Season 7 (2026) IK Start Transfer Update

We were given £2.5m to spend on new players and I've spent just £600k on improvements.

Lauridsen joins as third choice CB but wants to be loaned out this season. Christiansen is a new CM that will be first choice but can be a make shift ST. Cela was highly recommended by my scouts and at £80k could be a good investment at just 18 years old. Koumetio will be first choice at CB alongside Ross, he spent last season on loan at Brondby and joins for free from Liverpool. Fofana is another striker, importantly a home-grown option. Petersen will be first choice GK this season despite Dakir doing ok last season, this guy is another level up, bargain price from league rivals Molde. Tangen was a big buy from relegated Viking but he can play all across the attacking midfield area, preferably AML though.

These signings have seen us rise up the predicted table from 15th to 11th.

ba2b9ed00179366e53818a09ce88b776.png

And the bookies think that my striker Aga is the best bet for top goal scorer this season.

Yeah, I liked him, (especially because he was a product of our Academy), but we have so much depth up front that it made sense to move him on for that money.

I don't know what the record is for a Danish sale to an overseas club.

These are all the strikers at the club sorted by PA.

4c1da60eb1498426e20b5fb030945c6b.png

(28a) Østergaard 6'5" was only 4.5 PA when he came through I think. He's interesting because of his height. He will hopefully offer something a little different.

9ba738537e824920037fb98564341c78.png

Juel is a left winger.

Finn Skytte * has been out on loan at OB, but only scored 7 goals this season so still not the finished article. In any case I will be sending him back to OB for another season hopefully.

c896f8ca13f2b5bb96df87e717071064.png

Ronni Brodersen was signed for only £75, (which seems ridiculous).

aab6f97d8e3c6a9f582afb8f5a4339c0.png

(27a) Boilesen is a midfielder.

Hansen HG * has started slowly but will be giving a proper run in the side this season.

3ba1f0d21bc7a60e21ea7c3df64aeeb6.png

Eriksen is a goal-scoring machine. He's scored 139 goals for us in just 134(3) games. He is averaging at better than a goal a game over 4 seasons.

32ec16fdc66c51da918c373a5b700352.png

Øglænd 6'3" is a player I really like the look of, and importantly he's a big man who doesn't have the "plays with back to goal" PPM.

f8fa5d5bb74ba3a43b125a511d4a6b9a.png

(26c) Mouritsen 6'3" is a midfielder.

Olsen is one that I'm not sure about. He is going to have to do well this season or risk being sold next year.

80e52eb5566a07b7f384c026e4b405f3.png

Thomsen 6'4" * looks great to me to play as a foil to Eriksen, but it's just not working for him for some reason. Maybe it's the "back to goal" PPM?

c1dfd2d970bbe72d205bfce16f0e0765.png

Kaqiu (KVX) MR is a winger.

(29d) Mogensen is a...... well I'm not completely sure what he is, but he isn't as striker.

(28c) Petersen looks pretty raw, but he's also come through so young that we have more time to develop him.

b404cab250d89295bff41b80964166e2.png

Christian Bonde intrigues me. I love a good balance attribute in strikers and I think with a little work he could develop rather nicely.

6c6acc30299195b17758348049f854ae.png

Tranberg has stagnated a little and I'm not sure he's going to make it at the top level. I keep looking at his 5x U21 Caps and wonder what he showed that was better than some of the other brilliant options of the same age. I think I want to loan him out, but nobody was interested last season.

afb880cae36575e4c1ba64be155a8ce6.png

Mikkel Iversen is a player I really like the look of. He's another lefty, (we have quite a few), but I think if I can just improve him a little he coule be very good.

f71abfd1e52897ec9e0aa76a24c04ba8.png

The problem with all these strikers is that they are young and inexperienced and I have just cashed in on Kvistgaarden. I think that we have to accept that though as a fact of life because we need to generate cash even with our relatively successful runs in Europe. Until we are in the Champions League on a regular basis, we need to be a selling club. I plan on keeping 4 strikers at the club who will rotate in pairs and everyone who is too old to play for the U19's will go out on loan for competitive football. I just have to decide who I'm keeping.

Question to all. Which 3 would you keep with Eriksen

Personally I like Brodersen and Ostegaard, but I feel it's often a good approach to keep the best potential players and see which ones perform and loan out the slightly older, lower potential players. One of the youngsters could definitely end up forging a key partnership with Eriksen!

Nice season, you are making it a habit of winning the cup!

Thanks, it's now a hat-trick of cups for Saga :D

Very nice win. :applause:

It took us 12 games in this save to beat them, and I took over on 11th Jun 2024, so I lost the 1st away game and then won the first 2 home games. I did lose 6 consecutive games against them though.

We're starting to get there and we've won 2 and drawn 1 of the last 4 games and the game we lost was when I played the kids and we still scored twice against them. Certainly reasons for optimism despite their ridiculous squad. The sooner that someone buys Mo Daramy the better. He's scored 173 league goals for them and 264 club goals for them in total. Ridiculous levels.

This is our record against FCK since Saga took over - 4 wins, 3 draws and 5 losses. Not too bad and hopefully will get better over time.

In addition to leaving football, Agger also left Denmark with his wife. They moved to Marbella in Spain. Agger runs a sewerage company named KloAgger together with his brother, uncle and childhood friend. He also invested in Tattoodo together with friends, Christian Stadil, the owner of Hummel International and a famous tattooist, Ami James. The company is a social platform, where you can find inspiration and share tattoos. It is one of the world's biggest companies of its kind.[64]

Interesting stuff!!

Great updates from everyone, I very much enjoyed catching up.

@Jimbokav1971 I would definitely have sold Valentin for that money as well. He looks good but not amazing. Well done breaking the transfer record.

Daramy has left for PSG in my save, and we just turned down the chance to bring him in on loan because it would completely break our wage budget. However Wind is still with FCK and is top scorer in both the league and Conference.

The guys who are further in the save than me, I wonder what are your thoughts on the AI management and squad building at the likes of Kobenhavn and Midtjylland. In my save they are so far selling off one or two key players every summer and bringing in replacements, although decent, but for much lower fees. Not sure if this is reflective of real life.

Also I was interested in finding out how some of the original Brondby players got on for you guys. I think I noticed Borkeeiet in almost everyone's screenshots. Oh, and Kvistgaarden as well. What about Maxso, Rosted, Kabongo, Skipper, Corlu, Svensson, Radosevic, any reviews? They all seem to be doing decently well for me.

Out of the ones you've listed only Borkeeiet and Skipper remains. The latter has turned into a decent centre back with an average rating that defies his actual ability.

Thorn ~ Bogedal ~ Gregersen ~ Linden ~ Tjaland ~ Kahlenberg

This season the squad is really starting to take the shape that Saga Noren likes for her teams. Thorn initially came in as the frontman and he did a fine job before the arrival of Tjaland, while Bogedal came as his understudy but ended up playing a lot of games at AML due to injuries. Faroese Gregersen was a steal from Esbjerg and I hope he is a mainstay for our future to build around. Linded was another freebie, however he hasn't performed very well in the middle at all. Kahlenberg is a real future talent, while Tjaland is the man we need to lead the line. He's great in the air, he's got a bit of pace and he's an all rounder. The sale of in-form Tim Jonsson for £3.8m freed up the cash to bring in the latter two in January.

We had an incredible run in the Europa League, making it all the way to the semi-finals! We finished 2nd in a tough group with a 2-2-2 record, Valencia were just too strong for us. Demolishing Zenit 10-0 on aggregate gave us a huge confidence boost and we managed to squeeze past Lazio on away goals and Burnley 5-4 on aggregate. The buck stopped in London, where a strong looking Arsenal side beat us on away goals.

Brilliant Season. :applause:Nice to see your squad sharing the goals out.

Not just winning the title, but also getting to the Semi's of the EURO Cup.

Seeing København lose 6 games in a league season though.

In recent seasons in my game they have lost 2, 2, 3, 6, (we won title), 6, 3, 3, 5 and 4, so I have actually seen them lose 6 games before, (surprisingly), but only able to take advantage once. They are enormously strong in my game and over-throwing them is going to be a BIG challenge.

Brøndby IF - 2023-24 Season Review

*long post alert*

history.thumb.jpg.25a4644aa82e3036d9322ac8ace77b19.jpg

:hammer:

arrivals.thumb.jpg.168403f95ef14c42b597eda5263f0c51.jpg

We went for broke in Jan and brought in Daramy on loan (should say from PSG - so that's a bug). Daramy & Kaufmann dismantled Kobenhavn on multiple occasions, both their ex-players :D

2030787994_linedup.thumb.jpg.c4a750b6cdea5d0b80174497b03c0122.jpg

This is a pretty accurate description of how we lined up most of the season, although we also played 4-4-2 fairly often.

league.thumb.jpg.3cf45ee8221dfd42f1ff0aa9f50e53e4.jpg

The league was comfortable in the end. I don't know why the final table is not showing up there but we ended up with 82 points.

Kobenhavn down in 3rd with just 54 points led to Klinsmann being sacked. Although, they did get to the Conference league final but luckily lost to Leverkusen, which means we still have a shot at being the first Danish club to win a European trophy.

cup.thumb.jpg.c6bd2ca5f499303aaec3f16b9cf989b3.jpg

Highlight of the cup (apart from winning the final) was dismantling Kobenhavn in the quarters in a repeat of last year's tie. At that time they were way too good for us, not anymore!

europe.thumb.jpg.9cf3d204c674844f871bd30e15c8bc3d.jpg

Europe eventually turned out to be really disappointing - we did very well in the group stage and we were 3-1 up on aggregate at home against a mid-table Norwegian side with just 45 minutes to go. We proceeded to throw the game away through defensive errors and went out on penalties. I really wanted us to test ourselves against Leverkusen in the next round, but wasn't to be.

finances2.jpg.e6121110e3763607b13eefb94d772412.jpg

Finances improvement is mainly down to the prize money - hopefully our training facilities will now get improved on course this summer.

I think there's something wrong with the shirt sales though - it can't be just 4,528 can it?!

Also, we have our first wunderkid of the save, and he's going to the Euros with Sweden! Jewel of the Brondby academy so far (although he's not Danish).

The other really improved youngster has been Jens Poulsen, brought in from old club Horsens. He has been slowly taking over from Radosevic in the BWM role. His passing and work rate have gone up by 3 & 4 points respectively!

20201124120308_1.thumb.jpg.fd35c371288053121b270449a96cde7f.jpg

Finally, we had a poor intake this year but with one stand-out player who I have high hopes for and is wanted by Hoffenheim. Danish/ Bosnian nationality.

KFUM Roskilde

I stepped out of the the curiously sedate taxi this time and stretched. The driver charged me double as usual. Because of SEK. The ride to the location, just down the road from the festival site was pleasant enough, but when my eyes focused on the sight in front of him, his heart sank… This.. did not look good. I was used to working under bad conditions in Mexico, but this looked even worse. A groundsman shuffled up to me and asked me out for a candlelight dinner. Or asked who I was. I don’t know, I don’t speak Danish. “WHERE. IS. THE. OFFICE?” I said my slowest and clearest English. The aged gent cackled and extended a bony claw towards a shabby brick building. I thanked him and turned away to stride over to the building. As I approached, I could see a cracked and peeling sign over the door that said..

WELCOME TO

KFUM Roskilde logo.png

“This is going to be fun….”, I thought. I opened the door and walked inside. The dilapidated state of the paintwork and rooms did nothing to lift his spirits. After checking in two or three rooms, he hit the jackpot as he saw his name on a nameplate on top of the desk. He walked round the desk and collapsed into the chair.. “Hmm, at least this chair is comfortable”  I thought. He then spotted an envelope on the desk. He opened it, took out the sheet and began to read..

“Hello Raymondo, or should I say Besus Fufoon! This is your new job. Enjoy. They were promoted to this division for the first time this season, however, the title-winning manager had some….problems and had to leave quickly. Your job is here. Enjoy”

That bastard! I opened the newspaper that had been neatly folded on the desk only to see the back pages festooned with my face as the back pages excitedly reported on the hiring.

Well, at least they’re happy about it, I mused. There came a knock at the door and in came my assistant manager Martin Laursen. The ex-Danish international and Aston Villa player. He looked at me with a mixture of horror and despair as he mumbled a greeting. Or an insult. I don’t know, I don’t speak Danish. I asked him to speak in English and he complied, handing me a buff folder. “Don’t worry. We’ve both been screwed by the cartel. Let’s just make the best of it, yeah?”. He looked gratefully at me, as I looked into the folder.

Team setups, training plans, board demands. Bloody hell, this was going to be a tough career. I asked Martin about the team itself, trying to hide the fact that I knew NOTHING about managing a soccer club. Sure, I’d watched LigaMX growing up and thrilled to Cahumentoc Blanco in the 1998 FIFA World Cup, but I had no qualifications at all. Martin grunted and gave me a team sheet

Seemed like a decent enough team for this level. Although we would need to work hard to stay into the division. I sent Martin down to take training and took a deep breath. This was going to be interesting…

Scouting

The one thing I have noticed in the past 2 FM's is that the scouting definitely seems to be getting better and my scouts are much better at finding gems! It has happened again in this save. My scout found a player who was at the Canberra United Academy in Australia and highly rated him. He joined on a free and is now rated as a 5 star potential!

image.thumb.png.006651430eafc65ab45b5c5c580b5b27.png

Looks like a very good prospect! I do love the aspect of finding good young players and nurturing them. I think I might do my youth tracker again now we have the full game!

(31a) Klitten (Driven) has some decent physical attributes but I'm not really sure what to make of him. I certainly don't see him as a playmaker, but maybe the more conservative midfielder alongside?

(31b) Petersen is a 4.5 PA player and our best GK right now is only 3.0 CA, so on that basis he should be plenty good enough to break into our 1st team.

Made a tracker to, well, track my progress on the save. Unfortunately I don't have some data like attendances, etc.

I am really not sure where to go from here. The squad is looking good and well-settled. I don't see any point in bringing in a host of new players and upsetting the balance.

I think I may give it another season with largely the same set of players to see how we can develop and if we can make any progress in Europe.

Sadly, the Board cancelled the training facilities improvement again

Sitting in that draughty office, Martin and I were reviewing how the season had gone. An uneasy truce had melted away to be a solid partnership in the face of adversity. Our form had fallen off a cliff by the end of the first half of the season, leaving us in perilous danger of being relegated. However, the small comfort was that we hadn’t been blown out in any game this season and had only once been beaten in the league by more than a goal! Martin and I agreed that we needed better attack options after the winter break. Martin then slid over another buff folder saying it was our HOYD report on the new youth intake. Opening the folder, I began to read..

Eesh. This wasn’t a great look. But with the way things were going, we wouldn’t be able to splash any cash now for a few seasons. No strikers either. We just had to hope that there could be an outlier, otherwise this was a lost generation…

Brondby IF U19's win the League. Season 12. May 2031

I don't often post stuff about U19 domestic competition, but the fact that all but 1 of the other teams in the league finished with a negative goal difference suggests that we gave everyone pretty significant beatings.

This is the full table.

We have the top 6 goal-scorers in the league.

Milestone goal. Season 12. May 2031

And what a way to become the club record goal-scorer. His 3rd goal of 5 (FIVE) goals against FC København equalled the record and then he went and beat it and beat it again. :applause:

It should be added that the 40 goals he scored for HB Køge were done so under my management. That's where I found him.

96fc97d0b242760527e7d969da1bd0d5.png

He's now scored 229 goals for Brondby IF in 216(6) appearances. I would sell him if someone came in for him with decent money, but surprisingly nobody is interested at all. Never seen anything like it.

2021 Youth Intake

It was the day of the new youth intake from the academy and Martin and I were in our office with Magnus Persson, our HOYD, to talk about the new intake. Magnus handed over a folder and began to speak

Martin and I looked at each other. If this was considered gifted, we were in serious trouble and it made me start to doubt Magnus' competence. I already doubted his intelligence as earlier in the season, I'd found him feeding the pigeons that infested the stadium's rafters. Sh*t everywhere!! I made a mental note to find a replacement ASAP.

June 2022

*Clink* The glasses tapping together made a ringing noise that sounded throughout the office. Martin and I drank deeply from the whisky I'd poured us out. It was the evening after the last game of the season and we had stayed up by the skin of our teeth. We *HAD* to win the last game of the season to have any chance to staying in the division next season, after the team rallied to concede just 5 goals in the rest of the season. A stunning 3-1 win over title-winners AB Gladsaxe and a combination of other results meant we'd have to win to stay up. Nothing else would do. We took an early lead through a Luka Dumic header and battled away to try and make the game safe. BK Frem, themselves in the last safe spot, were battling away to stay up and threatened constantly. Time was ticking away and I was getting ever more desperate. Suddenly, one of those moments in football happened where it's the agony and the ecstasy happening at the same time

That's it!! We were safe!! In the 89th minute! Our side of the dugout, caught up in the frenzy of the excitement. The other, slumped in misery at the mistake. The whistle blew just a few minutes later and we were staying up! We'd only conceded a miserly 18 goals all season, but had only scored 24. An improvement was needed for next season, I fancy..

Super season! Congratulations on the league title, and a great run in Europe.

What happened to that Icelandic new-gen you had? And did you post a screenshot of Gregersen? Is he HG?

You seem to have displeased the FM Gods

Cheers - here's Gregersen:

And here's Porvardarsson. He went to Utrecht for £2.6m, we couldn't afford to bring him over :(

Cheers - yeah Kobenhavn are still decent, but not a 'powerhouse' in my save.

Season 12 Summary. Brondby IF

e9c37d224389c435abf070bc65a35224.png

Summary. Our league form was poor, or rather poor in patches, and reality is simply that our squad isn't deep enough. We lost 2 games at the start of the season and that's my fault, but then we lost twice in the middle of the season, (largely because we had no left back), and then we lost 2 games at the end of the season when we lost both our 1st choice strikers. I can fix the problem at the start of the season, (or rather hopefully the full game will which I am about to upgrade to), the left back position has been resolved by players who were out on loan when I needed them and the striker situation will hopefully be resolved with better decision making by me as to who remains at the club and who leaves. I aim to win the league next season. We retained the Cup and that was great, but we bombed in the Champions League. (although that's only a limited disaster as we got to the Group Stage).

3F Superliga Preliminary Phase. I somehow contrived to lose my Ass Man before the start of the season and worse than that I didn't realise until we came to the 1st league game and all the players were unfit and only then I realised that we hadn't played any pre-season friendlies and the reason we hadn't played any pre-season friendlies was of course because I had delegated arranging the friendlies to....... yes, my Ass Man, who was unfortunately no longer at the club. So after we gave the rest of the league a 6 point headstart we got down to business. We finished the 1st phase exactly 6 points behind the leaders, the same 6 points we have them headstart at the beginning of the season.

3F Superliga Championship Phase. We won the Cup FInal between the FC København 7-2 win and the Esbjerg fB loss but we had been decimated by injury and were toothless without Eriksen and Sørensen *

Sydbank Pokalen. We retained the Cup, but despite romping through all the preceding rounds, we barely crawled over the line without both our 1st choice strikers. I was astonished to win if I'm honest.

Champions League. I was aiming for a 3rd place finish in the league and hopefully some progress in the Knockout stages of the EURO Cup, but we actually got our arses spanked all over the shop. :(

Squad by appearances

Best XI. When the 2nd top goal-scorer scores 32 goals in a season, you know you are doing something right.

Overall best XI

Transfers. The big sale of right back Valentin to Milan for £10M was obviously the main talking point but that I replaced him with not 1 but 3 right backs for £1.7M should be decent business if they turn out to have the required quality.

37b4ee99cfc325a58cd038a92413627c.png

Bach became 1st choice after he arrived and will remain so for some time I think.

Ronni Clausen is certainly going to do a job for us, but I'm not convinced he's going to be a super-star.

c6593a24666fd917b37ce927704f85d1.png

Jonas Olsen is lacking a little physically, but again I think it likely that he will improve enough to contribute for us.

European Golden Boot. Eriksen has now won the European Golden Boot for a 3rd time and still nobody is interested in him.

You seem to be scoring a ton of goals but also conceding a fair few - have you considered a tactical or formation change at all?

BRONDBY IF - Summer of 2024

It has definitely been an interesting summer, with some interesting news to share.

On the transfer front we were very quiet, most of the wage budget was spent in renewing contracts with key players who we do not want to lose. 3 players brought in, one sent out on loan to Midtjylland. Our scouts are really beginning to come good now, Stiven below was spotted by my Colombian scout Echeverria. Zungu, South African LB, spotted by my DOF Patrick Kluivert.

transfers2.thumb.jpg.1fb07b8826f61080b49fab24f987c85f.jpg

Here is Stiven James:

stiven.thumb.jpg.98cdebc1b6b230eaf262095e6b737b43.jpg

And Roger Zungu who will rotate with Riveros for the LWB spot.

zungu.thumb.jpg.723c38c8358345b2c2208608bc807c76.jpg

I was called in for an interview with Premier League side Wolves during the summer, without even applying for it. Did not attend of course. Interestingly Everton have just been relegated on my save and there is a fire sale there - that may be an interesting project for a later date.

wolves.jpg.6e599cf225655eae644828cca3f4d753.jpg

There was eventually a new job for me over the summer though, as I applied to a few national roles once the Euros & Copa America were done. I got 3 offers in total but there was only one I was going to take, which makes the most sense for where this save is going.

sweden.jpg.34dbd37a3d7cf7160a58326e3b07e9df.jpg

In some good news for Danish football, the league has jumped in the coefficients table which means we now get 2 UCL slots. I think we can mostly thank Kobenhavn for their run to the Conference finals.

coeff.jpg.c6e0ab7d2568c09004b241bb7cad8ca7.jpg

And finally a quick update on the early season form - so far so good in the league, but we sadly crashed out of the Champions League early against Zenit St. Petersburg. Honestly the tie was closely fought and they went through on account of being more clinical. We should qualify for the Europa group stages though. Obviously still a long way to go in Europe.

fixtures4.jpg.81caf7a122e5820736c56442895e601e.jpg

BTW, does anyone else think that player ratings are a bit off now, especially since the full game release? None of my attacking players ever cross 8, most of them are in the high 6s or low 7s even after scoring and/ or assisting goals. I feel like they have gone too heavily to the defenders now, most matches one of my back 4 gets MOTM without a goal or assist.

I will consider it further down the line, but the "problem" with us conceding quite so many right now is the poor quality of our defenders. If we are still conceding when our defenders are the same quality as the other areas of our squad then I might have to look at things.

KFUM Roskilde

2021/22 Season

We'd had a lucky escape last season, so the fight was on to avoid being relegated from the newly re-organised 2.Division. To be honest, we were lucky to escape it last time. So I threw **** at a blanket and trialled too many players to count. Anyone who wanted to come in on an Amateur contract was hired, to be maybe released a week or two later. We had no hope and no money. What better way to start a season?

December 2021

Sitting in that draughty office, Martin and I were reviewing how our second season had gone. We'd settled on a home and away formation, one of them being a formation I'd seen through binoculars on a trip to Chile in the off-season. We'd only been beaten twice in the league so far, but both had been hammerings. Like the kind you get when your ex-wife sends you pics of her and her new partner and you reach for the bottle.  Far too many draws, but Martin and I agreed that if we're not losing, then we're not unhappy. Martin then slid over another buff folder saying it was our HOYD report on the new youth intake. Opening the folder, I began to read..

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is e113dc36794bcf892fcb7f1e852c9753.png

Eesh. This wasn't a great look again. But with the level of investment in the team (read: Zero), what else could we expect. We were stuck until we somehow came up with enough cash to invest and that would only happen if we got promoted. Martin and I took a moment to wipe out eyes after hysterically laughing at that idea..

Mid-Season Review

Results

image.thumb.png.d6f0e4d7f7a67a54446c6e8d27746b3d.png

We have been fantastic in the league. Scoring goals for fun. Delap has been simply outstanding winning games on his own at times! The signings we have made (both loan and permanent) have really helped.

League Table

image.png.a433e64f9b4ec3911678020d08b17ddc.png

We are 8pts clear and on route to our first Superliga title! We shouldn't let this slip!

Cup

image.thumb.png.86597375d757f79e2ccf7451c703bb38.png

Well the hope of ticking off 2 titles in one season were dashed when a heavily rotated team were knocked out in extra time! Even the introduction of Delap in the 2nd half wasn't enough!

Player Of Season So Far - Liam Delap

image.thumb.png.7002a58dae9f9943e212736f51eb99e7.png

23 goals in 13 games means says it all. He is 10 goals clear at top of the goalscoring list in the SuperLiga as well!

Youth Intake Preview

I have yet to get a useable player in my intakes yet! Fingers crossed it changes with this one!

Youngsters

This is my current crop of young players in the first team. I have raided Netherlands for a couple recently as well. Please not I wont include loan players. These players are 19 and below!

image.thumb.png.3a1d9b45a9d129ba68d95dc8c2668110.png

Rezaei came in on a free this January from NAC Breda. He is the youngest player in the squad but has huge potential! Made his debut already and can be a big star for us!

image.thumb.png.e1533af809aeffe5041dd0be2fe1be6c.png

Faber was another I picked up from Netherlands on a free this time coming from NEC. He looks a fantastic player for the Danish league and at 17 probably has some of the best mental stats in the whole league.

image.thumb.png.0b978d679f6767c988f3319d06a3a952.png

Schmidt is the player we are getting big offers for. 2.5m offered from Leipzig so we may struggle to keep him. Now a consistent starter on the right hand side!

image.thumb.png.24c9768864e800ee5a7c1ebf34c0d824.png

Larsen is our backup right backup but if he keeps developing the way he is he will start more games ahead of our on loan right back. Really good home grown prospect like Schmidt is!

image.thumb.png.499024eb405a5580c74c8707028fb529.png

This was a great find by my scouts. Playing for Midjytland. Cost us only 37k and is already starting to make in roads in the first team.

image.thumb.png.26b8d2a77f2cc4661152db4c14213294.png

It was a slow start for Mercuri this season. He failed to score in any of his first 7 matches. Since then he has bagged 5 goals in 4 games which means it looks like he has settled down!

image.thumb.png.ad81ebc275dc31357c6e937c979633c0.png

Mujkic is our backup goalkeeper. Does need more development if he is going to trouble our first team yet!

Yeah I really like Faber. At the minute he is getting much more game time as Mercuri and Delap are banging in goals up top! Little hint to look at expirations of contracts in December/January. Thats how I found Faber and Razaei!

Season 7 (2026) - IK Start - Norwegian Premier Division

We defied the media's and boards expectations enormously to finish the season in 5th place just 3 points behind Bodo/Glimt in the last European spot.

We opened the season with a fantastic 4-0 win over Brann which stood us in good stead for the season ahead, I knew we had the players to definitely stay up and push on further. In the Cup we lost to Valerenga 4-1 in the 3rd Round but beat them just a game later 4-1 in the league. We had some big wins this season including scoring 5 times past each of Ranheim, Sandes Ulf, Sandefjord, Stromsgodset and blasting six past Odd. We actually top scored in the league with 81 goals, five more than Valerenga who finsihed 2nd and a full 16 more than winners Rosenborg, our problem was that we conceded too many.

17c911f279df190fab28b8d81326de3a.png

I was sceptical about the odds for Aga to finish top scorer and with around 6 games to go he was well behind Valerenga's Adjei-Broni but 9 goals in the last 5 games of the season saw him top the scoring charts with 35 goals. An injury prone season for Okanovic only saw him score 5 goals but his replacement Cela scored a decent 22 goals in 25 games but also contributed 12 assists.

a6365cbc10acbb65117148112d6d59b4.pngdb79044b74b4fd69f93e208e9d0d9513.png

As you can see we've outdone the Expected xG by a considerable distance but also converted those chances with a conversion rate of around 20% which is amazing effort. Oscar Aga only took 72 shots to score his 35 league goals which is mind-bogglingly low in my opinion.

384290cb2541ce3a3665d3762ea65ee4.png

Finances are an issue, we're heavily in debt to the sum of £3m which puts me in a position of do I carry on here, care-free of the debt piling up or do I make the move now maybe to Sweden who run their league the same time as Norway's? The Goteborg job has come up as they finished 13th this season just gone.

Guys, having completed 4 seasons and finished the first phase by winning the League & Cup double, I am putting this save on hold for now. Properly competing in Europe will definitely take a few seasons at the very least, and I want to try my hand in a couple of other countries for the time being. It's been a lot of fun! #DanskeDanske
