Editing original teams or creating new ones for custom national league?

Hi everyone, I'm creating a custom league+cup system for several nations, for which I will have to modify the nation rules, replacing the original league system of those countries.

But I am wondering whether I should create brand new teams to add to my custom system, or it is better that I rename and edit the teams that already exist.
Mainly, I'm not sure yet which could be the problems that could cause to create new teams and simply leave the real teams forgotten in an extint competition or something. Any recommendation?

I'm also extending the question for the competitions: do I create a new "First Division" and "National Cup" for my nations, or just edit the ones that already exist?

As you can see, I would rather create a brand new nation from scratch, but that's not possible hehe.

You can edit the ones already there. If you change the amount of teams assigned to the competition, that will allow you to have the different competition format.

Unless you start moving teams between nations you can use the teams already in the nations. Just know that the status quo in the game will remain unless you edit those teams.

Thanks for the answer.

And do you know, if I create a team from scratch and assign a reputation: will the game automatically create players of the corresponding level when creating a new game with that team in an active league (assuming I use the "create players for playable teams" option).

The same question but for existing teams whose players I manually remove in the editor: will the game assign new player of the appropiate level? Thanks!

Yes but i have bad experience with that option. Maybe its related to my nation but im not sure about that.

Anyway game should generate better players for that reputation.  If you dont care about that - you can use that option.

Thats why i decided to create fictional players and assign them to the clubs.

Thank you very much!

Will have to test to make sure it's not too chaotic, I hope a new team of reputation 8000 is considerably better than one fo reputation 6000, for example.

I had smaller teams in my tests - from 500 to 2000 reputation but difference between them was avful.  In some cases almost same quality players were generated.
