Hi, i found a problem in MLS. With every single team i found myself over the salary cap by the millions, even with the squad they have in real life, that it's obviously not over the cap. It needs fixing. Thanks

You have to use the GAM/transfer budget to buy it down, and remember that the game will start with a full squad, when some of those guys would only have been on the roster a month or two (IE tiny cap hit).  So comparing what happened in the 2020 season doesn't translate directly to 2021.  Hopefully you understand what I'm saying.

In previous versions the rosters were compliant because they came out late in the year but the game started early.  FM21 starts in December 2020, so it doesn't work the same this year.

Hey, i've got another question, is there going to be a superdraft in the 2021 season? because i keep getting this messages saying what players the teams might select but i cant find the date in the calendar. There's only de 2022 superdraft, and i've still got the 2021 picks to trade

When I start a new career in any european country around June/July 2020 and I include MLS database, there is no fixture for 2020.. Season 2021 is already starting but they start late February.

 

On the other hand when you include South Korea to your database they are already playing their 2020 season.

 

Is there any bug or did I something wrong when setting up the database and the single leagues?

Started a save, holidayed to the end of April so the MLS season has only been going a couple months. As you can see, the same old issue of greyed out players in the MLS is still in the game. This issue was raised time and time again last year and it's really disheartening to see that it has not been addressed. Also, there is no screenshot, but Austin FC have 3 registered players. Is there not an Expansion Draft when they join the league??

But to answer your question, there are no 2020 fixtures for MLS.  You start MLS at the earliest on Dec 14th 2020.  This is by design (per MLS basically).

If you join the available managerial job at MLS debutants Charlotte FC, and have chosen start dates for a league such as England, where the MLS doesn't begin until 2021 as a result... You're given a Wage Budget of £2,326 per week, and £400K per week next season, but are told in the Club Vision to "prepare the club for joining the MLS" by the end of the current season, which typically means to buy MLS-quality Players for the start of the next season and get them into Match Fitness and Sharpness with a slew of friendlies... Although, I can't do either of those things, and will enter the MLS unprepared. It'd make more sense for that wage budget to be available now, rather than later.

Nashville only start with 2 Designated Player slots but should have 3. The third slot I believe is currently used on Jhondor Cadiz in real life but he has a "Senior" contract in game due to him being on loan. The lack of 3rd DP slot will be a big detriment to the club going forward.

Could you add Kamron Habibullah, Nathan Demian, Emiliano Brienza, Frixos Petsas (Vancouver Whitecaps FC) Matthew Catavolo, Sean Rea, Benjamin Collins (Montreal Impact) Eleias Himaras, Rohan Goulbourne, Kobe Franklin and DeAndre Kerr (Toronto FC).
These are top youngsters for their countries (Mostly Canada, but there are few exceptions), are being called up for youth teams, most of them took part in the U19 World Cup in 2019. They are all missing from the database.

This is already fixed.  Beta is a bit behind.  It's due to loan DP's requiring a special line to be added in the USA.edt file which wasn't completed prior to the public beta.

Loans already fixed ahead of release.

Kizza is due to return from his loan on 12/31 in the DB, which while > than now, it's not going to impact the game because the game starts after the conclusion of the 2020 MLS season.  Still, I'll see if I can have the date changed - it was already requested but hasn't been processed yet.

In my save, he's listed as the Assistant Manager, a position he's held since the start of the game, apparently. The starting manager of the NYRB in FM21, is apparently Tony Jouaux.

While I don't expect all of his past injuries to be in here, he is just returning from an ACL Rupture that kept him out of most of the 2020 season. As a result, I think he's also probably over valued at $4.3 million at the beginning of a save. While I know Transfermarkt isn't gospel, they only have him at $3.3 million.

INJ was added after the beta.  Double-checking though, I noticed I had omitted the INJ type, so that just got submitted.

At least prior to the season, MLS registration shows only being able to register 12 players. This is a bug as I don't believe there is any limit to the number of domestic players that can be registered in MLS.

Also the training ground is no longer Xavier University Complex but the club moved to a new complex called the Mercy Health Training Center FC Cincinnati Academy also play here it has 500 seats.  The club own the training center.

Where does it say he's from London?  IOM falls under England in the DB.  He didn't have Douglas assigned as City of Birth, but I've added that.  I was aware he was from there - I'm 1/8th Manx myself actually and spent my summers there as a kid and my grandparents house.

The public beta didn't have the final usa.edt (for future moves) this was corrected a few weeks ago ahead of release.  I'll look into the training stuff, cheers.
