How much does mentality affect the instruction sliders?

For example, if you wanted to play a possession game, would a positive mentality + shorter passing play similar to a cautious mentality + high dline/loe + more urgent pressing?  And how would these differ to playing balanced with both sets of instructions (shorter passing + higher dline/loe +more pressing)?

Team mentality also affects individual player mentality (you can see this by clicking on the position in the tactic screen & clicking player instructions), the higher the mentality of the team the higher the mentality of the player. The lower the mentality of the player, the safer that player will play, the higher the mentality of the player, the more risk that player is willing to take. Obviously, a player that plays at the lower end of the mentailty will make safer decisions when on the ball & help the team keep the ball. A higher mentality player will choose to make a risky pass, make a run, take a shot etc increasing the chance of turning over possession

Play around with the team mentalities & player roles & duties then check the player mentalities. Choosing Attacking then nerfing all of the TI's will still have a team of higher mentality players, that's why it's easier to play possession football on lower team mentalities then adding TI's to increase the threat of the team
