Stopsley Utd's History on Football Manager

Below are the 2 major saves I have had with Stopsley Utd on Football Manager.
I did attempt some saves on other versions but none that lasted more than just
a few seasons, the saves on FM10 lasted 50 seasons and on FMC15 was 64 seasons.

Updates and some details and stats from those saves.

TWO CLUBS,ONE GAME!

puhW4L.jpg

I will be managing my two clubs.

One club in England and the other in Scotland.

STOPSLEY UTD
This club will have the same set-up, will be starting in Sky Bet League One replacing MK Dons.
We will be based at Stadium MK, Milton Keynes, England.

We have a starting squad of 30 players, all aged 30 and above, the club will be rich based on success we have
had in previous manager games through the years, transfer policy will probably changed later in save.
To start with and for the foreseeable future we will only be signing players 30 and above.

MAWBOROUGH
This club will be starting in Ladbrokes League Two, they will replace Clyde, unlike MK Dons, Clyde remain in the
game database they have just dropped out of the league, this club will be a youth only club.
The only twist on that is that I will be using youth intakes from both Stopsley Utd & Mawborough.

I have set things up with Stopsley Utd being senior affiliate to Mawborough, Mawborough will recieve £500k per season.

Mawborough will be based in Old Shielfield Park, Berwick-upon-Tweed, England.

lfpvdb.jpg
This will be in use, will be using this to move players from Stopsley Utd to Mawborough.
I will also use it to change kits for teams at certain times over the years of the save.

MILTON KEYNES CITY
I have set this club back-up in the game, thought I would be nice and give a little back to MK.
I have placed them in the Southern Counties East League, they replace Crowborough I think.

(Crowborough also remain in game database)

They will play at Woughton on the Green (Stopsley Utd's Training Ground)
I have also set Stopsley Utd as senior affiliate and MK City will get £250k per year.

I have picked a song for the clubs, obviously they don't match team word for word lol, I do think the titles
and choruses are quite apt though and do fit quite well.

So for Mawborough it is - The Days of Being Young & Free by Amy Macdonald

for Stopsley Utd - Forever Young by Becky Hill

The opening games for both clubs!

Stopsley Utd thump Wigan 5-0 but it took a bit of work as the first goal came against the run of play.

Things were much tougher for Mawborough, it was a tight game but we slip to late defeat.

Both clubs are in cup action next, Stopsley Utd face Forest Green and Mawborough have.........

EDIT: My mistake, Stopsley Utd have a cup game but Mawborough face Berwick at home in league game.

The cup game is a couple of games later, We don't have to travel far lol

It has been a very solid start, 3 wins and a draw in the league, comfortable progress in the league cup.
Not so great in the other cup but we won the group game on penalties.

Players and manager just missed out on awards.

It has been tougher in Scotland but that is expected, after a couple of narrow defeats we finally
managed to pick up a league win, we also edged things in the cup against rivals Berwick Rangers.

Our youth players are rated as the major transfers in league two.

This was 2nd v 1st and it was tight, then it looked like we were going to fall to our first defeat on 87 minutes......

Huddlestone hit back straight away and then Navas snatched the win..

A great month, so close to winning all our games but AFC Wimbledon held us.
We have opened up a seven point gap and it looks like we should be cruising to promotion.
That is very much to be expected anyway at this stage of the save.

Hernandez collects award and Navas comes 3rd.

Things are proving a lot tougher in Scotland though, a very bad month, well terrible, abysmal, awful, take your pick lol.
Can use any of those and more to describe things, four games four defeats, Elgin City somehow managing to be worse.

Portsmouth inflicted a first defeat on the veterans and Leicester then put us out of the cup.
It was still a very good month with four league wins and a six point lead on Blackburn.

A short month for the youths and apart from the narrow cup win it wasn't good.
