Some great signings there! What are your dreams for the new season? Is top 4 the ceiling or can you win it all?

Top 6 is definitely on. We are predicted to end 9th, as you'd expect the big 6 are still much better than us but I do feel we can push for the top 4 if we have a really good season.

An OK start, bar that last game we have been really good defensively but other than the 1st leg of the Europa Conference playoff we have struggled for goals which to be honest is surprising.

Sheffield United have had a storming start to the season!

We've also had the Europa Conference group stage draw

I'm fully expecting to win the group.

Another decent month, 2 wins and a defeat to Man City where we played pretty well. We also won our opening 2 group games in the Europa Conference, unfortunately though we played pretty poorly against Man U in the League Cup and crashed out in the 3rd round.

What a great month! Defensively we are so solid. It looked a really tough month on the face of it but we have managed some big results against some of the top teams in the league.

Solid again, what I'd like to start seeing is us scoring more goals in the league games. So far we have scored 15 goals in 14 games, that is nearly as many as we scored in one Europa Conference game!

Still we are so solid at the back, only 10 conceded and another decent month keeps us in the top 6

I said in the last update we were short of goals, well this was the month that changed! I made a slight attacking change to the tactic and it worked a treat! 6 league games, 11 points, some fab wins but also some dodgy slip ups!

7ffd6bc290ab7721c88ae87741c2f044.png

At one point we were 2nd, as the year comes to a close we sit in 6th but it is quite tight above us.

There has also been the youth intake preview and it looks good!

"Optimistic"!! Very nice!

Expect many transfers in the Winter window especially in midfield!

2032/33 Season - January

Before I go through results I have signed a few players! With all the sales in the Summer we still had around £60m to spend!

Jordan Hope - Attacking Midfield - £19m from Arsenal

Ok I cocked up, I signed this lad, he looks great, but because he's been out on loan already and therefore played for 2 clubs he cannot play for the rest of the season. One for next season!

2e8e5efb3cb8bebb312c3f953556af98.png

Nicolas Brault - Central Midfield - £20m from Hannover

The one position we seem to have struggled in is in midfield, this lad should add some good competition

e4753226b9e7fa67e703979dfaef53a7.png

Igor Tarasov - Central Defence - £18.25m from Zorya

Ray Sargeant got recalled to Chelsea so I need a decent CB to come in. This lad is quality and only 22.

891b2f1abe4e59372771a673ffe49962.png

Nicky Page - Right Back - £1.8m from West Brom

One for the future, he will go out on loan for the rest of the season.

Now to the results..

25694df933c80f66e6882f8790ff97f1.png

It did not start well! Knocked out of the FA Cup to Arsenal then an absolute kick-in by Cardiff, after that we settled down getting another 8 points from the next 4 games.

There has also been the 2nd Knockout Round draw for the Europa Conference and we will face Dinamo Kiev.

A fantastic month with some really good wins. We're also into the Quarters of the Europa Conference where we have a tough tie against Napoli.

Well it looks like 6th is the minimum we are going to end this season. But can we end higher?! Bring it on!

The youth intake has also happened, the preview was "optimistic" and we have one player who look sensational!

Another good month, we absolutely hammered Napoli which was a massive shock! We do however have a tough task to get through the semi final after a home draw to Gladbach.

In the Premier League we've done OK again although I would've expected us to beat Norwich.

2032/33 Season - May/End of Season Review

bec0259b7cb56621500d1d873805235f.png

Well that was not the end I was expecting or hoping! Shocking!

146efb4420c3d12e81a10f7b023a45a2.png

We end the season in 6th which was where I thought we would end although I really felt we had a shot at the top 4. Frustrated! The worst thing is I don't even think 6th is going to qualify us for Europe next season!

I'm so annoyed I don't want to say much but here are the key men, awards, etc.

Player of the season goes to Winger Zeballos, he was amazing!

958f993020d13c580b84d4d1c72da8f4.png

Young player of the season, for the 2nd season in a row goes to Left Winger Kevin Brown

279ffc210fba98e6b6a83cbc096e2fef.png

Yuri Alberto once again ends as the clubs top scorer with 28 but half of those goals came in the Europa Conference 0ff179dd30e9c0dab5df8af5356df200.png

So a really annoying end to the season, next season we have to improve, we need that top 4! Unfortunately we have hardly any money to spend, we are over wage budget and £20m in the red. And to add to that the board have given us no money to spend!

6b371062134518c163073e56b9fb4d86.png

I do have a couple of players already coming in, a new Striker and a new midfielder but we clearly need to somehow improve the team, maybe I'll have to sell one of my big players to give me some money to spend.

2033/34 Season - July Transfers

Well there isn't much to say so far! We had nothing to spend and frankly none of our players are wanted by any other clubs and if they are they're bidding stupid fees for them!!! I don't need money that desperately.

So far the only outs have been a raft of youth players who look terrible, are rated awfully but Championship clubs seem to love them!

Now for the in's, there are 3, all of them I had planned before last season ended. With no money and no wages to spend this is all I can currently do.

Boris Baskera - Central Defender - £52k from Mlada Boleslav

One for the future and he will go out on loan this season.

ff24cdd926ad0c3fcfd6928baf71e9aa.png

Johan Nilsson - Central/Attacking Midfield - £3.3m from Gotenborg

This guy looks amazing! Will go straight into the first team and may even start in central midfield.

be2ae09334ca192e4d526bccf7d672f8.png

Eltinho - Striker/Right Wing - £15.75m from Corinthians

What a find! This guy looks truly unbelievable, my long term replacement for Yuri Alberto and he knows it and he is now complaining I'm looking to replace him. He can also play RW just as good. I am so excited for this lad!

46fa298217f56cb5af928a816463242a.png

Yeah so not much going on so far, I am trying to sell a couple of my higher priced players who are on big wages but so far, nothing!

2030/31 Season - End of Season Round-up

I really didn't expect this so quickly. 5 seasons at Braga and my time is now up. We've done what we set out to do and now I can move on to pastures new.

But let's take a quick look back at who were my key men in what turned out to be a treble winning season!

Attacking Midfield Palkovich wins the Clubs Player of the Year. A massive signing at £42.5m last season to replace Caputo but he proved to be even better. 17 goals and 13 assists in 40 apps. Sensational!

f1369d9e7fd67c978ede202b913b89e2.png

Signing of the Season goes to Goalkeeper Abreu, £45m was another huge fee but his save in the Champions League final showed you that he was worth every penny. In 53 games he only conceded 29 goals and kept 31 clean sheets. This lad is destined for the top and this season gained his first Portuguese National Team callup and cap.

c6a825751fdb177d3c5592218c808a8e.png

It was another great season in front of goal for Striker Baiardino. 25 in 29 in the league and 32 overall in the season. This lad gets better and better!

eb5a6115b41bc228461bf695068cd7db.png

Most assists goes to Allmers. He spent nearly all season filling in on either the left or right wing and with numerous injuries he played 41 times, he ends with 9 goals and 17 assists.

98e459ef673078e266f5a87acb2744e2.png

And here for your perusal is the whole Champions League winning squad.

648563fb7380fca1b0600924f18b7af5.png

Absolutely brilliant!

I really didn't expect this to end so early!

So Braga have won the Champions League and are no longer "Nearly Men", the second club I've managed to win the ultimate prize with and now I get to move on!

There was also a new European winner in the Europa League. Arsenal have eventually won their first European Trophy, smashing Nantes 4-0 in the final. This means they also get removed off the "Nearly Men" list but seeing as this was Nantes first European Final they now get added to the list.

So another season down and I will be looking for a new job. I have a few nations added but am open to any option off the "Nearly Men" list.

428f6028bbe18913b5740ddf6797dabc.png

I'd fancy either Hungary or Serbia next - build up that knowledge of amazing newgens that these countries produce and take them with you on further journeys..

It's Jan 1st. Still have no money to spend, trying to ship out a few of my more expensive players to no avail. Until then nothing will be happening unless a miracle player comes up for little to no money

2033/34 Season - January

I've managed to do some transfer business! 3 in's and a lot of out's! Firstly the men who have left...

eefbec9df05cd2f8a4d0911bd10d78d7.png

I've basically sold a load of my reserve and youth players who really aren't good enough, the only main squad players to go are back-up keeper Partl and back-up left winger Escribano, the likes of Begic and King were brought in a couple of seasons ago and just haven't done it for me. Around £67m of sales is really good, especially to help out the bank balance.

Now for the in's

Ivan Cervera - Goalkeeper - £2.6m from Chelsea

A decent looking back up keeper for such a cheap fee.

a60ec3e0b748a3f386abf5b22bfaff4e.png

Clodoaldo - Striker/Right Wing - Free Transfer

When this lad popped up for nothing I had to bring him in. Yuri Alberto has a serious season ending injury as well which is one of the main reasons why I needed him.

e76ffea65abf04e83b0c6096b4257dc0.png

Gustavo Lucas - Central Defender - £13.25m from Sao Paulo

I love these crazy low release clauses. I beat Man Utd to his signature, a cracking looking defender.

a290871e4d095ab90a6a663e01a73e6e.png

So 2 really good in's, but we have got to keep going on the pitch, unfortunately it's been a tough month!

5a1f6ca3327fb463eaaed3cf27b18ddb.png

Boy it's been hard, suspensions, injuries, fitness issues and poor results. 3 defeats out of 5 in the league but we have managed to progress to the FA Cup 5th Round.

170b4ed5ad9501c78ebeb7736c4051c6.png

2033/34 Season - May/End of Season Review

73c1c9d77afb87e6e9d0802910aeb7f1.png

Well we didn't win both which I fully expected we needed to do. Luckily for us Liverpool lost their penultimate game and we went into the final game knowing we had to better Liverpools result or win by more goals. So did we do it?

8051726bd4ab5b27a3c40e4cd057d9c4.png

WE DID! Liverpool drew at home to Palace meaning we snuck in and claimed 4th spot! CHAMPIONS LEAGUE NEXT SEASON! Very much needed!

But there's still one final game and that's the FA Cup final against Liverpool....

965034f1aee92577e8a5de6b5f74cea8.png

Unfortunately Liverpool were just too good on the day, a disappointing end to the season but it's not domestic trophies that dictate this challenge, it's qualifying for, and winning, the Champions League!

WHAT A SEASON!

Now to who stood out and there is only one place to start!!!

Oh Eltinho!!! What a first season he's had! He ended with 35 goals in 33 Premier League starts, 46 goals in 41 starts overall, he ends as the clubs player of the year and he won all the awards in the Premier league end of season awards, PFA Player and Young Player of the Year, Writers Player of the Year and he wins the golden boot!!! And all for £15.75m!!! Stunning!

174c5d6621f0613c24b78427c6b6b2eb.png

Really and truly if it wasn't for him we would've been nowhere near the top 4 this season. No other player came anywhere near him, below is the whole squad..

097867611ff096afe3200feba22536d2.png

As you can see only 5 players broke the 7+ average rating, Eltinho was 0.5 more than anyone else, only him and LW Kevin Brown broke double figures in goals as well. If we lose him we are f*cked!

Anyway, he won't be going anywhere as I've tied him into a new 5 year contract.

So now I look to next season and we are into the Champions League, the board have clearly recognised my achievement and have given me a rather large amount of money to spend.

c4589bf532c52a583aa99388b488f7f9.png

£71m!!! We were given £0 last season. I really want to concentrate on a couple of areas and that's a new RB and a new CM. With that amount of money I can bring in a couple of seriously good players.

What a season!

448e603c934abb5bb51d86488a4c213b.png

I am now going to be away for a week so there won't be any updates until next Weds, take care.

2034/35 Season - Pre-Season Transfers

Welcome back! Well I've had a nice 5 or 6 days off and it's time to get back into the swing of FM again!

A new season is starting at Leeds and they are back in the Champions League! The squad, in my opinion, is really good and I feel I really only need to improve one of two positions whilst keeping the key men here to push ourselves even higher up the league.

Three players come in so let's welcome them!

Mislav Vujcic - Central Midfield - £40.5m from RB Salzburg

What a signing! I had this deal wrapped up before the last season was over. This guy looks sensational!

2b0bbf6bf76444b8a74150445d4b2f8a.png

Wencho Korstam - Right Back - £40m from Ajax

This was the one position I needed to improve, I sold Alan Gallagher and this left me with no first choice RB. This lad looks brilliant!

42033fededa6b1d02dbc7ca26a6a7fab.png

Curtis Jones - Attacking Midfield - Free from PSG

Another midfielder addition, he adds experience and good depth to the squad.

82694750739178f760738766b739ee60.png

And that's it. I'm really pleased with the dealings I've done, the squad now looks like this...

bf0d52a429775359bcc1cf46be2f8d0e.pngThe PA/CA ratings do look low but they been dragged down because Vujcic and Eltinho are rated so high. This squad is now more than set for another crack at getting into the top 4, maybe better?!
