Flohrinho
So I had a pretty fun save game with Dortmund running. My first season I beat RB Leipzig to the title but got pretty much schooled in the CL by the big boys and knocked out in the first round by Manchester City with a 1-2 and 1-3 defeat. I know losing against City is somewhat expected, but I felt we were pretty much without a chance throughout the whole tie which was a big disappointment for me in an otherwise great season. Now I went into my second season, strengthening the squad a bit in areas where I wanted to improve, and I got a really brutal CL group with Real Madrid, AC Milan and Benfica. Which meant after last season I was afraid to go out in the group stage already. In the first two games I managed a scrappy 2-1 at home vs Benfica and managed a last second 1-1 draw at the San Siro until the dreaded game against the big dogs Real Madrid came around and all that without my star player Haaland who had picked up a 3-month injury, so I wasn't hoping for much but a lucky draw. My boys played their heart out though and got a sensational 6-2 win with a hat-trick from Reus and a brace from Reyna. I was over the moon with the result, the first time I beat one of the European elite clubs and in this fashion? Incredible. So after the game I went into the analysis and wanted to look at one of the goals we scored and bam the game crashed. Shock, horror, nooooo. I was so frustrated that my first game crash in like ages had come after such a result. The next day I got back to the game and replay the game against Madrid a 2-1 win. I probably had been happy with that if this had been the result I got first time playing this match but having the 6-2 still fresh in memory I wasn't, so I reloaded the game, a 1-1, I reloaded the game, a 2-2, I reloaded the game a and reloaded and reloaded. I want my 6-2 back got damn it!!! After a dozen reloads I got a 4-1 win where all 4 of my shots on target pretty much went in, and I decided to settle for this. Went on another two games in the league, but I felt empty, there was no joy anymore in this game at all, it all feels fake now, the entire save, and I'm on the verge of just deleting it. The crash was annoying, but I feel what really destroyed it for me where all the reloads, unfortunately. I just can't get into the game anymore despite being so invested into it before. So what do I do now? Abandon the game? Start a new save, with another team and let the Dortmund save rest for a while or force myself to get on with it in hopes that the enjoyment is coming back? Junkhead
Set the game to autosave after matches is my first piece of advice. Secondly, it's worth remembering that the crash wasn't your fault. It's a game, these things happen. There's nothing you can do about it. A 4-1 win is still a great result - I would take it and move on. Good luck!
Sharkn20
It would kill my inmersion completely if I start save scumming to get a result I want. I have save after games ticked so if a crash happens, it doesn't affect my run.

I know exactly how you feel. I managed 10+ teams (my style of playing FM). I have champions league qualification games where like 5 teams are playing on 1 match day, setup tactics, strategies, finished those matches with good results....then the game crashed. I had to play those 5 games again but with not the same result, even with same result, feeling not the same.

Should have taken the first result after reloading the game and moved on, would probably have been better than what I did afterwards. Whelp going to start a new save with Sevilla and play that for a while, maybe I'll get back to the Dortmund save in a couple of weeks.

D'oh.
