Both teams in terrible form.  Poland with one win in their last seven, Slovakia with one win in their last six.

And somehow Marek Hamšík is still only 33 despite being Slovakia's captain way back at the 2010 World Cup.

I think the Polish are a bit overrated tbf, I mean, they have Lewandowski, who is world class, and good players like Zielinski, Sczeszny and Milik, and that's pretty much it. Their defence is questionable, and they're not that great in midfield. They're one of those teams that  qualify with ease, usually from an easy group, but never perform in tournaments.

For personal reasons, I want Slovakia to win. But I always enjoy the chance to see great players perform at international tournaments, and there aren't too many better at this Euros than Robert Lewandowski. Poland are very lucky to have him.

Talk about ITV being so British-centric.

Surely Paulo Sousa is a bit more than just the former QPR, Swansea and Leicester manager?

"Paulo Sousa. You might remember him from the Premier League."

He has literally NEVER managed in the Premier League! Great job, Matterface.

I mean, technically that ball wouldn't have gone into the goal without Szczesny as it was bouncing clear from goal. Then again, goalies get treated a tad different in this aspect by whoever decides whose goal it is, so who knows...

It is an OG though, can't credit the striker for hitting the post

This is the Rooney one here, against Switzerland in 2004 (about 30 seconds in).

Hits the post, bounces out, hits the back of the keeper's head and goes in.  Credited to Rooney, yet if the keeper hadn't been there the ball would have ended up somewhere near the halfway line.
