As you may have already seen the Football Manager 2021 Early Access Beta is out now. If you've not, click that link and read all the relevant information before posting anything here (like the Known Issues and Notes list). Please! 

Before you dive in and tell us your feelings about the game, just a few things to bear in mind:

• Please try to keep any feedback constructive. Help us to help you by giving details. 
• Respect other opinions. We don't expect you to agree with everyone, but take the time to read and respect their position.
• Let everyone have their say. Again you don't have to agree with them, or even have to engage with them. 
• Please take Tactical Discussion elsewhere. In the past with these types of threads we've seen a lot of posts focus on the tactical side of the game and whilst this is interesting, it's much more appropriate discussion for our Tactics, Training and Strategies Discussion.

As a final point remember that if you do experience defeats and disappointments whilst playing FM, just think, for every losing manager there's one that's winning. So there's probably a little AI manager out there having a whale of a time...

The ME sucks, it's a reskin of FM20, there's no *insert obscure league here*, there's a minor graphical glitch at this one menu nobody uses, geez what a waste of money.

Yes and no. It’s a beta of the full game

but no extra leagues until the editor comes out on the 24th

Can't play the Beta. Using macOS Catalina and I get this error as soon as I launch the game from Steam.

Known error. This is how you fix it:

- Users on Mac may get false positive malware error message when first launching can be fixed by following the instructions here - https://support.sega.co.uk/hc/en-gb/articles/360015206697-I-ve-received-an-anti-virus-or-malware-warning-when-trying-to-run-FM

It seems like FM thinks my screen is longer than it is. If i try to click a button low on the screen, i have to hold my mouse a few sentimeters over the button.

You need to choose your advertising settings, click either yes or no, it will then let you proceed.

Very early impressions. The skin and UI looks great, and game seems very fast and smooth.

There's an option to make lower leagues view only with the higher leagues being playable????

Immediate 10/10. Thank you SO much. The game also seems as fast, if not faster than FM20, which is ALSO a godsend. Awesome.

Is there any way to change the display preferences to get rid of the white box around news items? 

I remember this initially being in last year, and everyone including myself asked for it to be changed, and it duly was. So I'm surprised to see it back. If you have light sensitive eyes in any way you can't look at it.

Hmm... then you need to post a bug report in the bugs section. Had just read the know errors, so thought I'd try to help out.

5 star for graphics it says, that's amazing as FM20 only got one star. Have they finally fixed the Nvidia problem?

Wow the game feels so smooth and polished. The new UI is fantastic.

I think the star ratings for role suitability are going to get confusing with star ratings for coach/scout reports. You could have a 1 star player who is 5 stars for being a poacher for example. I'd have preferred a separate icon, whether it was the circles or something new. 

 

EDIT - Having looked through a few players, not sure that's how it's working.
