general there’s been a lot of publicity surrounding the Lowland league with Open Goal merger with Broomhill. Not to mention all the teams that come up from these leagues (Cove, Kelty&Edinburgh) have all went on to promotion and are progressing through the leagues towards the top.

I know the research team for Scotland will likely have this covered, but many of the tier 6/7 leagues across the country have changed structure for 22/23. In the West of Scotland setup alone, there are several new teams not in the game database. From what I can see, the following changes are needed.

Broomhill FC (61069263) - Rebranded/Renamed to Open Goal Broomhill FC. They have also moved from using the Indoorhill arena to groundshare with Clyde FC at Broadwood.

West of Scotland League is now tiered. Threave Rovers have moved out of the South of Scotland league into Division 4 of West of Scotland League. More on the league structure and team make up can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022–23_West_of_Scotland_Football_League. Similar up to date pages exist for the other regional leagues in 22/23.

Harthill Royal have moved from West of Scotland League setup to East of Scotland league. I don't have good knowledge of all regions, but in the West, the following new teams are not in FM22.

Easterhouse Academy (Division 4), based in Easterhouse, Glasgow

Eglinton FC (Division 4), based in Kilwinning, North Ayrshire

Rossvale Academy (Division 4) (a split off from Rossvale (61044686)) a bit like when the club now called Open Goal Broomhill FC and BSC Glasgow split into two teams last season. Rossvale Academy, at the time or writing, will have the same kit colours as Rossvale but it is a split and will operate as a different team. The Under 20 (academy) team split away from Rossvale last season and are now their own entity in Division 4. Rossvale Academy will be based at Huntershill, Bishopbriggs.

Thorn Athletic (Division 4), based in Johnstone at what is called Thorn Athletic Sports Academy.

West Park United (Division 4), also based at Huntershill, Bishopbriggs

There may well be new teams across the the regional tier 6/7 leagues.

Thanks

Thanks for the post, Joe. The changes have already been implemented within the database.
