[FM21][SKIN] Rensie Purple & Dark skins

FM21 Rensie Purple & Dark skins - original posts on fmrensie.net

I decided to take make both Purple and Dark version again. The skin settings are from the Base skins made by michaeltmurrayuk who returned to the SI Forum. That means both skins have the background support thanks to Michael and you can use the player/club/competitions etc. background images. Just reduce/incrase the opacity, as you can see how to do it here.

Before many of you will ask, yes, the skin contains the Instant Result button. It’s here despite I’m not using it and I will take it out of my personal skin. But it’s easier to add it here rather than to face all the questions about it.

The main edits contains player overview/attributes screens, club overview, player popup profile (the one when you hover over the “i” icon) or non-player and your own manager overview. Same as before, the skin contains many small edits and many small tweaks. But four from five people will never notice them. And yes, the tactics screen contains player pictures. And no, there is 0% chance I will add the old suitability circles.

• Player Overview
• Player Attributes
• Player Popup – it was slightly edited for the new version including the kit with the name and number. I know the long/longer names will not fit precisely. Mainly within players who are using the first and second name at the back. You can set the nickname to the player for example.
• Player comparison – edited to have bigger player pictures as in the past.
• Club Profile – vertical & horizontal dividers added to this screen, the club details panel on the left side was edited (improved) by sorting widgets + icons were added.
• Stadium profile
• Home screen with more widgets – same system as in the player profile as you can select your own widgets here.
• Human (your manager) profile
• Non-player profile + popup – edited the height of the staff profile picture to ensure it fits the details panel
• Team/Squad Depth screen made horizontal instead of vertical
• Schedule screen without the white background + fixture details on the right side is wider with the more info
• Past meetings screen improved – the right side width increased, the info is the same as in the schedule screen
• Player pictures in the tactics screen
• Instant result
• Team of the Week pitch in the mailbox size increased – example
• The kits widget size in the national team General/Overview screen increased – example

*If you want to see nations flags in the player overview instead of the nations associations logos, don’t use the association’s logos within your logo packs.

** I didn’t edit the match panels/match in-between highlights panels. As you know, the match UI was changed for the FM21 and it would surely deserve some edit to avoid too many useless rooms of space but I don’t have enough time for it. Be sure to check SI Forum for the possible match screen mods or other skins if someone other will make it.

How to install FM21 Rensie Purple & Dark skins:

• If you’re in the game just quit the game to eliminate crashes or issues with the game.
• Download the .zip archive and unzip it.
• Move the extracted folder “FM21 Rensie Dark” or “FM21 Rensie Purple to your skins folder: Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2021/skins
• Run Football Manager 2021, go to Preferences and select “FM21 Rensie Dark” or “FM21 Rensie Purple” on the Overview screen.

I can't guarantee everything will work the same as with the big/classic resolution but most of the things should work.

is it possible that you can input to the player overview the front and the back of the club kit (like the last years in flut skin)

Hi @Doddo04, no I can't, or maybe better, I don't want. If you want to use the same things as in the Flut skin, you should use the Flut skin.

Same as in the past, I won't make something just because someone wants it. This skin is made mainly just for myself and mainly for my own use. I want to play the game as well when I have the time and not only making something within the skin.

This is the final version and there won't be something more, the only exception is if there would be some critical issue.

If I would want to use things from the skins of someone other, I would 1) use that specific skin or 2) I would include it in my skin from the beginning.

So, no, I won't add something more just because someone asked about it.

@keysi  Nice skin but letting you know a few little issues for far 

1  When mouse hovers over the top options in the  overview profile page the pitch , graph and kits move slightly up and down ( a little distracting )

2  Schedules page filter sometimes does not work properly . Occasionally wont remove the no competition option etc but this seems to be mostly when you first start a game

Thanks you @alian62. I know about that club overview, will test the second thing. If you would want the default schedules, just delete 'fixture details' and 'fixture list panel' in the skin folder/match and reload skin. It will revert back to default look of the Schedule screen.

I was notified of the bug within player development/progress/attributes changes. The solution is simple – go to the skin folder/panels/player and delete “player attribute history” file and reload the skin. I left this file here by mistake.

How can I increase the size of the text and change the font for the shirt name on the player overview? See image, not sure if it's because i'm on Mac but looks different to your images above. It could do with being a bit bigger.

Tried editing a few panels but can't seem to do it.

You can change the size or font in the panels/generic/kit icon.

I'm using default FM numbers within my skin for FM21, no custom numbers.

quick question: there is a form indicator (last 5 games) on the league screen (green, red and grey bars)...could you pls point me how i can include that in the home and competition screens...thanks again...

Can someone tell me which XML is screen is? I tested almost every XML file within the Competition folder, but can't find the right one. I don't want the teamnames be Bold, but just Normal.

I already changed it on other screens, but can't find this one.

Does anyone know how to find and fix this error? The goalkeeper shirts appear to have a transparent outfield player shirt on top of them. You can see this in the tactic, team report and club info pages.

That's not the error but I understand it can be annoying for someone. It's caused by the fact that the default GK kits including overlay are the same as the kits for the outfield players to have the GK shirts in the Player Overview Popup Profile without overlay.

If you will go to the skin folder/graphics/pictures/kits/2D and delete the 'goalkeeper' folder, reload the skin and you will have this GK shirt in default without this overlay. But the GK kit in the popup profile will have that annoying (for me at least) overlay as I was not able to find the solution how to make outfield and gk shirt code work properly.

If you will wait for Thursday's morning, I will have the low resolution skin available to download. It's made for 1366x768 resolution and everything is here with 100% zoom.

You have to download some mini stadium pack and place it to the same directiory as any other graphic addons.

is it normal, that at the player profile i have to change the selector panel at every restart? Have a look at the picture and see what i mean. After restart the "Vergleich" is not there, but the statistic e.g.:

I'm using the Pros/Cons widget here mainly and it doesn't reset. You can always edit the Player Overview and big selector where this part is and delete other widgets than these you won't to have here.

Firstly, thank you for this clean skin which saves lots of unnecessary clicks specially when trying to see the ProCon on a specific player while also showing as much as possible.

I think there is a small bug at the bottom of the manager screen as is not very used anyways. 

Meanwhile, i guess, you can add a biography tab, too when / if really needed (not really)

Hi. This skin is my favourite so far Thanks for a good work! I have two questions about the appearance of the title bar:

1. Is there any way to increase the title font? I've tried to replace title font files in the "fonts" directory and edit title.fontxml file, unfortunatelly without any result. 
2. Is possible to change the colours of title bar? (The background under the names of teams, players, etc.)

So now the titlebar is the same as the team colour, but the colour of the font is white for every team. And I'm playing with a team with a white background, so I can't read the font now.

I searched how the change the colour of the titlebar font, but I just couldn't find it. Somebody here knows where to change it?? 

But beside that, I bloody love your skin! It's absolutely beautiful!

I think that in that same file you have to look for "font="white" and change that to the color that you like or change to "secondary". In that order the titlebar is the primary color of the team and the text became the secondary color of the team.

• Try to use/have only one skin in the skins folder in the documents. The more skins you will have here, there is a bigger chance they will conflict between each other and some parts will reset or they won't work properly.
• Untick the option "Automatically override custom panels?" in Preferences/Interface.
• You can edit player overview panel and player overview big selector panel and delete all widgets you don't want to have here or set some of yours as default by the code.
• Use default skin or some other custom skins
• I just loaded the game for the first time since Friday afternoon and all widgets are the same as I left it.

All can be edited in the settings.xml. And don’t forget you are editing the low resolution skin based on your pictures.
