There are some pretty big clubs after him, and I don't know how long I will be able to keep him at the club if they come in with decent offers. It helped that ADO Den Haag had two players sent of in the first half, but who cares?! We actually played a lot better at the end of December and almost stole a point of Ajax and N.E.C. Aww man. Getting a 3* current ability player when we're in the Eredivisie is nice as well! Hopefully we can get his finishing up quite a bit. Another great good GK prospect. It is still very thight in the bottom of the league, and we're far from safe. We lost against SC Cambuur though, a team we really should have beaten. We had one of the best games of the save when we won 2-1 against Heerenveen. Eric Hall scored his first goal for the club as well! Warg92 Posted December 15, 2020 Author Share Posted December 15, 2020 End of the 2031/2032 Season After the Reynir Hreiðarsson (YP05a) comeback we started to pick up points a lot quicker than we did, and all in all he was the main reason we survived with such a big gap. We conceded the most goals per usual, but only teams that qualified for Europe scored more than us. Yet again I will try to buy Reynir Hreiðarsson (YP05a) so we can get him on a permanent deal. But FC Den Bosch just want too much money at the moment, and they refuse to loan him to us next season. Thankfully we have Eric Hall (YP12a) now, and he should score a decent amount of goals for us next season. Fans' Player of the Season Kevin Versloot (YP09c) was amazing this season, and deserved to win this award. I think this is a first for me, a GK winning PotS. He has a 2.3m release clause in his contract, and there is a possibility that he will leave us. Ajax has been sniffing around for a while now. Managers Player of the Season But I feel like Reynir Hreiðarsson (YP05a) deserved this award just as much. I think we would have struggled to survive without his introduction to the team. And 17 goals in 17 games is a very good achievement for a newly promoted team. He has made the striker position his own for the Iceland national team as well. Squad Benfica offered 2.3m for Kevin Versloot (YP09c), and that is his realease clause, so I was certain that he would leave us, but he rejected the contract offer! The goalkeeper position is the one I'm the least worried about, as we have three very good prospects there! Starting XI GK RB - CB - CB - LB RW - CM - CM - LW ST - ST Better odds for us this season. The only game we lost was a really close game against Feyenoord, but the two games after that one was really nuts. We then played four games without winning before we won the two last games of October. We're in way better position at this time than we were last season! I does not help that we got two players sent of in the first half against Ajax... December started very well, with two wins. Then we had two bad games against FC Twente and Heerenveen. In only one game in 2033 we have scored less than four goals! I february we had or best games of the save against Eredivisie leaders PSV. PSV had just lost one game when we faced them, and we beat them 4-1! Eric Hall (YP12a) and Reynir Hreiðarsson (YP05a) has decent partnership up top for us... Eric hall has already broken the record for the most goals in a season. The last record holder was Coen Dillen, who scored 42 goals in the 1956/1957 season! And we have five games left! Leon Naujoks (YP13a) looks like a decent player, and I would probably have played him at center-back if he was a bit taller. 172cm is just a bit too small to be a center-back in my opinion. Looks like a very good prospect! Only 15 years old as well, and has a good personality, Another one of the players that the youth intake preview highlighted. Should be a good back up striker for us. We scored an incredible 116 goals, 26 more than the next team on the list. We also conceded 79, but who cares!? (I do, but when we play this good with the tactic I'll let it slide) In the end we finished 4th, and we will be playing in the Europa League for the time first ever next season! Eric Hall (YP12a) and Reynir Hreiðarsson (YP05a) scored ridiculous 94 goals between them! PotS No chance that any other player would get tthe PotS award. 54 goals and 9 assists with an average rating of 7.82 say it all really. Best XI 2032/2033 Best Overall XI No major changes here. Warg92 Posted December 19, 2020 Author Share Posted December 19, 2020 Sometimes a player gets a "Media Comparison" to a player that is/was similar to them. This is often a sign of pretty good talent. I decided to take a look at all the players at the club at the moment, to see if we have any players like that. I have posted earlier that the Goalkeeper position is the one where we have the best cover, and it is the position where we have some of the biggest talents as well it turns out! Let's start of with Nicky Lücke (YP12b), the latest to come through the youth intake. Stanley Menzo had a pretty good career. Next up, our current starting GK, Kevin Versloot (YP09c). Hans van Breukelen's career was even better! And finally, Martinus Sugiarto (YP11b), our second best keeper. Not far behind Kevin Versloot. Edwin van der Sar's career was brilliant! I don't know if goalkeepers get a "dubbed/labeled as" easier than other players, but the three players I highlighted in this post is the only players at the club that has these media comparisons. Our starting eleven is very good, but we don't have that many good players on the bench. All of our top rated players are wanted by big teams. Reynir Hreiðarsson (YP05a) has been deadly, scoring 8 goals in the last three games! We were missing five starters in the first game of the season, and winning it 2-1 was brilliant. I thought I had to sell him after next season, to get at least get something for him. But now has signed a new five year deal, with an optional contract extension for three more years! And if someone wants him, they have to pay the 26.5m release clause. Mind you, there is a few big clubs after him, and if they really want him, they will splash the cash. We have struggled after every Europa League game, with a lot of players tired and not fit. This was really the reason we lost against FC Utrecht, as we conceded four goals after the 80th minute. Warg92 Posted December 20, 2020 Author Share Posted December 20, 2020 November/December 2033 We started November with two bad games against NAC Breda and AJax then went on to win 5-1 against Vitesse. Both Reynir Hreiðarsson (YP05a) and Eric Hall (YP12a) struggled with fitness after all the games we played, and had to be rested in a couple of games. Eric Hall (YP12a) even got injuried, and was out for every game after the Feyenoord game. I had to put my trust in Jarni Schipper-Leferink(YP13h), a 16 year old from the last youth intake, and he really delivered more than I expected of him. We go in to the mid-season break 4th. And we're still 4th! Ajax Knocked us out of the Dutch Cup. And Real Madrid did the same in the Europa League. Not really a surprise, was it? No wonder, as our best player at the club, Eric Hall now is considered a Wonderkid! One thing I have noticed is that the players that come in through the youth intake now is 15-16 years old. At the start of the save all of them were 16-17. I don't know if this happened when we turned pro, or if it's when we got the highest possible youth coaching and recruitment. Should be a good backup to our best center-backs. Good personality as well. Another good option at the back, and another good personality.
