[Africa] Data Issues

Recommended Posts

Please post any data issues related to any non-represented country in Africa here.

As much of the data is subjective we’d ask that you respect everyone’s opinion and accept that the final decision is that of our club researchers and our heads of research.

We also request you please adhere to the following three point plan when posting in the data topics:

·        State what you think is specifically wrong with a particular piece of data.

·        State what you think the data should be.

·        State reasons/proof for your suggested corrections/improvements.

Please note that any non-data issues for Africa should be posted in the appropriate thread within the League Specific Issues forum. This would include issues such as league scheduling, league table sorting rules and match rules.

Hi, I would like to notify the presence of bugs at the level of player positions in certain teams, for example JS Kabylie which is an Algerian team, Oussama Benbout is a defender while he is a goalkeeper.

Would it be possible to change that and make the teams more realistic than ever even if they are not playable this has an impact when making a career as a national team manager

Thanks

Hello,

I'd like to notify a missing club in Madagascar in lower division:

Club: Kintana FC

Stadium: Kintana Stadium

City: Ambohimanga Rova

Capacity: 500 places

President founder: Lovaniriana RAMISAMANANA

Since COSPN is in the game, and there are in the same division as Kintana FC, i guess Kintana could also be in the game

Here's the facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/kintanafootballclub

Thank you for your help !

@RhinoDjazair i am sure it will be appreciated, if you can add in this forum all the players you have spotted in a short post (that would be much better than, i have seen many players and providing only one example). This would increase the chance, to have this changes done for the final game or an upcoming update. what would be needed: first name, last name, ID would be perfect, and a proven source.

Anas Nanah - ID 13222360 (Morocco & Academie Mohammed V1)

This player is a promising (youth international) left-back with attributes that should be weighted to that rather than striker (the video might help pick strengths and weaknesses).

He is left-footed (left foot only).

Thanks.

El Mehdi Maouhoub - ID 13222173 (Morocco & FUS Rabat)

This player is a forward not central defender. Links or videos as confirmation are not so easy to find but maybe these would be enough?

Thanks if you agree.

Unless it's my database (but do have all African players loaded) it appears that Kelvin John (Tanzania) needs creating?

He is regarded as the most promising young player of Tanzania, and was featured in the 2020 Next Generation series as listed below. Thanks if he can be added.

Full name: Kelvin Pius John (common name Kelvin John)

DOB: 10 June 2003

Place of Birth: Morogoro (Tanzania)

Nationality: Tanzanian (capped at Youth level U17 and U20)

Height: 1.79 metres

Position: Striker

Club Status: Maybe he can be set as a free agent? He is currently at Brooke House College (Football Academy) in Leicester, England but they won't be in the database

Favoured Personnel: Mbwana Samatta (idol or friend)

Featured in 2020 Next Generation list as below:

https://www.theguardian.com/football/ng-interactive/2020/oct/08/next-generation-2020-60-of-the-best-young-talents-in-world-football

"It is quite rare for a player to feature in the Guardian's Next Generation series without being signed to a professional football club, yet Kelvin John is an important exception. The versatile attacking player dubbed the “Tanzanian Mbappé” has been raising eyebrows for a couple of years and is widely regarded as one of Africa's more eye-catching talents. As a 15-year-old at the 2019 Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations, he impressed so much that the former coach of the Tanzanian national team, Emmanuel Amuneke, included him in the Taifa Stars' Afcon provisional squad later that year. John left Tanzania last year and moved to England, where he is attending Brooke House College in Leicestershire and where he is expected to remain until he turns 18 years of age and is legally able to sign for a European club. Due to his close ties with Mbwana Samatta and a series of successful trials at Genk, many believe the Belgian club, where Samatta started his own European journey, will be his next home".

The below 2020 article and others I have seen suggests he will join Genk in the future (suggest maybe set as preference to play for them). It also references his friendship with Mbwana Samatta.

https://www.thecitizen.co.tz/tanzania/news/sports/european-football-beckons-for-tanzanian-teenager-kelvin-john-2701856

Another  article in 2019 also talks about his 'successful trial' at Genk that year, but there has not been any official announcement so it can only be set as a future preference.

The below is in Swahili but shows evidence of his trial at Genk

I don't have Instagram but the below says it includes a bio in video.
