Ronaldo or Bruno on freekicks?

Imagine how we feel as Portugal fans.

The stupid thing is he's actually capable of hitting perfect curled FKs, as he shown against Spain 3 years ago in the World Cup, but he keeps on trying to smash them out of the stadium instead...

What's Ronald's actual record from free kicks like? He's obviously hit a couple of brilliant ones but most of them are woeful :D

During the last season he had a streak of 1 shot on target in 30+ free kicks. :D

I don't think he scored in like 100+.

It had to happen once, just enough to fool everyone. :D

My favorite scenes were his FKs in the wall, then the camera switches to Dybala and Pjanić with disappointed looks on their faces.

I'd love to know if at any point anyone has said to him "how about I take this next one seeing as you're a bit ***** at them?" I mean, probably not seeing as you don't really want to get into an argument with one of the best there's ever been, but still, his record is awful!

Bale managed to get him off this one

That's the big thing for me - with the technique he normally uses, if it goes wrong it just flies miles over the bar.  There's no chance of the keeper spilling a shot, or it getting a deflection of the wall or anything.  So not only does he have a very low conversion rate, but your missing all the other possibilities to gain an advantage from it too.

For me its more the wasted areas on the pitch he takes them from, like he'll try smashing one in from out wide when someone could just be putting in a cross

Ronaldo was great at freekick about a decade ago. Since than it's been going straight downhill for him in that department. But he'll still get to take them, as he's the biggest star and can do more or less what he wants.

I’m pretty sure Kane will be on them. Unless Trippier is starting.

Is Trippier even a free kick specialist? In terms of wide positions yeah, and obviously he scored THAT goal in the World Cup, but from close range I’m not sure he’s even regularly taking for Atlético (yet to score for them either way).

He’s no JWP is he :onmehead: Just thinking now I can’t think of many good takers in the squad.
