Cannot believe we are going to beat Austria in the final only for it not to actually count as you need to beat a big nation to win it :(

Still can’t believe the Danes’ audacity earlier. Celebrating a win and a quarter final place like that when they lost two games in the group stage.

Can't think of many players more frustrating than Arnautovic. So talented, so selfish, so wasteful.

He's a dickhead.

I think Austria could do something here.

They will no doubt be growing in confidence atm.

Chiesa hasn't really done much for Italy tbf. One goal in well over 20 caps (16 full games worth in terms of minutes) isn't a good return.

It's not like he's 27 so he was on the same level a year or two ago.

Easily Juve's best player this season.

It's the same way people dismiss Greece and Leicester's trophies, as it doesn't count if everyone else fails miserably.

Would have been the same for England in Russia too.

to be honest, I feel most of Europe should have a go at England for not winning Euro 2020 if they don't as it's completely set up for them to do so

6 games at home potentially :D

Greece's win is actually remarkable as we beat everyone that mattered and only had one game where you could argue that Greece shouldn't have won.

Defeating hosts Portugal (top 6 contender), not losing to Spain (top 6 contender), beating holders France (top 6 contender), not losing over 90 minutes to the Czechs who were the best team of the tournament (not a main contender prior to the tournament though) but got a deserved win in extra time and then beating Portugal at home again. Not our fault that Germany and Italy left the tournament from the group stage.

The cries about "bad football" is just sour grapes :) I think mainly English speaking media makes a fuss about Greece winning. They probably used to do the same thing for Denmark's 1992 win which was "uglier".

Yet, you don't hear this about Portugal in 2016 which was the most undeserved Euro winner in history.

Always loved Platini, honorary Englishman. Or as he's now called - Michael Plates.

Anyone who wins a tournament, deserves to do so really. You have to win at least 5 or 6 games to win a Euros. You have to be the best team over 38 games to win a title. No bad team has ever won a major trophy.

Portugal were eyesores but they were effective, so were Greece. Leicester may have faced no real challenge, but they were still 10 points better than anyone else for a whole year.
