Keep on improving

Hope another season in the Champs League boosts our rep to continental.

I am struggling to find players to improve the team.  I missed out on two targets to ther clubs and another class player I could attempt to get but I'm not spending £45mil on one player.  Looks like we're off to South America... again..

Oh yes.  Pep was sacked after he lost in the Champs League final to Barcelona 1 - 0 and they offered me an interview.  No thanks.

Been a strange pre-season.  Gomez(RB), Ortiz and Palomeque have been away for most of it.  Playing in the Copa America and then the Olympics but it shows what sort of quality we have here now.

I got offered more jobs

Not for me though.

And nice to see we're bringing money in now.

Our facilities are getting there.  Just Youth that needs work.

I've changed a bit of the backroom staff

We're have the best coaching team in England.  It seems I should actually recruit some more medical staff as I have room.  I look around for better recruitment analysts/scouts and I have space sat there when I can bring in better.

Transfers aren't finished but we're about to go into our first game.

Pre-season was just left for my new Assistant to let players that are here get fit.

Clarke has been here for an age and I love him for everything that he's done.  He just isn't good enough anywhere and wasn't even able to make the bench.

Gelhardt just didnt improve and isn't needed, he was in his last year of contract hence the low price.

Rodulfo didn't work in my MC.

West Ham bid for Skipp and I accepted, wasn't listed but he's a mistake waiting to happen in my eyes and I'm happy he's gone.

Ward wasn't good enough to be #2.

Nildo just wasn't needed anymore sadly.

We know Sadler, he spent 4 years on loan here but he's our player now.  He's made a great partnership with Palomeque so I'm glad he's back.

Trained purely at B2B, will start there.  Potential!  Looks good for an 18 yo.

Okay he's more of an AP than a DLP but he's better than anything I had, steal for that price.

English LB, Gomez being retrained at CB and Cartagena is still here, he isn't performing to the level he should so if he doesn't, Owusu will play.

Right sided version of Ashford, cheap backup. I've been tracking him since he was 18 and City would never sell, he was out of contract and I paid the compensation.

I think I need another CM with Skipp.  We'll see.  I have Cottrell and Ortiz behind Marcos and Alvarino and Aertseen can play there so maybe not.  Experience would be what I'm looking for since we still have money to play with.

Current team:

The two key players:

The Colombian striker getting alot of love at the moment who's turned into a star for his country and could be top goalscorer this year they reckon.

If I'd of bought Rharib one week earlier he could of potentially been trained at club, either way he's amazing and I'll be shocked if a bigger club doesn't come in for him at some point.

Hoping we can start with getting revenge on Wolves.  There's a good chance we can get 12 points from these opening games.

Rharib sets up Palomeque and it's 1 - 0.  Rharib sets up Palomeque again and we beat our bogey team 2 - 0 to start the season

Rharib sets up Palomeque again and we take home a 1 - 0 win against West Ham.

Phillips puts Newcastle up after a long ball over because for some stupid reason Godfrey is playing him onside.  Rharib equalised just a minute later.  33 minutes in Newcastle went down to 10 and it was GG.  Palomeque put us 2 up, Rharib 3 and Leo 4.  Leo and Rharib were quality.

Rharib had a small knock for the Soton game and it showed, we lacked quality but we should have won.  Layton Stewart on as a sub missed an absolute sitter.  I even shouted "How did you miss that!?".  Should have been a full green month.

Four of us have won 3 and drawn 1.

He's class and then I get this insulting bid.

Yeah bid 102 million or he's not going anywhere

Champs League Draw

As I rejected their bid, I get drawn against them .  Very tough group but I think we can top it. PSG have bought a MC who was on my radar and they have some incredible players but, they don't have Mbappe.

Carabao Cup Draw

Should be an easy win.

Transfer Window End

I forgot, the Skipp sale was our record.

I sold a youth player and that was it.  I didn't find anyone else to bring in to improve the team and we really do have money sat there.

I just refuse to spend 50mil+ on a player where other teams are quite happy too.

And we're back to havin' the lowest wage budget.

Chairman will sell.

Hopefully no one who will want me replaced.

Some tough games in September but if we want to win the title, we need to win them all.

We just didn't turn up against Leciester.  A side I think we should be beating and we just weren't good enough.  Harvey Elliott scored the goal to seal the victory.

We dominated the first half but couldn't get a goal against Arsenal.  Subs changed everything.  Alvarino powered in his first York goal, ex-Gunner Sadler put us 2 up and Arsenal having their first and only shot/shot on target which was a clear cut chance to give them a glimmer of hope.  A mistake at the back should of seen us 3 - 1 up and another mistake at the back did see us go 3 - 1 up as Marcos stole the ball and played in Sadler for his brace.  Arsenal will get relegated playing like that.

Spurs were the same.  We got an early penalty but Sadler hit the post.  They then got a red card and it game over.  We had all the play, Zambrano finally put us up after 28 minutes and Palomeque doubled after 50.

3rd with a game in hand, we're doing well.

Ofc he did, he's amazing.

Carabao Cup

Some debuts, youth and fitness and into the next round.

Should win this.

Champions League

Crackin' start!

Two only a few days, two of them for 6 weeks or so.  4 injuries in 1 game and some of them had been rotated in for fitness reasons!

Time to keep it going in October and beat PSG!

We absolutely battered West Brom.  xG of 3 compared to their 0.68.  Bardhi scored a long range shot early on and it took substitue Ortiz to finish in the 91st minute for a draw.  My word my team aren't playing well currently.  My strikers are having proper stinkers.

Viilla scored after 19 minutes from a header after a cross from the right, missed a penalty and then scored again in the 89th minute to kill the game.  New signing Marcos Leonardo dribbles into the box and drills in for a brace against us.  All that, we still have higher xG.  We just do not put our chances away.

And it happened again.  Stewart finally turned up and got himself a brace but 2.59xG vs 0.76xG saw a long shot and a counter attack fly past Hall to give us only a draw.  It's so poor.

WE FINALLY WON A GAME!  We demolished a very poor Blackburn team.  Big blow though 'cause Alvarino was only coming on to take off a tired player and we've lost him for 2 months.  Tbf he's been pretty poor .

To be honest I don't really pay that much attention to xG.  We've just been missing so many chances and finding ourselves losing points we really should be winning.  We have had some injury and fitness problems where I've had to give the players that were away alot of the summer extra time to recover.  I need to look at one or two winter signings to give us more depth.

Somehow after that month we're still 3rd.

Carabao Cup

Close game, West Brom aren't a bad side.

But then we're at home to the league leaders.

Champions League

It was an even game and probably a fair result by Layton Stewart had two chances for us to win the game but, a draw is pretty decent.

International Debut

As I thought he would, Owusu has taken the LB spot from Cartagena 'cause Cartagena is just bad.

This is a cool little stat.

Oh damn, we're not playing well and we could see a very red November

Another game where we're not putting our chances away.  I made some subs and Branthwaite gets up to head in a corner and we somehow found ourselves behind.  Thankfully Gomez is fouled and Sadler coverts the penalty.

Better side against United but Owusu makes a mistake and Fernandes scored from the edge of the box.  Nothing I can do here.

I tried a different formation against Liverpool and we looked class.  We were ahead after just 2 minutes after Palomeque finished a lovely through ball from Ortiz.  Garcia headed in from a corner to equal it up and Ortiz set up Palomeque again.  We had chances but a header that Hall saved wasn't fully cleared, Godfrey failed to clear it and Tete hits in from close range.  Terrible goal to conceded.

I tried the same tactic against City and it just didn't work, we got absolutely battered until I went back to our 4 - 4 - 2.  We pulled one back later on but Palomeque should have seen us restore parity but another change missed and at this rate we're going into a relegation battle.

We gotta do better.

Champions League

Luckily our last game is against Benfica so we should top the group.

FA Cup Draw

We've gotta do better in December or my job might be in trouble.

A better month!  All I've done is change my WBs to FBs.

We started well.  Just before half time Godfrey heads 1 win and Palomeque doubles.  Late in the game Palomeque gets a brace before they pull one back, was a good finish tbf but all 3 points belong to us.

Where did this come from!?  Chelsea who were top got absolutely outplayed.  They lost Theo Hernandez early on and only a few minutes later Leo put us 1 - 0 up.  Gomez(LB playing at LCB) is fouled in the box and Salder puts away the pen and just minutes later Sadler gets a brace.  Really good football.

Our draws are interesting since I've been playing two different CBs, not my best pair stats wise but they've been solid, Gomez(LCB) has picked up an injury and we've not been as solid.

Sheff Utd gave us a game, their goal was far too easy.  Long ball over and my RB for some reason is well out of position, it makes no sense to where he is.  Dalton is in space to just hit in after that.  Stewart pulled one back in the second half for us but a draw was a fair result.

This one stung though.  We were the much better side.  Hit the woodwork twice, had good chances where Sadler should have won us the game but we went into half time down.  Corner comes in, it's cleared, a through ball finds Ikone in space and he slots in.  A mess up at the back lets Leo equalise for us but we never got the 2nd and that was dissappointing.

7 points behind where I want to be and our GD is far superior!

This is interesting.

We're solid at the back but our strikers are wasting too many chances.  I could have told you that .

Sadly though due to our rep and pricing, we cannot bring in better strikers.

Champions League

Brilliant

I think we can win.

Carabao Cup

We were bloody brilliant.  Such a shock performance.

And in the semi finals we face.

Tough game, Wolves do like to cause us problems.

FA Cup

So potentially two great GKs and CBs and not much else? Not much of a golden generation .

After arguing I managed for them to improve our facilities

But not recruitment :seagull:

Let's see how much we actually fill it

I need to bring in some players.  LM needs depth.  Ashford ain't bad but he's out.  Rhabib isn't having the best time, he played football all through the summer and even though I let him go on holiday, he's just not at his best and struggles with fitness.

There's an amazing CB that wants to move to a bigger club but he'd cost me pretty much all my money.  Do I take a punt? We're talking 60-70mil .  He's an absolute monster.

Might be worth spending some money if this is happening.

We have enough.

Oh damn, all those fixtures coming up and this happened.

Looks like my 18 year old Brazillian goalkeeper is going to be #1 for a few weeks... I should really buy better backup GKs and not just youngsters

We'll see what happens.  That's alot of games coming up.

Sign that CB up he’s already world class and there’s not much else that you need to improve on in order to get top 4!

What a month!

We were missing some key players and in the end Wolves were the better side and got their revenge after we hammeed them in the cup.  They took an early lead and not long after Cottrell having to fill in at LM equalised.  They took the lead again in the second half and late in the day Correa equalised but they found a winner.

The rest we've been amazing.  Roberts Flessers(Fleßers) has been an absolute insane purchase.

4 clean sheets, 2 goals since he's joined.  Scoring the winner against Newcastle and Leciester.

And it's really pushed up back up the table.  I reckon we can get 4th, I really do.

FA Cup

Not an easy task next though.

Carabao Cup

Seems I didn't screenshot the first leg but we hammered them.  We didn't even try in the second leg but thankfully we held them to a draw.

And the team I face...

The team I haven't beat in 9 attempts :seagull:

Transfer Window

Smashed it by over double  Chairman hasn't left yet either.

Not bottom anymore!

Let's see how we do in these cup competitions!  Especially since Leipzig have purchased 5 players in January.

Carabao Cup Final

Can we break the losing streak?

Greenwood doesn't even start and I'm not sure who Jose Santos is  but we still have Sancho, Fernandes and Rashford to deal with.

And I forgot to hold a team meeting which may have helped after our form just dropped.

First half:

39 seconds... it just 39 seconds for a goal.  To United.  Cross in, Zambrano misses the interception and Rashford pops it in.

We're pushing but United are defending to well.  It's taken 12 minutes for our 1st shot and it was off target.

19th minute: Cross in and Rharib heads over.

19th minute: Mess up at the back but United scramble and Stewart hits wide.

24th minute: Smart 1 - 2 but Rharib has hit shot saved.

28th minute: Low cross in and I'm thinking this is our chance but there's an offside from Stewart.

32nd minute: United freekick but fired well wide, their first shot in about 25 minutes.  It's all York.

37th minute: I say that but Hall just makes an amazing save to deny Sancho

Very even game now, United defense is just too good.

43th minute: Alvarino smashes a shot from the edge of the box and we win a corner.

44th minute: Flessers gets on the end of the corner but heads over

It's half time.  Rharib really isn't fit so Ashford is replacing.

Half time stats:

Second half:

46th minute: Owusu shoots but hits the side netting.

51st minute: Good cross from Leo finds Palmoque but he doesn't get his shot off, not sure why.

58th minute: Low shot from Macros and their goalkeeper makes a great save.

It's 1 - 1!!!

58th minute: Flessers heads in Leos corner.

60th minute:  Two subs.  Godfrey replaces Harlley and Correa replaces Stewart.

Orsolini just came on for Rashford, he loves a goal against York and has 25 minutes to do so.

WHY DO I DO IT TO MYSELF.  WE WERE PLAYING WELL. I just wanted to bring those not playing so well on but...

Godfrey doesn't intercept properly, they play it out and smash it into the top corner, it's 2 - 1 to United after 76th minute.

82nd minute: Cross in but Correa heads over.

It's full time and we still can't beat Manchester United.

Full time stats:

We were superb against Spurs.  It took just two minutes for Palomeque to put us ahead and Stewart doubled after 12.  They had a goal ruled out for offside after 18 minutes but it was Stewart again getting a brace and then a hat-trick to seal a rich victory.

I rotated after the Leipzig game and we were truly awful.  Nothing I could do could get us going, a very poor performance and a very easy win for West Brom.

2 - 0 up against Burnley and cruising.  After half time an error from Flessers allowed a header in the box from a freekick for Burnley to pull one back.  Rharib finally back, getting his brace, went of in the 82nd minute due to a bruised ankle, down to 10 and they won a 94th minute penalty which they converted.  Awful second half and incredibly frustrating to go down to 10 men due to a bruise.

I feel I need to win every game now for us to get Champions League and we're not playing well enough.

This is what Rharib does when he's back and fit.  We lost him to the ACoN which Morroco won but we've missed him alot this season.

Carabao Cup

See above.

FA Cup

We were brilliant  Ashford showing me he should have started in the Carabao Cup final.

Champions League

It was a bit cold.  First time I've seen a frosty pitch in FM21.

Not that it mattered.

3 away goals should see us through.

We could have a different owner in March.  Promising to sign a player natural at DC/DMC/MC in Davide Serretti who Juventus and Barcelons are after but imo misses key attributes to be a stand out in any three of those areas and Klaasen who is a damn good striker

March is a very tough month and we really need to beat everyone.

Takeover Complete

I only had a year left on contract so I thought I'd ask for that since they're throwing money around.

Well, this is different.

I went a bit cheeky and asked for more wage and transfer but they rejected

What an incredible month.  7 games, 6 clean sheets.

What a start it was at home to Villa.  Stewart and Correa both getting a brace and Sadler killing it off, lovely stuff.

We dominated Blackburn, they didn't manage a shot on target.  Stewart, Flessers and Correa getting on the scoresheet.

It was pretty even against Arsenal yet Marcos and Correa both scoring let us go in 2 up into the break.  Second half we were on another level with Stewart, Sadler who didn't celebrate against his former club and sub Cottrell all scoring.

Great again against Liverpool.  Stewart scoring just before halftime, well deserved we were the better side and getting a brace just after.  Sub Leo sold Marcos short and Maruccui pulled one back for Liverpool but Leo made up for getting a goal of his own.  Tete scored form the spot after Ortiz brought down his man after a corner was swung in but we held on for a huge three points.

All this and Solskjaer still beat me to manager of the month!

Even if we won every game I don't think it's enough for us to win the league but the Champions League looks like it's on our grasp.

So Flessers has been an immense purchase and Rharib has only managed to play in 20 apps this season thanks to international duty.

Champions League

Job very well done but then it goes max difficulty.

Bayern haven't lost a game all season.  IF we manage to get through we face a team we've atleast beaten before.

FA Cup

We've lost Palomeque for 7 weeks but we should be fine without him.

Wolves love giving us a bad day though we did knock them out of one semi final already.

Youth intake

They love Bateson, think he's got bags of potential.  I don't think he'll get there but we'll see.

Atleast my new board accepted my youth recruitment upgrade after a big of discussion.

New full international

That'll make two Dutch internationals here next season, that's pretty cool.  Do love having international players in my team.

If you thought last month was difficult then look at this.  We could end up treble winners or empty handed.

We battered City but drew 0 - 0 to kill any hope of the title but considering how much we'd dropped off, Champions League again would be brilliant.

@deltablue Hopefully I'll beat them in the second to last game of the season

We absolutely battered Manchester City yet they somehow left with a point.  We deserved much more.

And then we turned on the style against Everton with Layton Stewart scoring four goals!  Olivier Aertssen opened the scoring after just 4 minutes, superb.

We continued into the Brighton game, playing some good football with saw another 4 minute opener this time from Ortiz and Rharib doubled it up.

I had to rotate against Chelsea, we had many tired players and the 2nd leg vs Barcelona is far too important and we looked good until Layton Stewarts awful pass let them counter and score a 90th minute equaliser, they should have scored again thanks to another wonky pass from Layton but Martinez somehow fired wide.

Good month overall and hopefully we should finish 3rd or 4th.

And for the 4th time this season, Rharib wins player of the month.  I have to point out again he's spent weeks away from the club so it shows how good he is

Champions League

It's that man again, Rharib, he's quality.  They didn't manage a shot on target, undefeated who?

I played backup and unfit players in the 2nd leg, felt we'd easily gotten through and to be fair, we did.

And then we drew Barcelona who we can beat and did in the first leg.

Come on, we can win the Champs League on this form!

FA Cup

We didn't create good enough chances but my word Wolves were trash.

They scored a long shot after 56 minutes, their first shot on target and then got a dumb penalty towards the end.  Proper bottle job from my lads.

Might look a bit different next season, I plan to buy elite players

Let's finish on a high.

Barcelona were absolutely brilliant.  They hit the woodwork from what looked like a very very good chance and then again the woodwork with a cross near the end of the game which would have sealed them the victory.  Hall saved Al-Thanis penalty early on and made some great saves through out.  Alvarino on a sub hit a ball over, De Jong missed his header and Stewart controlled, another touch, in.   We held on through the rest of extra time and...

We face either Hertha or Chelsea and we can beat both.  I'll find out after work who we face.

And a bonus

End of Prem

Wait United and Liverpool are the same points and GD .  Hahaha United threw it drawing against us  and well Liverpool did the double over them

Really happy we turned our form round and finished 4th.  Too many draws this season but a couple of summer signings should sort that.  What a purchase Flessers has been.

Rharib also being available more will help us loads.

3rd year in a row

New Chairman praising, cheers .

But it's time for..

Aslong as the electrician doesn't come otherwise it'll have to be played after work :D

Champions League Final

This our best chance

It's been nearly three years since we lost to Chelsea and we probably would have beat them again in April if I haven't heavily rotated my squad.  This is a huge chance.  Just look at how we mauled them twice in December.

Literally the day before

He's my B2B midfielder, that's a bit of a blow.

I'm actually nervous  I hope that Alvarino and Ortiz can play in that midfield well enough without Marcos.

First half

8th minutes:  Rharib skins his marker and their goalkeeper makes a great save.

10th minute: Throw in, Rharib flicks in and it's Sadler pokes home.  WE'RE 1 - 0 up!

11th minute: Shot on target by Chelsea but it's easily saved.  They follow up with a corner and Flessers heads out.

13th minute: Another Chelsea corner and we clear easily.

20th minute: We have a corner  htis time but it 's easily cleared.  We take the ball back, Alvarino over to Correa who plays a good first time ball to Sadler, he hits across and Rharib hits in to make it 2 - 0!!!

22nd minute: Another Chelsea flear, Flessers clears again.

24th minute: Chelsea float in a freekick, it's headed away, they shoot and we block.

28th minute: Some great football by Chelsea, a perfect ball from Gravenbech and Anthony scores from a volley, it's just onside.  It's 2 - 1.

31st minute: Cross in from Chelsea and Anthony heads over, good chance.

37th minute: Owusu throws in, Rharib to Sadler to Ortiz who feeds a ball to Correa who drills in.  3 - 1!  Lovely team goal.

40th minute: Corner for York, swung in and headed out of the stadium.  Oh dear.

41st minute: Good low cross from Chelsea but Artssen clears, they win a corner and Hall makes a good save.

46th minute: We swing in a freekick and it's a huge save from Onana to stop a 4th going in.

It's half time, come on lads!  I knew starting Correa over Leo was right here.  He loves Champions League games just like Rharib.

Second half:

45th minute: Good ball played into Stewart but his shot is from a tight angle and easily saved.

49th minute: Havertz floats in a cross and Anthony heads over.

50th minute: York freekick swung in, misses everyone but Onana denys Correa at the back post.  We win a corner but easily cleared.

56th minute: Good fast football from York but Gomez shoots wide.

57th minute: Another wasted Chelsea corner.

He should have scored!

63rd minute: Great passing from York, Gomez surges into the box again, acres of space but it's the post!

66th minute: Another Chelsea corner but this time Ortiz clears.

73rd minute: Counter from York, ball over and Stewart collects, runs down but his weak foot sees it go well wide.

74th minute: Crackin' ball from Sadler sees Stewart hit on the volley but Onana saves for a corner. Which Chelsea easily clear.

80th minute: Leo and Zambrano replace Gomez and Stewart.  Leo goes to MR and Correa to Poacher.

84th minute: Good pass from Chelsea and Havertz is in the box and fires wide.

85th minute: Palomeque replaces Correa

85th minute: Crackin' skill from Sadler but fires wide.

86th minute: Good pass into the box from Chelsea but a fierce shot flys past the post.

89th minute: Goal and it should be game over 'cause that's 4!  Owusu throws to Rharib, plays to Alvarino, to Palomeque, to Sadler into Leo who slots in.

93rd minute, we're defending well but we're down to 10 with Owusu injured

My backroom looks so weird  I can't win a cup in England but here's one of the biggest in Football

Won't be big chances comin' this summer.  I don't need it and with two players already arriving thanks to the board.  I just need another MC and another ML.  "I think", we'll see.

Club World Championships

So even though I'm trying to sell/buy players, we're in a tournament.  I'm missing Alex Hall and Davide Serretti to the U21 European Championships so my 19 year old goalkeeper will have to take charge.

Looks like it's all go for us

Club World Championship

We topped our group with a huge win and a close victory.

Easy Quarters for us.

But Bayern got revenge in the semi finals.  My team are absolutely knackered.

But it seems last time we played Valencia it was a loss, but not this time as we finish third in the competition.

Barcelona won the competition.  Beating Bayern 1 - 0.

Of course I do, 82mil later.

Hopefully this is a prem winning team

It's been a really strange start with alot happening and the players not having much of a holiday.

Our efforts really have paid out this year.

Which means my chairman wants to see more trophies in the back.

And I suppose he is letting me do things like this.

The Window hasn't seen that much movement from us.

Aertssen was good at what he did but 48mil is alot of money and I brought in better.

Fringe players were bid for but refused moves, still hoping I can move them on.

The rest are youth that weren't going to make it.  Especially Meakin who Wolves paid compensatation to sign and I don't think he'll ever make it.

There's the two my chairman brought in with Klaasen looking really good.  Serretti is really useful that he can play CB/DM/CM.  Pfanne is potentially the best CB in the world and Karpuz is a really smart DLP where 21mil is an absolute steal.

Not much else to do, the facilities have been maxed out except Youth Recruitment which they will not upgrade.

I've been getting the backroom staff in better shape, it was good anyway and I have loyalty to some of the staff who have been here for some time so we're not best in every area.  My coaching staff are amazing though.

I've just found Michael Carrick released a year back, madness.

It's time for us crack on and see if we can win something this season.

Pre-season went well.

But it's a tough start, let's beat Manchester United

Opening game of the season

European Super Cup

No idea what to make of this, who's the favourite but hopefully we can get another trophy in the cabinet.

First half:

6th minute: Good long ball, good touch and Maxi Gomez is in but his shot is very poor and easy for Hall.  They should be 1 - 0 up.

10th minute: Leo floats in a corner but Flessers heads wide.

11th minute: Corner down the other end but Flessers easily clears.

12th minute: Omer plays a ball to Stewart but his shot is easily saved.

14th minute: Very nice football from York but Marcos' long shot is an easy save.

16th minute: Rharib swing sin the corner, Pfanne heads but it's saved.

22nd minute: Leo floats in the corner but Flessers heads wide.

24th minute: Shot from the edge of the box by Leo but it's saved.

It's all York we just can't score.

28th minute: Lovely football.  Zambrano moved to RB, passing around between himself, Flessers, Pfanne and Omer. Rharib back to Omer, who runs forward, plays in Rharib and it's 1 - 0!

31st minute: Lyon corner but it's easily clared and we're just holding the ball nicely.

32nd minute: Leo floats in a corner, it's cleared and we win another corner.  Leo again, Flessers heads and keeper saved, they counter but we mop up.

34th minute: Leo drills in a cross, Rharib somehow hits the post!  Stewart follows up though to make it 2 - 0!

40th minute: Rharib with the corner, Flessers on the end but it's saved.

45th minute: Freekick, Leo hits it in, Flessers heads over and he's offside.

Half time.

Second half:

47th minute: Leo floats in a freekick and Klaasen heads well wide.

48th minute: Marcos with the cross and Rharib heads well wide.

56th minute: Serretti is coming on for his debut to replace Marcos and Sadler replaces Klaasen.

59th minute: Lyon corner but it's cleared.  They're yet to have a shot after the 5th minute.

61st minute: Seretti steals the ball, drives forward, ball through to Stewart who slots in.  That's lovely from Seretti .  3 - 0!

70th minute: Ashford replaces Rharib so we have him fit for the Arsenal match.

71st minute: Another Lyon corner easily cleared.

76th minute; Lyon finally have another shot on target, corner swung in but it's headed straight at Hall.

82nd minute: Wild long shot from Lyon, well wide.

84th minute: Great run by Leo down the right, he swings it to just outside the box where Omer drills a long shot wide.

87th minute: Cross in from Lyon and hit wide.

88th minute: Seretti cuts into the box but hits straight at the Lyon goalkeeper.

It's full time.

We win the Super Cup!

Just a couple of days prior.

Nice, more fans want to see our lovely football but then.

Strange, he's not been here long, spent 110mil of his own money and then might be off again?

We finally beat Manchester United!  We took the lead after 32 minutes and they equalised just before the half.  Palomeque was a super supb, scoring and helping Rharib in his play to win us the game.

I have no idea how we didn't beat Arsenal, we missed an early pen and they scored an early pen but we absolutely battered them.  Their goalkeeper was MOTM on 8.9 peaking at 9.1!  Palomeque was a big miss as he had a knock.

We went down to an early goal through Liam Delap at Bournemouth Stadium but a Klaasen hat-trick, a Palomeque hat-trick and a Flessers goal put the game to bed.  7 - 1

And ofc he's young player again.

Carabao Cup Draw

Tough ask but we should beat Chelsea.

Champions League Draw

We can top the group.  Zebre are the toughest ask and we've not lost to them in two meetings.

It wasn't over.

Cottrell isn't good enough now and that is silly money for him.  Godfrey could have played a part I guess but I'd rather get him off the wage bill.  Alvarino apart from his Barcelona pass has been very much below par.  The rest have gone out to play football, Geroge has gone to Leciester to replace the player I've bought.

English, plays all across midfield, can cover for Rharib, actually really what we needed.  It's a superb purchase for us.

We're creeping up the wage table.

And thanks to our chairman it looks like we're trying to buy the league.

Now that's over, let's get on with some football.  No reason we can't get a full green month in September.

A silly pen given by Cartagena was put away by Forss to put Leeds ahead.  Pfanne got his first York goal to draw us level and Klassen in the 72nd minute on the game for us.  Deserved, we were the better side.

We battered Leciester and Sadler should have scored but he hit the post to sum up our day.

Much better against Norwich with Rharib putting us ahead after 10 minutes, Palomeque doubling after 18 but no more goals.

Compared to Derby where Klaasen scored an early pen, Palomeque doubled, Flessers tripled and a Rharib brace put us 5 up.  Lovely stuff.

Only one goal conceded this month and that was through a penalty.  It's looking good.

And ofc

He's the best LM in the world imo and Barcelona want him.

131mil? No thanks, he isn't replaceable.

Carabao Cup

I know I put my 2nd string out but we were so poor.  Players with 6.2/3 rating isn't acceptable, they were all fined.

On a different note, Chelsea also broke an our record of ours.

Champions League

Good start.

Goals and debuts, lovely stuff

About time Leo was called up!  He showed them why.

All great stuff :D

So, takeover?

Everything seems to have settled for the moment.

We're becoming a big club here.  Big gap between us and Everton

They rejected a bigger transfer budget but I do have some more wages to play with.

I do need another MC in January as Ortiz just isn't playing well enough.  For a DLP who has the stats he does, he's very disappointing.

Hopefully we can keep the league form going.

Huge blow for us.  Marcos is my main B2B midfielder, 19, can still improve.  Out for the season.

Not a good month overall.

Layton Stewart had about 6 chances to put us ahead against Wolves, 'keeper saved them all, was awful shooting and then Harvey Elliot channeled his inner Rey Mysterio to drop kick his opponent and see red.  Bad day at the office, should have been an easy win.

We took an early lead through Leo against Liverpool and they equalised just before the break.  Both teams seem to have stayed in the locker room for the second half and both were poor.  Klaasen had chances but I can only guess his boots were on the wrong foot.

We really didn't create anything against West Brom and it was poor overall.

We gotta do better than this.

Champions League

Why can't we play our Premiership games aswell as we do our Champions League games.

He will be trained at club, he isn't going anywhere, even if I have to give him another 100k a week.

We have to win every league game in November and I need to find a MC to bring in for Jan.

We're also without Klaasen for November.  I need Sadler, Stewart and Palomeque to pick up the slack.

Poor in the prem. We gotta do better to win the league.

I say that but we were so good against Manchester City.  We got a pen after just 2 minutes which Sadler scored and Leo doubled after 16 minutes.  Seretti won goal of the month with his great effort in the 37th and Sadler got a brace in the 71st.  We absolutely battered them.

And we've had knocks, players out, last few games I've only had 6 on the bench.  We have 5 players currently injured and even the players i've loaned out are injured.  Might need more depth afterall.

But we turned up to Spurs and did nothing, their goal was lucky but we didn't create a thing.  When we did get a good chance Palomeque decided he'd hit it on his weak foot and it went closer to the corner flag.  Bad day.

We did better in the Brighton game, we pounced a mistake after 72 minutes and Rharib finished but in the 89th minute, my RB decides he's Messi, cuts in, loses the ball, they whack a long ball up that Zambrano(who's only on 'cause Flessers is suspended) doesn't sort it properly, Magnani collects it and finishes it.  So poor.

We're chasing Liverpool and Chelsea already and that's bad news.

Champions League

Yet we were class again in the Champs League

We've not conceded in 5 games and scored 19!

Progress being made

Let's see how the prem looks in January with all these games in December!

January will have transfers and the board just offered me even more wages but.. won't give me any more transfer money? :idiot:

Routine win over Blackburn.  Poor team, rock bottom.

How we threw away the points at home to Newcastle.  We were cruising, made some subs for the Chelsea match, a ball over, a ball in and Bowen equalises in the 87th minute.  It should have been put to bed long before that.

Turns out Layton Stewart in 12 games hasn't scored a league goal this eason.

It was more of an even game against Chelsea but we led at the Bridge and a late goal from Anthony ruined the day.  Again, a very bad game from our forwards.

And made even worse at Goodison. We led through a crackin' Zambrano freekick.  They stole a goal later on, I went attacking, my team went AWOL as their attacking just ran through my team to hit in and then to make it worse, they attacked, Flessers clears it off Zambrano straight into Buitinks path, another throw.

Some changes and we turned into a much better side against West Ham.  A second half goal from Harvey Elliot and then he put away a penalty for a brace.

He kept it going.  Rharib got a brace but Elliot was assisting them from the right, was amazing football.  We went ahead, they pulled it back not long after but Zambrano with another goal put us back ahead.

We gotta keep THIS form going, we'd had some bad results and my board seem to be getting very annoyed at the draws with my performance dropping to a C? I mean, I'm in Champs League, I'm still 5th and it's a C.  Fickle.

Now I'm in 4th it's a B-.

Champs League

21 goals scored, 0 conceded and we had a very much rotated squad with 5 subs against Juventus

Should be able to beat Hertha

FA Cup Draw

Not easy but I want that damn cup this year.

Youth intake

Pretty poor intake this year sadly.

Yearly awards

You can see why I won't let Rharib go

Some big games at the top for us in January.  Maybe transfers? We'll see.

Well, turns out there will be, they've just throw 40mil my way.

What a month.  We've been brilliant!

Harvey Elliot has been immense and even though he missed an early penalty against Manchester United, he found himself in the right spot to hit in a rebound after 31 minutes.  Not only have we finally beat Manchester United, we've done the double over them.

We battered Bournemouth.  Klaasen brace, Elliot put away his pen this time and Palomeque.  They finally had their first shot, it was on goal and went in after a freekick into the box and Hall was beaten.

Complete control against Arsenal as Seretti gave us the lead after 20 minutes and Klaasen doubled just before the break.  Dias was sent off late on.

A penalty was the difference at the King Power, Elliot putting this one away.

Another penalty but Sadler started this time and he's normally our pen taker and he put us up against Norwich.  Klaasen put us 2 ahead just beofre the break.  They did pull one back but Leo killed the game off.

That's 7 wins in a row, lovely.

Elliot has the highest rating in the prem, he's been so so so so good.

I finally won another MOTM

FA Cup

We're still in it to win it.

Both teams had penalty shouts turned down by VAR but thanks to ex-York MC Alvarino we got the win.

We should of had more, Stewart missing a penalty, he just can't score but is still the clubs top goalscorer for the season since he's good enough in the Champs League + Club World Champs.

Should beat Reading.

I found no one, no youth that I can get in, nothing.  I just brought Dave George back from his loan as far enough he's been injured but he'd of played as many games here as Leicester gave him.

I'm just sat here with this

I may have missed out on Oliveria, he's an insane striker who could give City that push for the title.

It hasn't been the busiest of Winter Windows

Let's keep it going in February.

Great start, 7 wins a row was stopped by Wolves who didn't do much but neither did we, they belted in a 23 yarder to kill the streak.

Superb against Leeds though, we were 2 up after 13 minutes, they pulled one back after 22 mninutes and Sadler put away his pen. Rharib got a brace late on to kill the game.

We kept it going against Derby, early goal from Sadler, then a brace from Sadler after a pen, they pulled one back and Serreti saw red for a horror tackle, we scored just after and then we got gifted an OG later on.

I just need a way to get my strikers scoring more.  Only Sadler is putting them away atm.

And ofc

Champs League

They were good, they stopped Elliot being able to do his stuff and should have probably scored more but we take home an away goal.

Big big games coming in March with Liverpool and March.  Come on you Minstermen!

Link to post

We continued the good form.

Our strikers were poor but Zambrano headed in the winner vs West Brom after just 8 minutes.

We were class vs Liverpool and Klaasen showed his class by getting a brace.

We were decent against City.  Owusu misses his interception and they score a great goal, they played some good football and scored again, we pulled one back through Zambrano and then they score a belter of a freekick.  They had 3 shots on target and scored all 3 :seagull:

We made points up to catch Liverpool and lost it again.  April is going to be huge and we have alot of football games to play.

Champs League

Stewart atleast can score from the spot 'cause he could of had two more from open play, we played some good football in the second half and we're through, all that matters.

Draw is very difficult for us though.

FA Cup

Looking really good for us, hoping we can lift our first FA cup this year.

Youth intake

Really was a poor year but we've had our recruitment finally improved after some arguing.

New full internatinal

Really cool to see.  We have alot of international players here now, possibly about 80% of the squad are.

This is what I mean about April, alot of games to play.  We have to get revenge on Spurs!  We need a full house if we want to win the league.

Link to post

The league is over.  Our good form over the last couple of months doesn't matter with how we ended it.  Harvey Elliot missed a vital penalty vs Brighton and another vs Chelsea and our strikers have been terrible.

Sadler was brilliant against Spurs but he's been injured and massively missed against Brighton and Chelsea with Klaasen, Stewart and Palomeque being woeful.

Back to the drawing board in the summer.

Champs League

No Leo and not killing off the first leg saw us get battered away, not good enough.

FA Cup

Atleast we have a chance of silverware

I can't see Liverpool throwing it away now.  They have Blackburn to play who have been shocking.  Brighton and Newcastle could prove difficult but we'd need to win all 3 games anyway and on our current form, we ain't gonna.

Lets win the FA Cup!

Only positive is this, I gotta buy a proper striker in the summer who can take pens.  It's what we're missing.

So close, with these 3 wins it means if we didn't mess up at the end of April, we'd of won the league on GD.

We can build on this.  Our awards show our quality.

And we have a very mad budget

Now to finish our season in the FA Cup Final

FA Cup Final

Big ask to our key players here.

First half:

1st minute: Leo crosses, Rharib hits but it's easy for the 'keeper.

2nd minute: Hagi hits a freekick but it's wide.

7th minute: Leo hits in the freekick, Klaasen heads but it's saved for a corner.  Elliot swings in, Flessers heads but it's saved.

10th minute: Leo does well, crosses in but Rharib hits over.

18th minute: Elliot hits the freekick but it's wide.

22nd minute: Leo crosses in a freekick but it's headed high and wide and not very pretty

33rd minute: There's a goal.  Elliot with a great ball, Leo hits it but it's saved, Sadler follows up and it's in the net.  York lead!

37th minute: Sadler cross but Klaasens header is easy.

42nd minute: Serretti booked for a stupid challenge.

43rd minute: Rharib tries going alone, does everything but his shot is well well well wide.

45th minute: A crackin' shot but it's the bar for Sheff Utd!

45th minute: Good passin' in the box, Leo shoots but it's saved.

Half time!

Second half:

45th minute: Lovely skills from Elliot and the keeper has gone to get down to save his long shot.

46th minute: Freekick into the box and Klaasen could have scored.

49th minute: Owusu with a throw in, Klaasen headed to Elliot who drills a pass to Leo who slots in, York lead by 2!

51st minute: Elliot freekick is wide.

Is that a pen!?

It is!

57th minute: Sadler hits in the penalty.  York lead by 3!

59th minute: Ball in from Sheff Utd, good header but Hall handles well.

60th minute: Sheff Utd corner, swung in and we clear.

72nd minute: Stewart and Ortiz replace Serretii and Klaasen.  Could be Stewarts last game.  A striker who made 18 apps in the league and a scored 0 is the difference in winning a title.

78th minute: And he scored.  Leo plays a ball through and Stewart hits in.

81st minute: Omer replaces Rharib for the last 10 minutes.

It's full time!

And it's World Cup time for some of my squad.

Hopefully you cah challenge again for the title next season.

Looking for a striker right now, it's either Eposito for around 70mil who is class (and he's in good form so he's bumped up a bit in terms of scouting)

or this guy

For 57mil, not even the finished article yet.  Looks bloody brilliant to me.

Season 2030/2031

We're growing as a club!

It also means that really do want trophies!

And we're about to compete for our first

Transfers... SO FAR.

They aren't over but I'm about to start my games.  So, I can only do the transfers so far.

Alex Hall was given a 150k P/W last summer to then turn unambitious and it really bothered me, he's replaceable.

Dave George was backup and I thought I'd sell whilst I could, last year of contract.

Cartagena is a funny one, some good clubs wanted and I don't trust playing him and most the time I can't 'cause he's injured.  Wasn't needed/wanted anymore.

Ashford has a good loan and that money is silly, isn't worth that at all.

Tait was a youngster never making it here.

Flynn and Gash go out to try and get better experience to play backup here.

Shiels is an absolute class LB that will be starting over Owusu

Vargas is a B2B for the future

Dundar looks like Nubel to me who was incredible in my Rotherham save.  Has potential and can get there if played, replaces Hall, even if he lacks gametime.

Hopefully the striker to help us win the league, so so good.

The spending isn't over.  I lost out on two players so far but I feel I have a very very good squad I just need LM cover and I might be getting in a very strange transfer where the player will need to be trained there.

We still have alot of money to play with

And we're very very rich

Time to start!  Let's see green!

Community Shield

Zidane has just left Liverpool to go back to Juventus so they're without a manager.  I should really be winning here.

First half:

2nd minute: Elliot with the corner but Flessers heads straight at the keeper.

3rd minute: Leo centers from the right and Serreti hits low but the keeper gathers.  His quick kick is collected by Shiels but he hits over.

9th minute: Leo played down the right, cuts in and shoots but it's wide.  He could have centered for Yordane!

11th minute: Another corner but headed over this time.

12th minute: Liverpool score but Haaland is a mile offside.

13th minute: Another corner, headed over again.

14th minute: Yordane crosses but Klaasen heads over.

15th minute: Leo played in but hit at the keeper!

22nd minute: Liverpool with the corner this time and Dundar makes an amazing save to keep it 0 - 0!  He collects the 2nd corner.  What an absolute brilliant save that was.

23rd minute: There's a goal.  To York!  Pfanne crosses in and Rharib heads into the back of the net.

30th minute: Yordane shoots but it's saved.

35th minute: Silky skill from Rharib, plays a ball into Klaasen who hits wide.

37th minute: So close, Leo with the skill this time and Klaasen heads wide.

38th minute: There's a goal.  It's 2 - 0! Klaasen plays a ball thorugh to Leo who slots past the 'keeper.

43rd minute: Ball over and a great save from Dundar to deny Liverpool one back.

Half time!

Second half:

46th minute: Klaasen plays a ball to Yordane who shoots wide from outside the area.

55th minute: Great defending from York but the second ball falls to the Liverpool winger, crosses back in and Silva heads over, close for Liverpool.

56th minute: Good ball from Shiels finds Klaasen but he heads over.

58th minute: Another long ball and Liverpool attack fast but Dundar makes another great save.  This man could be MOTM!

67th minute: Dundar makes a howler of a kick out, they attack fast but hit the post.

70th minute: Harlley, Karpuz and Sadler replace Zambrano, Rharib and Yordane.

To Liverpool

For what looks like absolutely nothing, Flessers is booked.

75th minute: It's 2 - 1, a very soft penalty gives them hope.

Liverpool have woken up, 10 minutes left.  Can we hold on?

83rd minute: Omer plays in Leo with a lovely ball but the 'keeper saves.

84th minute: Crackin' passin' and Sadler plays in Leo this time but he's denied again.  Correa and Ortiz are replacing Serretii and Klaasen.

86th minute: Leo brilliant again and their keeper is brilliant again.

88th minute: Flessers heads over from a corner.

94th minute: Gustavo saves low from a Correa shot.

Full time!

Well, this has been a brilliant start!

Rharib got our first goal after 29 minutes against Leicester and then new signing Liam Delap decided to do a proper strikers tackle and saw red for Leicester City.   Leo, Yordane got a brace each and Pfanne got himself on the scoresheet, easy.

Same happened against Sheff Utd in a way.  Weston McKennie with an ugly takcle saw red after just 7 minutes.  Yordane scored just minutes later, Harlley got his first York goal after 18 minutes and there was an O.G after 25.  We seem to turn off after that.

Newcastle were more of a challenge.  Yordane found himself with a first half brace and Finley Burns pulled one back after heading in a corner for Newcastle but we held off any other attacks and could have scored more, they were decent though>

Leeds game was more routine and scoring only 2, they were lucky.  Flessers got us ahead after a header from a corner and Yordane doubled, easy.

You'll see the name Yordane alot this season.

Keeping on the growth

Palomeque fell out with me after Yordane came in, only way I could get him to leave, he wanted out but had just signed a new contract prior to Yordane joining.

Gomez wanted more first team football.

Yeah, I'm retraining Mason at ML

I wanted another CB and I had two targets.  One was established but lacked work rate/team work.  Curtean has potential to get his bravery up, just have this good feeling about this lad and compared to the rest of my team, he can take a penalty.

And somehow United outspent us! We're about 210mil

Cup Draws

FA Cup should be easy enough.

Champions League should be easy enough to win the group.

The Man Utd match is already a big one for the title race, let's keep this form going!
