ThomasHK1979 78
Hi Guys I play a standard 4231 narrow width and positive mentality with Dortmund. So do you guys have any advice/guides when especially my wingers doesn’t perform. I know the problem for IF/IW in general is that there is not enough space in a 4231 formation. Especially when meeting teams with 3 CBs. So what do you normally do when your wingers perform below 6.70 in a match? Dribble less?, Roam for position?, stay wider etc. etc. ? I really struggle in finding solutions when this happen.
HUNT3R 2,591
There are tactical guides that you can find within the pinned thread at the top of the forum. If you need tactical advice, it's best to post your tactic and the specific issues you have. It's impossible to give you a blanket answer here as it will depend on what is wrong / what the issue is. Finding solutions becomes easier if you can find the problem first, otherwise you're blindly making changes without knowing whether it'll work or not. Finding the problem, imo, is the hardest part. Analyse the player's stats to see if there are any issues. Things like not being involved much, poor passing/tackling %, no key passes etc. If something stands out, you can then watch some match footage to see why the stat is what it is. Poor passing options or instructions preventing the behaviour you want, etc. In the case of a 'winger', they really need to contribute to the attack in some way. Key passes, assists or goals will help their rating.
skyline72 123
Assuming that your tactic is balanced, is your player consistent enough for him to perform week in week out, match after match?
Hilly1979 92
Why don’t you check your other 2/3 threads you have started in the last few weeks asking virtually the same thing........ but chosen to ignore the advice given....
Experienced Defender 2,101
Please stop creating one thread after another on the same topic again and again. Instead, use the last thread which you started just a day or two ago. This one is now locked, as will be every one you potentially start asking essentially the same question.
