I'm getting the same - here's a link to my save game file for testing:

I'm using the Samsung Galaxy S10, have also tried holidaying and losing the Champions League Final just to see if it had any impact, however nothing changes.

I had this problem and still have it. Forst few times to get around it was always in june is to resign and holiday past the date it crashes. Then reapply but you have to buy the job applications always accepted unlockable. One season it just kept happening i tried to reinstall no luck. Then i wiped my whole tablet installed the game again and it worked for 3 seasons now its happening again. So im gonna have to do reinstall of tablet again i think. So annoying

Mmm ya I don't think I'll be trying that workaround 😂

Good to know it's an issue that others have too, it's what could also be labelled as a work-stoppage, in that the game is simply unplayable with this.

Hi Harry - any update on this or how soon could we get one? The game is literally unplayable with this issue. I've provided a save game in my earlier post as well as my device and some troubleshooting I've tried.

Hi guys,

Apologies on the late response to this.

Unfortunately @Nessuno we do not officially support your device - we would always advise users to check the device compatibility list linked below before purchasing. Apologies on the inconvenience caused by this. @daherlihy  This is also the case for your device on that list - we unfortunately do not officially support it - again i apologies for the delay on this and that of course this will not be of much use in helping with a fix here at this stage.

No worries Harry. 

Fingers crossed a forthcoming update to the game on the Play Store somehow overcomes the bug and allows us to play again. I was afterall able to purchase and install the game ob my S10 via the Play Store, so it seems to be compatible for sure, although I fully appreciate it isn't "supported"

I tested the game on a supported device and I didn't get the error. 

However I troubleshooted further with new saves on my unsupported device and DIDN'T get the error. 

So it seems that the save game won't work on my unsupported device because it was started before when I updated the game to 21.1.2, whereas any new saves I start since then are fine 😂👍🏻

I fixed it..who has the same problem, enter the settings-environments-in the processing, put a limit of continuous play and click on the box below ..

@ above 2 posters - thanks for adding to this, safe to say that the issue isn't just associated to unsupported devices.

Have you guys tried any save games started SINCE the update?

I've not experienced any crash (yet) on any save started since the update, even on an unsupported device.

Is this in Touch on Android? Can you provide a screenshot showing what you're referring to?

Sorry to say this didn't make any difference for me on my save game with the issue

I believe I've made a breakthrough on this issue – it looks like it’s associated to an overload in scouting assignments being created by my staff (in my save game at least!!)

On my save game which is giving me the crash/bug, the Assignments section had a backlog of scouting assignments by my staff member (who I left as responsible) - it only become apparent to me how big the backlog is when I took back the responsibility and started cancelling the assignments. These were being generated on players from one of my shortlists, which I had ticked the box at the top to keep the reports up to date.

So, here's what I did to troubleshoot this and hopefully act as a workaround:

• In Scouting > Assignments, I changed the Scouting Responsibility from Staff Member to Manager

• I then cancelled all the queued assignments (and there were a LOT of them, much more than the 7 on my screen!)

• I then went to the Scouting > Player Shortlists section and accessed Managed Shortlists through the settings cogwheel on the right

• In the Manage Shortlists window, I removed all my shortlists; maybe only the largest ones need to be removed, but for assurances I removed all of them.

• Back on the Player Shortlist screen, I then unticked the box beside “Keep Scout Reports Up To Date” for whatever playlist is remaining (it might be the default one).

After this, I then progressed in the game through a few days (much further than when I was getting the crash). I even went on holiday for a few months -so far so good. I have since re-loaded my shortlists but kept the box for keeping scout reports updated. Still no issues after progressing a few days further. 

In short, avoid having huge shortlists loaded in your game and the staff asked to keep reports on the players updated all the time as it’ll cause the backlog if they’re responsible for the scouting assignments. Separately I don’t believe there will be an issue loading a large shortlist and asking for a scout report on each player as a one off, like at the start of a save – it would be wise however to delete the shortlist afterwards and refer to the Scouted Players section then for the reports. 

I'm hoping that this is the issue for others who have reported it and that the workaround above works for everyone. If indeed SI verify that this is the issue, perhaps a fix could be put in place to prevent this overload/backlog by staff members? @Harry Dunning

Hi all, new to the Forum.

I have been playing as Colchester and for the first three seasons everything has been fine, but by the fourth season, the game has been crashing on different dates on a number of occasions. Having been reading about the issue I tried @daherlihy's suggestion with removing shortlists and it has worked for the most part, however I have now got the England job alongside Colchester and the game crashes again on the 8th August (am in 2026).

If I resign from England it lets me continue but it's irritating the life out of me! I am using a Samsung Galaxy S5e tab. Any ideas of a work around?

Have you got any shortlist loaded? If you do, just delete it temporarily to see if that gets you post the crash date.

Because your device is a bit older, there may be something much deeper that you'll need to root out in your save game and scale down for your game to continue, much like I did with the scouting assignments.

Hi All i had this problem at the end of my last season updated the game to the latest version successfully completed season now at the end of another season and its crashing again on may 30th is there another fix comming?
