[FM 21] Top Shadow Strikers

If you could have anyone to play in the shadow striker role, who would your top 5 choices be?

Who would you buy if you had to do it on a budget?

What prospects would you try to buy who could grow into excellent shadow strikers?

Depends on the set up and style of play I guess. I've been using a strikerless 433 with Rashford and Greenwood as Shadow Strikers and they've been insanely good. Think rashford played 48 games for me and got 39 goals and 25 assists. In my system pace, movement, dribbling are the most important attributes to have for the players there, with finishing, vision, passing probably just behind. I'm looking at Fekir, Pulisic, Sterling, Lautaro and Asensio as potential options there.

Anybody have ideas for budget options? I'd like to employ a shadow striker teamed with a TM(S) in a 4-4-1-1 DM formation in a counter attacking system.

I'm Norwich, play 2 SS's behind an Advanced Forward. Fortunately I have Emi Buendia already and play him there. He is a cheat code.

 

First season in Championship he got 13 goals, 15 assists and 9 POM - Avg 7.30

First season in Prem - Came 2nd. 14 goals, 26 assists and 12 POM - Avg 7.69

Third season in, currently top of prem - 8 goals, 17 assists, 5 POM in 15 games - Avg 8.11

BUT.

Budget option, got this man in the Championship for his key attributes which filled SS perfect - Lee Jae-Sung for 575k. 27 I think at beginning of game, 38 goals in 80 games, 21 assists, now worth 31m and still on his 11k a week wages. I'd give him a pay rise but he still wants to be an important player, and with Demir now in the squad I can't lie to him

I use SS in almost all my saves since FM19. 4-4-1-1, CF/s or DLF/s in front of him. In FM21 i manage to loan Goncalo Ramos from Benfica to HSV and he was outstanding in this role. In my Newcastle save i've bought Loftus-Cheek and he is also a very good shadow striker.
