kingjericho
Excellent season. You're getting closer to the CL, who knows if the current generation can get the job done or you will need to wait for a new crop. Having a complete XI of youth players from a State of the Art system will be stronger.

Cheers, fingers crossed the current crop can do it, but considering how elusive the Coupe de France was for us I think it could be a while . 13 minutes ago, Dereka said: Impressive, you've really established yourself as the top team in France in the last two seasons. kingjericho
If you can, keep monitoring the attributes for corners/free kicks/set pieces for your newgens. As you can see, free kicks don't seem to be too much of a problem but corners are bad and our penalty taker situation is terrible! 1 hour ago, deltablue said: PSG! *shakes fist* It just makes the feeling when you actually beat them sweeter
Jiggins
How do you handle individual training for young players? Do you train them in broad roles such as Complete Forward and B2B Midfielder or do you train them in the roles you play with, Defensive Midfielder, Full Back, etc? As soon as they come through the intake I start training them in the role I anticipate them playing if they get to the first team. I think it helps that the roles I use are quite broad - (sweeper keeper support, full back support, BPD, def mid support, winger attack, complete forward support and advanced forward). For individual the most used is quickness as pace is absolutely necessary in all roles (average pace for DM is ok), while passing, attacking movement and defensive positioning are used on those with deficiencies there.
smp20
Hugo Pastor was kicking up a fuss when bids were rejected, so despite not really needing the money we let him go when we received a bit at what was 150% of his value. Shame as he was a good squad option, but it just opens the spot up to a youngster.

smp20
Emmanuel Vega breaks the record after coming back from his injury, doing it in style by scoring 18 goals (5 hattricks, a brace and one) in 7 league games, that's some form! smp20
2033-34 Mid-Season Review The last game before the break coincided nicely with Florent Balmont's 700th. Ligue 1 Results Complete domination so far this season, only Rennes were able to pinch any points off us. PSG caused us no trouble in Dijon, a comprehensive 3-0 victory. Balmont's 700th game was his biggest league victory. Vega kept up his league scoring form by scoring 10 games in a row, went 3 games without one, then hit his 6th league hat-trick of the season. Insane Ligue 1 Table Bar losing to us PSG have been in solid form. We need to make sure we don't blip in the 2nd half of the season and avoid defeat in Paris. Champions League Two great wins stand out - the record-breaking 12-0 over Slavia and the 6-1 demolition of Dortmund - in an impressive group stage phase. Spurs could cause us issues Player Stats We're performing on all fronts so far, Vega has 28 league goals at the halfway mark. He needs to get more than 45 goals to break the Ligue 1 record set by Mason Greenwood (PSG).

smp20
Ligue 1 A few more draws than in the first half of the season but crucially no defeats to confirm our 2nd unbeaten season! We scored a whopping 143 Ligue 1 goals! Coupe de France Our 2nd Coupe de France trophy, and we didn't even have to face PSG who went out to Nancy. Champions League It looks as though the stars were aligning this season for Dijon, but Juventus were having none of it. We were seconds away from reaching the Champions League Final only for Juve to smash home a 93rd minute away-goal-leading winner. Youth Intake This is one where the written report and the PA don't seem to add up together. # I agree with the HOYD that Saillard is an excellent prospect, let's hope the PA stars are wrong. Player Stats Plenty of rotation this season to handle all competitions and we can be very happy with the star quality and depth in the squad. The only players that didn't get over 7.00 average ratings were backups who made more sub appearances than starts. Emmanuel Vega What a goalscoring machine! Vega smashed Greenwood record (which broke a 60 year old record itself) by scoring 48 league goals in just 31 games. His incredible record of grabbing hattricks was insane, eleven hattricks in total Lilian Bouyer Bouyer is the first of our players to be described as 'elite' and is thus one of the best players in the world.

smp20
2034-35 Mid-Season Review Ligue 1 Monaco were the team to break our 54-game unbeaten record and they're having a cracking season. We're just about top as it stands. Champions League A little bit disappointing in the group stages as we finish second behind Inter, but getting through is the most important part and we'll face Chelsea in the knockouts. smp20
We're in a title run in, but it's not PSG pushing it to the wire it's Monaco! PSG did managed to knock us out in the cup on penalties, however. Excellent progress in the CL as we thump Chelsea 11-4 on aggregate and sneak past Roma to match last seasons run to the semi finals.
