Tough Start

After 12 games, we sit 6th on 21 points, after a very tough start. We secured Champions League football against all odds in our last two campaigns, and it is going to be a struggle all the way till the end again.

We are also in the Carabao Cup quarters after our second 11 eliminated Bournemouth and Watford in the Third and Fourth rounds respectively.

Champions League has been a struggle though, and I made it tougher by excluding our Premier League first eleven from our European match day squads entirely, to keep them fresh in the league. This decision was made as we were never going to be near good enough to win the Champions League, and the league is our top priority. Let's hope we can at least secure Europa League football in the last two group fixtures.

Injury-plagued season

We dropped out of Europe after an injury-plagued season :( We lost our leader in defence for the entire second half of our campaign and that cost us numerous points, resulting in our 7th place finish at the end.

We entered the Europa League Knockout stages after finishing 3rd in our Champions League group, and we were drawn against two good German sides, where we managed to beat one but got eliminated eventually by a decent Bayer 04 Leverkusen side.

We had a decent run in the FA Cup, progressing all the way till the semis where a very strong Liverpool side halted our journey.

Moments to remember!

The finances!

The best eleven!

The accolades!

Summer Signings

We fell out of the Champions League places because we suffered a key injury in our defence, without capable enough cover. I was so surprised to find a central defender of Kristoffer's quality on the market and we wasted no time to bring him in. He will add some much needed quality to our central defence, and hopefully push us back into the European places.

We are planning to let Mitrovic leave this summer as he is in the last year of his contract. Jan was brought in to plug the hole left behind by the Serbian's departure, and hopefully add more goals to the team in the upcoming campaign.

Bazoer's game declined earlier than I expected and by the end of last season, he was no longer good enough for the Premier League. Elisha was brought in for 10.5 million pounds to replace the Dutchman as our second-choice holding midfielder.

Like Mitrovic, Pope had no time left on his contract and we didn't take up the option to sign him up as he was already 33. The Englishman left for Celtic and we brought in Marcus as his replacement.

The most exciting signing of the summer came in for absolutely nothing! Shakhtar agreed to let him leave on a free and we moved in ahead of the other big clubs to sign him up, as Ryan Gauld turned 30 this year. This is potentially the best signing of my tenure so far, and I'm looking forward to watch him strut his stuff at Hillsborough \o/

Good Start

We were handed a decent set of fixtures at the start and the boys took full advantage by bagging all 15 points in a very good start to the season.

We will enjoy the view from here while it lasts :D

The Europa League groups have been drawn too and we were handed a tricky group.

Hanging on to top spot..

We are still top! The lads have had an unbelievable start and we somehow find ourselves in this position after 13 games. I foresee us dropping down soon as we are starting to drop points, but we will enjoy while it lasts!

We were knocked out of the Carabao Cup real early by Man City but the second string did so well in the Europa League, winning all four group games thus far..

..and we have qualified! \o/

No longer top..

Unsurprisingly, we are no longer top as Liverpool went on a crazy run to leapfrog us into first position. It is slightly disappointing but I had to remind myself that we were not expected to be this high in the table. We will keep fighting to finish as high up the table as we can.

We had a decent December, losing only one game but that was the most important one (against Liverpool). Lady Luck was not on our side as we lost our first-choice holding midfielder and central defender to suspension and injury respectively for the game of our season so far. On the bright side, we managed to top our Europa League group after winning 5 and losing one of our group fixtures.

Camavinga has been the star for the first half of our campaign, bagging twice and creating a further six in 19 starts from central midfield. However, we may be losing him as he has a release clause and Real Madrid has expressed interest. He is also refusing to sign a new contract :(

Europa League Winners!

We weren't among the favourites for this competition but the boys did so well to lift the trophy eventually. Our first real piece of silverware too :**)

Liverpool was just too good in the end :( We managed to stay within touchable distance all the way but fell short in the end, finishing runners-up on 87 points. It was still incredible achievement from the lads nonetheless as we were only tipped to finish 7th.

Liverpool again!

We got the worst draw possible and our second string failed to surprise anyone in a 0-2 defeat.

Moments to remember!

The finances!

The Europa League winners :D

It was an awards-filled campaign for us. Adam won the Europa League Player of the Season, Alena won the Premier League Player of the Year awards, Altay bagged himself the Golden Glove, and Fandi even won the Manager of the Year award! Smiles all around \o/

That's a very good season.

Cheers mate! Finishing 3 points behind Liverpool left me thinking about what could have been but we had to be pleased about our over-achievement. Thankfully, we also had the Europa League to celebrate about at the end!

Summer Signings 2026

I think we found our number 9 for the next ten years! Manuel is a good finisher, has fantastic movement, and has the potential to score loads of goals for us. However, he is slightly injury-prone and we will have to manage his training workload and game time carefully.

This summer has a sour feeling to it as we let our vice-captain (Dominic Iorfa) sign for Celtic. The right-back had been with us since the start and with his contract running out and him on the wrong side of this thirties, we had no choice but to let him go. Mert comes in to replace his void in the squad.

Diego comes in to replace the outgoing Mavropanos, who had one year left on his contract and we chose to let him join Atalanta for 11.75 million pounds. Almeida is a decent all-rounded center half from the Barcelona youth academy and he will provide quality depth to our central defence in the next few seasons.

We still had money in the bank and simply couldn't reject the chance to sign a player of Florentino's quality when he became available on the market. He is a monstrous tackler and is mentally perfect to play in the midfield holding role for us. He will add some much needed Champions League quality to our squad this campaign.

..and we have rejected the national job offers to focus fully on taking Sheffield Wednesday to the top \o/

Hey fellow Singaporean! Love this save.

Have you thought of taking up both club and country duties? Just a thought. Its what I do on my save. Be cool to see Fandi win the world cup!

Side note, anyone wanna have a shot at creating an online s league save? Or an online save? Helps that we're in the same time zone!

Hey mate! Great to see a fellow countryman here :D I used to take up both club and country duties a couple of FM versions ago, but I began to strive to be as realistic as possible and I don't think managers take up both jobs in real life! Fandi will definitely take up an international job later in his career though!

I don't mind a draft save! I may not have enough time for a long-term online league save but I'm good with a draft! What are your playing hours like?

Squeaky bum time..

We find ourselves in an incredible position in the league, winning 16, drawing 5 and losing 2 after 23 games to sit top on 53 points. I'm still not convinced we can do it though.. can we?

We are out of the Carabao Cup after our second string lost 1-2 to Man United in the quarters at Old Trafford.

It was nice to finally get some luck in those cup draws, as we drew lower league opponents in all three rounds of our FA Cup run so far. Oxford will be our next hurdle in the fifth round.

We did so well in the Champions League group stages, winning 5 and losing 1 to finish top.. and what do we get in return? Paris f****** SG. Looking on the bright side, at least we can focus on the domestic competitions after the First Knockout Round :(

We have done it!!! Having led the table for huge chunks of the campaign, the boys managed to keep their cool during the final stretch and we emerged Champions :**)

The lads also defied all odds to reach the Champions League Final, only to be undone by injuries :( We had our first-choice right-back, left-back and left-winger missing and Liverpool took full advantage down our flanks to beat us 2-1. We will keep trying!

We were eliminated during the FA Cup Quarter Final after a narrow 0-1 extra-time defeat against Man City.

Our league-winning heroes!

It is also a good time to look at our all-time best eleven \o/

Summer Transfers 2027

We needed a third striker in our squad and Hugo is perfect for the role. He was available on a cut-price and with his decent potential, it made our decision to sign him a tad easier. Let's hope he can add to our goals tally in the upcoming campaign \o/

We needed to strengthen in central defence this summer as Edmundson is in his thirties, and I decided to splash the cash to sign an Italian center-back of the highest calibre. Davide has all the qualities you need in a center half to succeed at the highest level, and he will definitely add steel to our backline this season.

Darko is the signing which excites me the most this summer. The Croatian is incredibly all-rounded for someone his age and with time on his side, he can go all the way to the top if he can avoid injuries. He will add so much creativity down our right flank this year and I'm sure the fans will enjoy watching him strut his stuff at Hillsborough  :brock:
