It seems as if, if you are out with the transfer window it gives a greyed out testing changes only option, It is fine during a transfer window, but considering you as supposedly able to register free agents at anytime, this is a bit of an annoyance, especially after you have signed a player, then cannot play him, and then the player start to get unhappy. Once you are in a valid registration window then you will be able to make changes again and the 'Testing Changes Only' button will be removed. If you are inside a registration window and you are still encountering this issue and the steps detailed previously in this thread do not resolve your issue then please upload your save game and we will take a look. It's called 'Sam - Palace.fm' Thanks I have holidayed for a day and it has kind of fixed itself, but the clubs have only registered the remaining spaces they had left and not removed the random youth players. Chelsea for example haven't registered Kovacic, Chilwell, Werner, Havertz or Ziyech. Unsure if this corrects itself? EDIT: Ok so just an update. I went to the end of the window and all clubs have now registered their best players. Still quite annoying that there were weakened teams for quite a few games though. We have paid for the online editor so that we can registrate player at any time - due to us making transfers at anytime in the season. This is literally destroying 100 hours of playing. You HAVE TO FIX THE BUG. Dont pretend we are morons saying: "you can't register outside of the transfer window...". We have been playing this for 15 years (most of the people in this thread). You are supposed to be able to register free agents: and the whole purpose of BUYING your trash-online editor is to be able to manage the game the way you want. Fix it. And give feedback, this ruined my evening. It works fine though when registering players for league places. I was managing Rangers and it was fine in the first season but in the 2nd season i then got this message. I have tried everything mentioned from clearing caches to going on holiday but it doesn't change. I have setup another profile to manage another team in PSG just to check to see if it works but it's still the same. I have also deleted steam and fm21 and redownloaded but with no luck. We are aware of a couple of issues causing this which we are working to fix. One occurs in certain scenarios where the user has navigated through several transfer windows and has not save/reloaded. One is in regards to the user being unable to register free agent signings outside of registration windows. The reason I ask for a save game is to make sure users aren't encountering this in a scenario we have not got covered. Thanks Hi Steve, as mentioned above we are aware of some scenarios where this has occurred and are keen to get this fixed for users in a future update. I've not seen a report or not had a save game with this problem in a Champions League registration window so would be keen to look at your save. Once you click on the link to the SI cloud link you will presented with this page (see below pic) if you click on the 'Click to select files' text this should bring up a window which you will be able to upload files from. You will need to find where your FM save games are stored , for example Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2021\games. From here you can drag your save game into the box on the cloud and then it will upload. From there we will be able to download it and look into what is causing the issue. Brian Laudrup - Rangers (v02).fm As i have noticed, it automatically registers players after the transfer window closes but it doesn't include new signings so once your initial players leave/retire you will be left with no players registered. i hope this helps to try and get this rectified. I tried going on holiday for one day and it seemed to make no difference. Update: Yes there is (found on a different thread about this issue)! Just put them into your match squad (so don't filter out unavailable just for this match) and when you advance into the match day screens they are automatically registered. Two days later on the 16th July a Champions Cup squad registration news item is generated into the users inbox, when accessing the Registration page from this news item I am able to register a Champions Cup squad (see below pic) The Champions League registration works differently to the league registration. With league registration the user is able to make changes to the squad at any time up until the close of the registration window. With the Champions Cup registration the user is only able to make changes on specified dates, which is when the registration news item will come into the users inbox. If accessing the Champions Cup registration page outside of one of these registration dates then it will correctly show 'Testing Changes Only' as you will be unable to submit any changes. There are a number of Champions Cup registration dates throughout the qualification stage, for example there will be one on the 19th July which will give the user the opportunity to make changes and register any new signings etc signed throughout the window. Apologies if you knew all of the above. Could you confirm if you are seeing the 'Testing Changes Only' button when you respond to the Champions Cup registration news item on the 16th July? I noticed it seemed to happen sometime after a hurt player was recalled from a loan, but not sure if that was just a coincidence or the trigger.
