dafuge
Southern Softies - January Hampton & Richmond 0-2 Braintree Two early goals set up an easy win with the penalty miss turning out to be irrelevant. Braintree 3-1 Newport County A very confident display, we looked really goo during this game. Braintree 1-1 Hayes & Yeading A highly frustrating game as we dominated the match and they scored with their only shot on target. Braintree 3-1 Merthyr A great relief after going a goal down. Braintree 2-0 Welling A great win in a match we dominated. Dorchester 0-3 Braintree It took a while to break them down but in the end it was a comfortable victory. The next game is massive as Basingstoke are one of the teams at the top challenging for the title. Braintree 2-0 Basingstoke A fantastic win which has done wonders for our title hopes. League Table A great month has put us in a decent position. Squad Pierre is out for a month which is a blow but McKeown should be returning next month. Thys Daniels We were a bit short for backup central defenders and he looked like a decent signing.

dafuge
Southern Softies - February Havant & W 0-1 Braintree A massive result, this was a crucial win. Braintree 3-0 Horsham Great to see McKeown back in the team again. Thurrock 0-1 Braintree This was supposed to be an easy win, it turned out to be a tough game which we just about won. Bath 1-2 Braintree Another really important result where McKeown delivered the goods once again. Braintree 1-0 Maidenhead A great victory in what was a dull game. League Table Back where we belong. Squad Powell has been immense this month.

canvey!!
ssestig, I would advise you take a look in the T&T forum. Unfortunately it seems promotion is out of the question which means we can't do it before the Softies (no one can deny them this season - dafuge you are a madman!) but a season's ambitions change as you go and a top-half position will be good. What did the board offer as a minimum expectation and what did you say you would achieve? Stick with it though, don't do a roberto .
Lower Leagues Rule
Brilliant work Mr Dafuge, I can see that promotion should be ours..Sofites all the way
dafuge
Southern Softies - March Maidstone 1-1 Braintree A frustrating game where they scored from their only shot on target all game. At least we got the draw. Braintree 2-0 Weston-super-Mare Simple enough in another dominant display. Lewes 1-2 Braintree We were lucky to get the win here in an even match. Braintree 1-1 Bishop's Stortford Another frustrating draw as we dominated the match but couldn't quite secure the win. Sutton Utd 2-3 Braintree Finally we recorded a win against Sutton. Braintree 2-0 Bedford We left it late but we finally calmed the nerves witha 2-0 win. League Table We've secured a playoff spot but I won't be happy until we have the title. Forest Green seem to be putting up an amazing challenge. Squad Powell is out for a couple of weeks which is a shame but Mckeown and Crowe are good enough to make up for his absence. Rob Smith We have been poor in thie position all season so I thought it was about time I signed someone decent to take that position.
CoachFlu
Great work, dafuge! 6 points clear at the end of February means it's looking very good! I'd make an even more pronounced statement, but I don't want to jinx it. Edit: 5 points clear at the end of March. Above statement still applies. dafuge
Southern Softies - April/May Ashford (Middx) 1-3 Braintree A comfortable win which we tried our hardest to throw away. Our next game could turn out to be the title decider as we meet title challengers Forest Green at home. Braintree 2-1 Forest Green There a few fitness worries so it wasn't our strongest team but they just about did enough to prove we were the best team in the league. Newport Co 0-2 Braintree This was a flattering scoreline but Powell did the job. Merthyr 1-1 Braintree We left it very late to claim a lucky draw. Braintree 3-0 Hampton & Richmond Another great display from our strikers in the match which secured the BSS title fo the Softies. Braintree 0-0 Chelmsford Dull. Hayes & Yeading 1-2 Braintree A narrow victory in a match that meant little. League Table League Positions Graph In the end the league was won easily, it just took a bit of time for the squad to settle in. Squad I honestly think that this squad is good enough to play in League 2, so there shouldn't be any need for any new signings next season unless the formation requires them. If quality players turn up, sign them, but don't worry too much about strengthening the squad. I really think that this squad is good enough to mount a title challenge next season so the priority should be to make a bit of money. If a huge bid comes in for one of the players, accept it, there's plenty of good free players available. The starting eleven I finished the season with were all signed during this season, screenshots can be found throughout the season updates. CoachFlu
Hurray! The Softies are clearly a much better team than those Northern Monkeyfaces. Great season, dafuge. One step closer to winning the Champions League!
NepentheZ
Good season daf. You cheat, though. You've always over achieved in this thread, subconsciously trying to compensate for Roberts inferiority to Wallace in the world that is FM. At least, thats my story, and I'm sticking to it. dafuge
I'll download the save now, what would you liek me to post - ssigning and pre-season updates, best elevens? Screenshots of new signings would be great, along with the usual stuff like results and league tables. I'm going to be interested to see if the assistant changes his opinion on the squad when they get promoted, in my season he thought they were all League 1 or 2 standard. Benjaminoo
Is it alright if I let the assistant take charge of friendlies - my game is going slow enough as it is atm, so I want to get to the start of the season as soon as I can.

Benjaminoo
Turn of Season Information Not quite into pre-season yet, but just passed the turnover. Mr Roberts has been linked to a number of jobs including the MK Dons and Bournemouth posts. Mr Roberts was also offered the MK Dons job, which he politely declined. There's a record high for Braintree, finishing first in the BSS. Mr Roberts has won Manager Of The Season. Braintree have announced a new kit sponsorship and as you can see, it's very lucrative. not. Wayne Powell was voted Player of the Year This was our most promising player to come through the ranks this year, and yes, he's not very good - and nor are the others. Here are the Best Elevens: Season Overall There have been no signings as of yet, but I will keep you informed with anything interesting that has happened. And dafuge - most of the coach reports are the same as last year - leading League 2/good League 1.

Benjaminoo
Yeah, because our finances were 100k in the red and I just thought it would help if we got a few players out for a bit of money, and make the wage bill lower too because it was about 2k over the limit. Benjaminoo
I'll do this update now as I haven't got time to do the rest of August for now. Braintree 1-1 Oxford 11.08.2012 - BSP Overview + Match Stats Probably should of won it, a draw is a decent result though. Ebbsfleet 2-1 Braintree 14.08.2012 - BSP Overview + Match Stats It's a shame we lost after being 1-0 up, Ebbsfleet one of the favourites to go up though iirc. Braintree 3-2 Kiddiminster 18.08.2012 - BSP Overview + Match Stats First win of the season, let's build upon it now.

canvey!!
Chris Walker was on loan with me (AFAIK Paul didn't have him) Struggling for form, there, I see. I know how you feel. How are you getting on in the tactics front? Are you dominating matches but not winning? Have you looked at Dave's (or whoever's) scout report before the match and played a tactic accordingly? I'm surprised that Ingram got a MOM, he played quite poorly for me, although I didn't give him a second chance. It's also nice to see Clements and Stokes getting MOM awards. It seems the defenders are playing well, along with the wingers. Clements is having a good season, especially in comparison... Where are you in the league at the moment? Stick with it, ssestig . ssestig
Managers thoughts: Very happy with the final finishing position of 12th bearing in mind that we were struggling for most of the season. Chris Walker was the catalyst for the upturn in form scoring 12 after joining in February on a free. He wouldn't be top scorer for us however as Karl Nash finished with 16 overall. Managerial achievements: March M.O.T.M. April M.O.T.M. Other key players: Ryan Clements Stephen Stokes Tom Watson Save game Can I be added to the list at the end please.
canvey!!
Hooray, an excellent two months! Stokes and Walker are doing rather well, and Clements is still consistent in his form. That saved the season, really. 12th is a really good rescue, there. Chris Walker was obviously a good purchase. That is what Ten Ton do, loan players in and buy them the next season.
