July 2020

After the English FA banned all clubs ran by a certain ex FMS mod called Terk (after all he is a Liverpool fan so he will be dodgy ) he decided to go back to his homeland and try his luck there. The ban was due to some slightly dodgy payments to a FA board member. However the Scottish FA thought hey ho we could do with some money and accepted it, in return Terk's new club FMS Wanderers would join the Scottish League at League Two level. With little time to prepare he called upon some of his old FMS Members.

The clubs new manager will be the author of this tale, Mark Wilson.

The ground is known as The Deadbeat Arena in Inverness

Affo - It was a mixture. got to keep you keepers fresh

October 17th:

Stranraer (a) Scottish League 2 (1/27)

So we started our first competitive game on the 13th minute BenArsenal ran through the defence and fired past the keeper but the ball went just wide of the post. Twelve minutes later we had another chance with a long range effort from Mandy but the ball rattled against the crossbar. We were controlling the game and on the 43rd minute Salkster stung the keepers hands.

The second half was ten minutes old when Stranraer tested Celtic with a fine effort which he tipped round the post. On the hour we had our next of the game as Neilhoskins jinked into the area and fired low past the upright. On the 73rd minute we were reduced to ten men as Mandy picked up a second yellow card and this was followed by a red. Five minutes later we were reduced to nine men as Mark Wilson also picked up a second yellow card and this was followed by a red card. With eight minutes remaining in the game we had yet another chance as Bagpuss curled the ball into the area but Salkster headed wide of the post. Deep into injury time we finally got the winner we deserved as Salkster jinked through the defence and fired under the onrushing keeper to give us a win on our debut

October 24th:

Cowdenbeath (a) (2/27)

We started the better and on the 15th minute we grabbed the lead as Salkster ran through the defence and fired with pace under the Cowdenbeath keeper. Ten minutes later we had another chance with Salkster again getting through the defence but the keeper this time saved well. We were all over the home side and just before the break we had another chance to score with Sherm crossing into the area but BenArsenal headed just wide of the post.

The second half though was a different story as six minutes into the half G.Taylor beat my defence and fired past Celtic. On the 64th minute they had another chance with a long range effort which was diverted wide by CFuller. Five minutes later though Cowdenbeath grabbed a second goal as D.Cox ran through the defence with real ease and fired under Celtic who stood no chance to save. We weren't getting near the ball and on the 79th minute they had another chance as my defence fell asleep but luckily for us Celtic saved well to deny them

We were looking good for the lead and on the 34th minute we had the chance to grab another goal with a long range effort from from BenArsenal which rattled the upright.

The second half was much the same as we piled on the pressure and on the hour mark we had yet another chance to score with Sherm heading just wide of the post from a Hockeybhoy cross. Albion Rovers weren't really a threat at all but on the 79th minute they had their only shot with a curling effort which had Affo at full stretch to save.

Not the start to the game I wanted as J.Quitongo jinked the defence with ease and fired with power past Affo who was helpless to save the ball. On the 75th minute it was Drogba's turn to come close with a curling effort which was tipped round the post by the Queen's Park keeper. On the stroke of half time we grabbed the second goal of the game with WLKRAS curling a free-kick from twenty yards past the keeper after Drogba was brought down on the way to goal.

The second half was much the same as we piled on the pressure and on the 66th minute we added a third goal with Drogba running onto a Sherm through-ball to fire under the onrushing keeper. Twelve minutes later we had another chance as Drogba hit the ball straight into the keepers arms when it was easier to score. Annan might aswell not bothered turning up they were that inept

November 28th:

Stirling (a) (6/27)

Ten minutes into the game we were a goal down after D.Bikey made a mockery of our defence and fired with pace under Tenthreeleader who should have done better. Eight minutes later they had another chance with a long range effort which sailed over the crossbar. We were being outplayed by the Stirling side and on the 37th minute a great save by Tenthreeleader denied them a second goal.

The second half was alittle better as we actually started to play and on the hour mark we had our first real effort of the game as Salkster beat the offside trap but not the Stirling keeper. On the 72nd minute Stirling had their next effort with a well worked team move which was stopped with a thunderous challenge by EvilDave. However with five minutes remaining a poor challenge by Mark Wilson saw Stirling awarded a penalty which A.Ryan wasted no time in despatching past Tenthreeleader. Not a great day at the office

Just after the half hour we had our next chance with WLKRAS crossing into the area but Drogba failed to connect to the cross.

The second half was a slow starter with neither our side or the Elgin side managing to string any sort of passes together. However with seven minutes remaining in the game we retook the lead as BenArsenal headed a Mandy cross past the keeper. With nine minutes remaining in the half BenArsenal grabbed a fourth goal with a brave header from a Mark Wilson cross.

The second half was barely a minute old when old when we conceded a silly goal as a poor clearance by Tenthreeleader was intercepted and J.Victoria fired into an empty net. On the 49th minute they pulled another goal back as J.Victoria made a mockery of the defence and curled the ball past the outstretched arms of Tenthreeleader. We responded well though as we upped the gears and started to control the second half like we did the first but without getting past the Stranraer defence which had decided to actually defend unlike the first half. We played alittle better in this game compared to the last and on the 12th minute we had our first effort as Salkster rattled the upright from outside the area. Ten minutes later we had another chance as Drogba played a one two with Salkster but the final effort was pretty damn poor and went out for a throw in. Just after the half hour we broke the deadlock as Mark Wilson ran onto a Bagpuss through-ball to fire in under the Cowdenbeath keeper

The second half though was a different story as Cowdenbeath piled on the pressure and on the 56th minute a great challenge by Dalbeider saw an attack thwarted. Ten minutes later they had another chance but this time Affo saved well to deny them.
