rusty217
Is it possible to get a nation to have clubs competing in continental competitions but to have no national teams and generate no players? Specifically what I want to do is to split Russia into 2 leagues. The European side, no change there, and the Asian side. I want the best clubs from the Asian side to participate in the AFC Champions League though. I figure I need a dummy "Russia" set up in Asia for that league so that the teams can compete in Asian continental competitions (while the other Russian sides stay in European competitions), but obviously I don't want 2 Russian national teams. As far as I'm aware there's no way to create new nations, so I guess I have to subsume an existing nation for this. Is there any way of deleting their national teams and player generation though so I can literally just use them as a workaround for continental qualification without impacting things? MWFC_3
Template 2020.fmf Here this will help you. It has the Commonwealth of Soviet States in Europe and Kazakhstan moved to Asia. I'm not sure which nation was moved to non-FIFA from Asia. You can do something like Siberia for Asia. But you can be able to edit the already-existing Kazakhstan in that template. Move "Template 2020.fmf" to editor data in the FM2021 file. Even though it says "2020", it still works well. Make sure to click on "load editor data" in the file button. Kazakhstan's clubs don't play in the Asian continental competitions and they still have international fixtures. Bhutan (who were made non-FIFA) don't have any fixtures (other than the SAFF Championship) and the CIS don't have any players generated (although adding leagues/clubs even if they're based elsewhere may change that?) so that's perhaps a starting point at least. Still a long way to go to figure out if what I want is even possible though
Wolf_pd
For CIS to add players, you will need clubs.
MWFC_3
Bhutan is replaced by Kazakhstan, so you could reckon trying that one out. You could just probably erase all Kazakhstan clubs and replace them with clubs in the Asian part of Russia.
rusty217
Tried replacing Hong Kong. I moved everything to do with Hong Kong out of it, and used it to create a Siberian league instead. It mostly works. The national team now only plays the odd friendly, no competitive matches, and it has no players. All of the Russian greyed out players now have Hong Kong names, but the actual generated ones are still Russian with Russian names. The only issue is the Siberian teams don't qualify for AFC competitions still. They're all set as Hong Kong (Siberia) as their nation/continental cup nation, with Russia as based nation (similar to the Welsh clubs playing in England) but they just don't qualify. The old Hong Kong Premier league teams don't qualify either. Props to the devs for coding the competition so that it can automatically adjust and deal with a nation providing no teams when it should and not just crashing the game, but it's still annoying. Oh well, this is more of a proof on concept at the moment. I don't plan to actually start the save until FM22 releases. With the AFC qualification/coefficient system being made more organised and simpler in real life now hopefully that will be reflected in the game too and all of this will be easier to get going in FM22 than it is now anyway. Can you point me to a link? I always thought the system was a bit odd so I am interested.

Here you go. https://www.the-afc.com/documents/entry-manual-for-afc-club-competitions-2021-edition Other than the east/west split it sounds a fair bit closer to the way UEFA does it than it did before.
