Northernpilgrim 387
There was a change in the Boardroom in August but no extra money into the club
Northernpilgrim 387
With games against Man Utd and Tottenham, it's not been an easy start to the season but we'll take 4 points from 4 games, and being out of the relegation zone
Northernpilgrim 387
No more arrivals, but one August departure, as Lawrence leaves on loan, but with an option for a permanent transfer
Northernpilgrim 387
One win from three league games, and a cup win in September and we remain in mid-table, averaging a point a game. However long I am at QPR, it's all about surviving and not hurting my reputation, so I can get a job at a decent Premier League (or other top flight European) club.
Bitner 154
Congratulations on the promotion, and your start wasn't that bad. Cheers, Bitner
Northernpilgrim 387
Our losing run in the league extends to five, but we won in the Carabao Cup and we slip to bottom of the league, but we're only a point from safety. Next month will be crucial
Northernpilgrim 387
We struggled initially in November, but picked up a ridiculous win against Man City, and made it 2 in a row against Bournemouth. And after ending October bottom of the league, we end November outside the bottom three
Northernpilgrim 387
On 1st December I went for an interview. I think they represent a big step up, because although they're in the relegation battle with us, they finished 6th last season, and at the time of the interview, are still in the Europa League

Northernpilgrim 387
Not a bad month in December, but we were well beaten by Leicester and we are still clear of the drop zone
Northernpilgrim 387
Another interview in January
Northernpilgrim 387
I was only in charge for 2 more matches at QPR and leave them outside the relegation zone as I've accepted the job offer from Perugia
Northernpilgrim 387
This is the squad I've inherited and the league table on the day I arrive. A top half finish is the minimum required
Northernpilgrim 387
An unbeaten start to life in Perugia, but it didn't look likely at 0-3 down after 20 minutes at home to Empoli and we're up to 11th
Northernpilgrim 387
No signings in January, but three departures, with many more to come in the summer
Northernpilgrim 387
Three wins out of four in February and we're closing in on the playoffs, and just 7 points off automatic promotion
Northernpilgrim 387
Unbeaten in March too and we're up to 6th, in what should be a playoff place (there are weird rules in Serie B about the points gap between teams, so the playoffs aren't guaranteed, but it's certainly looking good) with 7 games to go.
Northernpilgrim 387
Not a bad intake, and I'm offering the top 5 players contracts
Northernpilgrim 387
We went through April unbeaten and although draws against the top two are decent results, they mean we can not now realistically get second, so our focus is on going into the playoffs in good form
Northernpilgrim 387
Not a great end to the season but enough to finish 5th and grab a playoff spot. I don't expect to get promoted though
Northernpilgrim 387
Not quite sure how we didn't win this in normal time, but the 3-0 scoreline didn't flatter us
Northernpilgrim 387
Our opponents in the two legged semi-final would be Ascoli, and the first leg was at home. Is it all over after the first leg?
Northernpilgrim 387
We won the second leg as well, and are in the Final
Northernpilgrim 387
We face Spezia in the two-legged final, with the first leg at home, and we have it all to do in the second leg after Spezia came from behind to win
Northernpilgrim 387
We did manage to score first in the second leg to level the tie, but we couldn't hold on. Spezia go up instead of us

Northernpilgrim 387
Before the end of June, I was offered an interview. This is the sort of job I could imagine staying in a long time to build something big

Northernpilgrim 387
Eight players were released at the end of their contracts
Northernpilgrim 387
Four signings, and a host of departures Esposito is a winger Schendelaar is a goalkeeper Schlosser is a right back and Houelche is a young defensive midfielder
Northernpilgrim 387
This is my squad on the eve of our first league game, although there are two incoming transfers under negotiation, and one further departure
Northernpilgrim 387
The season started with a bitterly disappointing defeat in the Coppa Italia to a Reggiana side that, whilst they used to be a Serie A and B team, have spent the last three seasons in Serie C (Lega Pro). Our response was to win our opening three league games, without conceding a goal and that sees us top of the table. Udinese were relegated from Serie A at the end of last season, and began this season as favourites for the Serie B title. By contrast, we are predicted to finish 8th. Hopefully we can make the most of a strong start
Northernpilgrim 387
Two more arrivals, two more departures (with one more departure under negotiation), as Eugenio D'Ursi is pondering a loan move to Vibonese Toscano is a defensive midfielder as is Liberti, who I only signed because Houelche insisted on being loaned out for first team football in the contract negotiations to sign him, whereas I'd hoped to use him as a substitute. Hopefully he'll improve enough while he's away that he'll be trying to take a starting place from Toscano or Liberti, who isn't a bad defensive midfield option
Northernpilgrim 387
Only two wins from four in September which was enough to end it top of the table, but Frosinone and Salernitana can both overtake us by winning their game in hand
Northernpilgrim 387
Only two wins from 4 in October but we absolutely battered Ascoli, who didn't even have a shot, never mind a shot on target although a draw with Salernitana was a fair result and one that kept us top of the table
Northernpilgrim 387
November looks like a horror show but we shouldn't have lost at Brescia Or Crotone which has seen us fall out of the automatic promotion places
Northernpilgrim 387
The poor results continued through December Empoli somehow got a point despite our domination Lecce deserved the draw, but we should be beating 10 men The Venezia game should have been 0-0, we were both awful Frosinone were very fortunate to get anything, we were much better than them, the xG only converging to anything like close after they had already equalised Triestina was the game we finally broke the winless run, and deserved it but that has seen us fall way off the pace. It's looking like the playoffs at best
Northernpilgrim 387
Two more defeats continued the run in a miserable January and we're way off the pace now
Northernpilgrim 387
Fingers crossed, I might not be Perugia manager much longer
Northernpilgrim 387
This is the squad I've inherited. I joined the day the transfer window shut, so there won't be any signings and the league table shows that an immediate upturn in fortunes is needed, with mid-table the board target
kingjericho 353
Good luck in your first 'big' job. Lazio start the game as title contenders, they seem to have dropped off a bit but you should be able to aim for top 4 soon.
