Popular Post Platinum
Building a world class backroom staff team is currently too easy. There are a few reasons for this: 1. Knowing the quality of a staff member is too easy. We know the attributes and personality of every staff member in the whole world. 2. Completely changing the personnel in the backroom staff in a small amount of time has no affect on the effectiveness of the staff members (aside from their adaptability). To get around this I propose two changes: 1. Staff attribute masking. This would work just like player attribute masking does. In real life getting good staff is difficult and it's because you only have an idea of how good a potential staff member is through referrals and interviews. Staff attributes should become more known if they have been referred by a current staff member or if they have applied for a job posting (we can assume they have had a job interview with your team once they apply). 2. Staff Dynamics. This would work just like Player Dynamics. Having a good staff team is much more than just having staff with good attributes. The staff should have compatible personalities with other staff and also with the players in order to be more effective. Also staff need time to gell in with other staff members and also to understand the philosophy you play. This would add more importance to keeping a set of staff members over a long period of time and also in employing staff that have a similar playing philosophy to that of your tactics.
autohoratio
Completely agree with these suggestions. Players have attribute masking so I don't understand why staff don't.
SI Staff Michael Sant Posted December 2, 2021 SI Staff Share Posted December 2, 2021 Thanks for making these suggestions. With each of them its the case they may be declined, or after further development they could become a part of the FM series in the future.
