DaPanda Posted December 1, 2020 Share Posted December 1, 2020 I imagine this has been suggested already, but I think allowing full cross-platform play in some form would be amazing for the game. Online play would take off massively if PC/Xbox/Stadia/Switch players could all play against each other, and even more so if the mobile platforms were included too. I guess the issue is that it would be a lot of work for SI to create a 'translation layer' to merge what are essentially different games (I am assuming the mobile match engine is fundamentally different from the full-fat version), and they fear it would cut into sales - but I know a lot of friends would give FM a try if they could play online from their mobile or their existing console platform.
