corinthiano
So I just took of New York City FC and noticed one of the scouts has his specialism as "Tactical Analyst". First time I have seen that...anyone have any idea what their strengths are and how best to use them? I tend to prefer having two First Team Scouts and one Youth Scout but am intrigued enough to give this guy a go... I don't actually know what he does but I always assumed he is good at creating opposition reports
SI Staff Marc Vaughan Posted January 14, 2021 SI Staff Share Posted January 14, 2021 There are a few additional things revealed by a tactical analyst which won't show up on other scouts next match reports and such ... as the name suggests they're more analytical than other scouts. Speaking of which if you're a bit of a football geek - I'd recommend "The Football Code - The Science of the beautiful game" .... its about how Brentford use analytics in their transfer decisions and is quite an interesting read (just don't expect it to give away the formula that they use .. apparently a lot of amazon reviewers for the book did )

corinthiano
Thank you all - I have set him up to scout next opposition now and will look out for the extra detail on the reports @casperzwaart100 - I had a Bargain Hunter once and noticed he found a lot of cheap, but not so good players, so guess the title was kinda right haha @Marc Vaughan - thanks for the tip, will look to get myself a copy!
