What leagues do you start with on game set-up?

I'm looking to start a new game on FM21 and was wondering what leagues do people start with? Secondly how much of an impact does playable vs view? Finally what size database do people aim for. 

I know a lot of this is dependent, I'm just looking for general views.

All leagues, large database and all international players and players from clubs in continental competitions retained for me.

If I know which league I'm starting in, as it will be the lowest selectable league, I will often retain players from the league below too. Want the maximum choice available, want each game to lead to different possibilities 👍

Every nation, majority of leagues on a custom DB with a load of extra players loaded in.  I know on FM20 I got to about year 2035 ish with this setup and it still processed days and fixtures like a breeze

 

I have another game setup saved which I think is 89 leagues, too

Depends largely on what kind of system you're using. If your using an old or slower PC then just load up the main leagues, if not you can load up a much larger database. There's plenty of threads with recommendations already on here.
