Ivory Coast continue to dominate in their World Cup Qualifying group with 2 more victories.

I topped my Qualifying group with Ivory Coast and now have to play Tunisia in the 3rd Round.

I have now risen up the World Rankings to 34th. Hopefully this will help me convince players to switch Nations like Jonathan Bamba etc.

2 Players Convinced To Play For Ivory Coast

I am very excited to have convinced French player Angelo Fulgini to switch to play for Ivory Coast. I know of Fulgini as he was awesome for me in my FC Metz save on FM2020. He is very good with assists.

I also managed to convince Yaya Bayo to play for Ivory Coast. He isn't very good at the moment but has decent potential. I will cap him just to stop him playing for his other International option in Belgium.

Congrats on the WC qualification. Dubious if a trip to Qatar is a reward for anyone, but enjoy the experience. Cape Town Spurs used to be Ajax Cape Town until late 2020 when they were dropped from the Ajax group. Ivory Coast are better than South Africa internationally, so although it would be a cracking place to live, I agree it was a good move to reject them.

Yeah I just hope I have a good showing with Ivory Coast in the World Cup.

Thanks for the congrats.

I didn't realize that Cape Town Spurs were Ajax Cape Town. Maybe Tottenham should partner up with Cape Town now lol.

There used to be another SA team called Spurs when I first went to East Africa to live, the only footie magazine I could read there was called Kick Off and it was all about the SA Premier League. The league was rubbish and I cannot remember the full name of the other Spurs team. The sports network across Africa had Premier League pundits like ex-Tottenham player Gary Mabbutt back then but it wasn't because of a club connected to Tottenham (and Gary Bailey, ex-Man U keeper was another pundit).

You are so knowledgable on footy in general but especially African football. You should do a podcast or something.

Thanks, but I'm not really knowledgeable about it these days. Maybe back in the day a little bit more so. I do miss all the domestic leagues that I used to see on TV that side (and the sunshine).

Algeria will be tough indeed, the North African teams are usually strong defensively and well organised.

Yeah I want to change that with Ivory Coast and become the top African nation and maybe World Cup winner as well.

Another record broken

I am currently top of the league after 12 league games played. Only by 1 point but a good start to the season.

My 2 best players have been David Koffi with 18 goals in 16 games. Annoyingly he wants too much to sign a new contract so he will probably go once his contract expires but I am used to the process now.

My other best player has been Datro Fofana who has got 10 goals so far for the season.

Nice to see Datro doing well, going smoothly in the league so far

Yeah you jinxed me cos the next game I drew 4-4 after winning 4-1 at half time and now I am 2nd lol.

My bad news gets worse as top scorer David Koffi leaves for £20k with no future fee clause annoyingly.

An Awesome ACON Victory For Ivory Coast

Ivory Coast were losing 2-1 to Algeria until the last 7 minutes and then Ivory Coast score 2 goals to win the game from behind and @Jogo Bonito look who scored the winning goal at the end.

Moving up the rankings nicely as well.

The ACON Dream Is Over For Now

c25c81de20feb41c02ad56b287671b28.jpg

I lost to a very good Morocco team 3-0. Ivory Coast just didn't turn up.

But it was still a great experience for the team.

Where does that leave us for the future ?

Well looking at the squad I have with Ivory Coast there are a few players like 33 year old Sylvian Gbohouo, 31 year old Brice Dje Djedje, 31 year old Willy Boly, 30 year old Simon Dell and 30 year old Wonlo Coulibaly who probably wont be around for the next ACON tournement so I need to find players good enough to replace them in the next few years.

fff275badbed5f5ea31273f1ab9c72aa.png

Looking at the future I have 19 year old Brahima Outtara who I want to build my Ivory Coast team around, I also have 21 year old Hamed Junior Traore, 24 year old goal machine Christian Kouame, and 24 year old Ibrahim Sangare being the youngest players in the first team squad who have a few more tournements with us.

56226b32e7f913fb91a3cfd07c6d3d23.png

I also have players like Parfait Guiagon and Jean N'Guessan who plays for my RC Abidjan team and looks very good. I probably wont be able to keep him at RC Abidjan for long but I think he will go onto bigger things like Brahima Outtara did.

A very good youth intake especially in defensive positions which I needed.

Here are some of the top prospects

Unlucky in the AFCON final, but a very good effort. Great win over ASEC.

By the way, do you automatically become manager of the Ivory Coast 'CHAN' team too? It's an international tournament for African nations but they can only field players from the domestic league - e.g. If in it, the Ivory Coast squad is from clubs like yours, ASEC etc. It looks like Ivory Coast were not in the 2021 version IRL, but I wonder if you will be the manager next time it is held (this is in addition to AFCON of course)

I just checked and I don't think I do but I will let you know if that changes.

I just got my ACON Qualifying group and I got Cameroon, Mauritania and Niger in my group. I should qualify from that group

RC Abidjan Season 2 Review

I managed to win the League and Cup double in my 2nd season in charge. The team really clicked this year with the star performers being on loan player Datro Fofana, Armand Dagrou, Morlaye Sylla, Jean N'Guessan and Cherif Bayo.

Brahima Outtara End Of Season 2

7576854533385f52eddc3ef68a136e89.jpg

He has had a decent season with Le Havre leading them to a 15th place position.

I am hoping he gets better and gets a summer move as I am looking forward to the 40% profit. He is currently valued at £5.25m so even if he was sold for say £6m I would get 40% of that which is £2.4m and that is a hell of a lot of money for an Ivory Coast club.

It could keep me financially stable for many years.

Congrats on 'Le Double' and nice to see Datro still doing well. If Brahima gets sold and earns you that kind of money, there will be many years of success.

Yeah unfortunately Datro's club wont let me have him back on loan but if I do get money from Brahima I will sign Datro with the money I get from that clause.

I am checking Outtara's profile every week to see if any clubs are going for him lol.
