At 87:45, a player had all the time in the world to look forward and release player at halfway line. Never happens, despite this being logical and requiring no brain cells to decide.

In the screenshots below, you can definitely see he had enough space and time, nothing blocking his line of sight, and at a certain point nearly level to release a pass. You don't have to be Messi to pass forward at a free guy.

Have I lost my mind completely, or is Pepe not miles offside in every single one of those pictures? There's not a single Leeds player (except for the off-screen GK) between him and the goal in any of those pictures, so Willock has no business passing it.

"The law states that a player is in an offside position if any of their body parts, except the hands and arms, are in the opponents' half of the pitch, and closer to the opponents' goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent (the last opponent is usually, but not necessarily, the goalkeeper)"

Ah, fair enough, had completely forgotten about that little wrinkle. To be honest that could very well be what the ME is getting wrong in the above photos.
