How do I find certain players?

Hi I'm new this game. 

I've played FM over the years on pc but this is no where near as easy to play on xbox. 

I'm looking to sign new players that people recommend on here. 

But can't find how to just type in a certain name. 

I have to figure out what club there at and then try to find them that way. 

Any help will be appreciated, thanks

Top of the screen there is a magnifying glass, click that and then you can click on the text box that appears.
