@Jimbokav1971 strong season overall and I think that's a really good price for Kvistgaarden TBH.

Yeah, I liked him, (especially because he was a product of our Academy), but we have so much depth up front that it made sense to move him on for that money.

I don't know what the record is for a Danish sale to an overseas club.

These are all the strikers at the club sorted by PA.

4c1da60eb1498426e20b5fb030945c6b.png

(28a) Østergaard 6'5" was only 4.5 PA when he came through I think. He's interesting because of his height. He will hopefully offer something a little different.

9ba738537e824920037fb98564341c78.png

Juel is a left winger.

Finn Skytte * has been out on loan at OB, but only scored 7 goals this season so still not the finished article. In any case I will be sending him back to OB for another season hopefully.

c896f8ca13f2b5bb96df87e717071064.png

Ronni Brodersen was signed for only £75, (which seems ridiculous).

aab6f97d8e3c6a9f582afb8f5a4339c0.png

(27a) Boilesen is a midfielder.

Hansen HG * has started slowly but will be giving a proper run in the side this season.

3ba1f0d21bc7a60e21ea7c3df64aeeb6.png

Eriksen is a goal-scoring machine. He's scored 139 goals for us in just 134(3) games. He is averaging at better than a goal a game over 4 seasons.

32ec16fdc66c51da918c373a5b700352.png

Øglænd 6'3" is a player I really like the look of, and importantly he's a big man who doesn't have the "plays with back to goal" PPM.

f8fa5d5bb74ba3a43b125a511d4a6b9a.png

(26c) Mouritsen 6'3" is a midfielder.

Olsen is one that I'm not sure about. He is going to have to do well this season or risk being sold next year.

80e52eb5566a07b7f384c026e4b405f3.png

Thomsen 6'4" * looks great to me to play as a foil to Eriksen, but it's just not working for him for some reason. Maybe it's the "back to goal" PPM?

c1dfd2d970bbe72d205bfce16f0e0765.png

Kaqiu (KVX) MR is a winger.

(29d) Mogensen is a...... well I'm not completely sure what he is, but he isn't as striker.

(28c) Petersen looks pretty raw, but he's also come through so young that we have more time to develop him.

b404cab250d89295bff41b80964166e2.png

Christian Bonde intrigues me. I love a good balance attribute in strikers and I think with a little work he could develop rather nicely.

6c6acc30299195b17758348049f854ae.png

Tranberg has stagnated a little and I'm not sure he's going to make it at the top level. I keep looking at his 5x U21 Caps and wonder what he showed that was better than some of the other brilliant options of the same age. I think I want to loan him out, but nobody was interested last season.

afb880cae36575e4c1ba64be155a8ce6.png

Mikkel Iversen is a player I really like the look of. He's another lefty, (we have quite a few), but I think if I can just improve him a little he coule be very good.

f71abfd1e52897ec9e0aa76a24c04ba8.png

The problem with all these strikers is that they are young and inexperienced and I have just cashed in on Kvistgaarden. I think that we have to accept that though as a fact of life because we need to generate cash even with our relatively successful runs in Europe. Until we are in the Champions League on a regular basis, we need to be a selling club. I plan on keeping 4 strikers at the club who will rotate in pairs and everyone who is too old to play for the U19's will go out on loan for competitive football. I just have to decide who I'm keeping.

Question to all. Which 3 would you keep with Eriksen

Guys, has there been an update? My players have become absolutely useless at scoring one on ones again. I ask because the team names during the match-day are not the stupid 3 letter abbreviations anymore but longer. So I was wondering if there was some sort of update that happened.

I have to get past Sparta Prague and Istanbul Baseksehir to just reach the group stages of the Conference league? I thought this competition was supposed to be easy! Or did I just get sh*t draws

I think it depends largely on the luck of the draw. There are some big boys knocking about usually.

Season 6 (2025) Summer Transfer Update - IK Start

The first thing to mention is the board/owners they bailed the club out big time, we were circa £2m in debt and they ploughed £4m into the club.

7260b4a5a94fd0f2a1df95186d21e7ff.png

Its not projected to last though...

74cfc4f9a655f8c551bce4a009f927af.png

Anyway, we'd already been given nearly £1m to spend on transfers if we needed it.

The transfer history is split between the two seasons so bare with;

8055e346493def2bc0179131d68abc74.png

He was my best midfielder but he was unhappy and wanted to leave for a payday, I can't blame him.

5e4273ca11035b9622379a4ca569adda.png

Badran was a squad player so that was decent money and Tryggvason had already signed up to join KR when I joined. Not sure I would have kept him anyway.

1793fe13c1797d32dcb7e9d1cd828b66.png

Dakir is now the first choice GK, Hvidt replaced Segberg in midfield. Sadiq is the new RW and Youssef on the left as we change tact slightly and push the wide midfielders forward to RW & LW. I made the Okanovic loan deal permanent, 11 goals in 12 games last season shows his worth. Marthinussen can play anywhere across the back line and Jakobson is another option up front. Sormo was listed for £200k, half his value, he joins as first choice RB and Aga will partner Okanovic up top.

Our first team now looks like this;

b43f71c4b487d7864d81cd575e00665a.png

Loads of current ability but some potential there too.

Oh it's well and truly back. Just been FM'd once more and this time the opposition keeper was MOTM. At home against Vejle :seagull:

That sinking feeling when your striker is clean through on goal but you know he's going to miss and there's nothing you can do. Oh I've missed it.

I think I should take a break

Reputation. Jun 2029

It's going to be really hard to catch up with København in terms of reputation. They just have so much money and so many good players that they are on another level and I find it astonishing that we have ever beaten them never mind about beaten them to the actual title.

@ToMexico!! very unlucky with the play-off defeat, hope you can bounce back.

Thank you guys I appreciate the kind words.

@Ronaldo Beckham would you say there is still the European bias towards English clubs? As seemed to be the case in FM20? As I’d expect Barca to put up more of a fight than Liverpool

Nah I wouldn't myself but maybe you are right.

I done better then I thought I would in my first Champions League campaign.

I am knocked out of the Champions League and that is me done for this challenge. I am happy enough with my success with AB and Brondby.

I wish you all luck with this challenge. I just didn't want to spend season after season trying to win the Champions League with Brondby which would be really hard to do so.

Someone in here will do it I know that for sure. I just aint got the paitence lol.

Brondby 2025/26 Overview

bcc7407bcf0b8bc7f1f66208bdffbf96.png

It was a busy winter transfer window, letting our star centre back Nicolaisen leave before going on a free to Lorient in the summer was the catalyst for bringing in some young centre back replacements including splashing out on Teo Wagner.

So, we managed to completely bottle the league title. With 5 games to go, we were 3 points clear of FCK, only to lose 3 in a row and end up finishing in 3rd place. We had a good campaign in Europe, eventually being knocked out in the semis to tycoon-owned Southampton. However, we did manage to win some silverware, beating FCK in the semis and Nordsjaelland in the final of the cup!

Brondy IF - 2022-23 July & Aug update

fixtures2.jpg.22b5e07dfd4556f2a89c5167323b667f.jpg

Pretty poor start, I saw the fixtures and wanted 15 points from the first 5 games. Two absolutely shocking home defeats, one where we got FM'd and the other we just weren't at the races. All these people saying the game is too easy, I have no idea what they're on about :idiot:

Here is the early league table.

Guys, need advise. Which of the below 4 CBs would you be looking to play in your first team. How would you play them?

Spoiler

I have been playing Rosted and Maxso, who my assistant also reckons are the best. They are both in the last year of their contracts and 29 years of age. Maxso is also the club captain.

On the other hand, Skipper & Kabongo are younger and also both home-grown from the academy. Skipper has scored a few goals from corners too. I fielded bids of up to 1 million for him over the summer and was about to sell him but then pulled out at the end.

Midgets move to South Africa pays off he lifts the South African Championship title in his second season. Fair to say it was relatively easy!

25856cc8012d3ee51093b5b8ba88746b.png

Very easy some would say! After the concerns at the end of last about losing nearly all my squad because of contract expiries I managed to keep hold of all of them and they smashed it! South African Premiership next season!

Once again though nearly our whole squad it out of contract and the board aren't letting me offer deals. With a small increase in wage budget we should manage to keep most of them but we will be losing the likes of Ratshilima and Sangweni, both who have been amazing this season.

In other news the board have let me take the course to get my Continental A Licence.

Youth Intake Day. Season 11. Brondby IF.

We've got 1x 5.0 PA player so I can't complain, but I will be honest with you and admit that I was hoping for better.

a5f31a27798c0fde64a763f844f233ec.png

(30a) Noah is the best of the bunch and he certainly looks decent. We could do with his physicals being a little better, but maybe that's balanced up with some decent key technical attributes. On the 1 side we didn't really need another striker at all, but on the other side we know that you earn more from selling a striker than you do any other position so maybe he will serve us well. Let's just hope that I can get his physicals up and get him scoring.

Brondby End of Season Update | Season 4 23/24

So after finally taking charge in January I always knew the rest of the season was going to be about realizing what parts i have to work with and what I will need to add going forward. There wasn't a massive amount of change that I wanted to add or could afford due to the terrible financial state the club was in. In the end I decided that I would add to the mess we were in and bought in left back Andreas Poulsen on loan at £11k p/w. With what transfer budget I had left I decided to spend it on bringing over some of my old staff from AB as I really need to increase the scouting knowledge this club has.

Overall things went well. When I took over I was thinking that we would be able to qualify for the Champions group when the league splits in 2, but thankfully and in hindsight it was better that we didn't qualify for that and were instead in the relegation group. There was never a danger of us getting relegated so our only aim became getting the top spot and reaching the European places playoff. It ended up becoming a 3 way fight with all 3 teams reaching the top spot at one stage, but thankfully we were able to finish top and set up the playoff game against of course AB!

They had really struggled since I left and was able to capitalize on their struggles and win the game 2-1 and give ourselves a chance at playing some much needed European football next season.

* * * * *

The aim for this coming season is quite simple. I have to try and sort out the finances as best I can. I am going to be allowing players on a high wage to leave and while trying to trim the wage budget, I am also going to have to rebuild the squad as there are some real weaknesses. I'm hoping that next year we can finish comfortably in the top 3 and depending on how the big teams do, maybe sneak in a title challenge but a lot will depend on the reinforcements I bring in and also how the fixture congestion gets IF we qualify for Europe.

I selected a weakened squad for the last 2 games because we were already guaranteed to finish 2nd, (so I played the kids).

EURO Cup 2 Golden Boot. When one of our players win the Euro Cup 2 Golden boot, you might be forgiven for thinking that Eriksen had won it. As it happens the top scorer in the competition is Finn Skytte * who has been on loan at OB all season and who has scored 10 Euro Cup 2 goals in 14 appearances, and also 14 3F Superliga goals in 19(6) appearances.

European rankings. We've rocketed up the rankings in recent seasons which seems strange when we aren't even playing in the Champions League. It would seem that the weighting for playing in the Euro Conference is the same as playing in the Champions League.

Season 6 (2025) - IK Start - Norwegian First Division

I previously mentioned that I was confident we could better the play-offs this season and we did that, we blitzed most teams. We went 19 games unbeaten from the start of the season before losing to Sogndal. We won 9 games on the trot before annoyingly losing the last game of the season to Asane.

3b0d9762ed418e866bb47c2b73ded325.png

We reached the Fourth Round of the Cup beating Tynset, Rilindja and FKUM Oslo before losing 2-1 to Stabaek.

We were incredible in front of goal this season, scoring 96 goals in the league and another 16 in four cup games. New signing Aga was the main perpetrator scoring 44 goals in 32 games and ending the leagues top scorer with 37 in 28 games. Okanovic scored 28 in 25 games but his season ended prematurely with a couple of injuries. Jakobsen, Skaanes and Youssef all contributed their share of goals. Creatively full backs Sormo and Sigurdsson prospered with 13 and 11 assists each whilst Youssef (12), Grundt (11), Aga (10) and Sadiq (10) all chipped in too.

0d9ec9cbdf4f7986773f97b9f92e8fe6.png

Financially we lost money hand over fist but have ended the year with a positive balance and been given £2.6m to spend on improving the squad and an increased weekly wage budget to boot.

Best result yet :D

Very nice win. :applause:

It took us 12 games in this save to beat them, and I took over on 11th Jun 2024, so I lost the 1st away game and then won the first 2 home games. I did lose 6 consecutive games against them though.

We're starting to get there and we've won 2 and drawn 1 of the last 4 games and the game we lost was when I played the kids and we still scored twice against them. Certainly reasons for optimism despite their ridiculous squad. The sooner that someone buys Mo Daramy the better. He's scored 173 league goals for them and 264 club goals for them in total. Ridiculous levels.

Big Bid. Jun 2030. Brondby IF

I forgot to take a screenshot of the bid itself but it was something along the lines of this.

£3.3M up front.
£2.2M in instalments.
about £1.5M after 5 INT appearances.
Assorted other clauses totalling £3.75M
30% of profit.

I've refused it and set the asking price at £20M. I'm in no rush to sell because Øren (NOR) has 3 years on his contract. Ideally I would keep him for at least 1 more season and then get a loan back clause in the deal for the next season.

I got a hard Brexit in this save so he needs  WP so assuming he would get one, I think Liverpool need to be willing to pay more of a Premium for him. Especially as I'm in no rush to sell.

A couple of times I've wondered what our record sale is, and also what the record sale from a Danish club is.

The highest fee we have received for a player is £8.58M for Daniel Agger from Liverpool

The highest fee we have paid for a player is £3M to buy Daniel Agger back from Liverpool

I might make a rule that I'm not willing to pay more than £3M for a player while at Brondby IF. I certainly won't break the record lightly.

To my shame, although I knew that Agger went back to the same club that he joined from, I knew it wasn't FC Midtjylland, but didn't know who it was. If I was to guess I think I might have gone for FC København. In hindsight though, I knew it was a smaller big club so I knew it wasn't them.

I'm surprised that Agger still isn't at the club in some capacity. Does anyone know what he's doing now? Media in Denmark maybe?

Ebbe Sand is a Coach with the National Team after leaving his role as DoF here before the save started after 7 seasons here as a player.
Kim Vilfort is the HoYD and spent 12 season here as a player.
Mogens Krogh is our U19 GK Coach after spending 12 seasons here as a player.

Thomas Kahlenberg is a Coach for the U19 National team after 12 years here over 2 periods and then a stint as our U18 Coach.
Morten Wieghorst is the Ass Man at the National Team after just 3 seasons here & is better known for his long stint at Celtic
John Jensen is a Danish Icon never mind about a Brondby Icon. He came through the Academy here and spent 15 seasons with us in 3 different stints and the 4 years as our Ass Man and then another year as a coach. He's currently an unemployed scout and I will be trying to employ him just because.
Lars Olsen is the Manager of Wales. he spent 9 years here as a player in 2 stints and then also coached here for 6 years.
Eriksen is our current goal-machine who will surely go on to become a legend unless I sell him.
Auri Skarbalius is the current Manager of Silkeborg and spent 11 seasons at the club as a player.
Kvistgaarden sold his soul for Chinese Yuan.
Maxsø 6'3" is an unemployed Coach after I released him after 9 seasons with us in 2 spells.

The most expensive Danish player in my save is someone I will call RNK and he went from Porto to PSG for £30.6M.
The highest Transfer fee paid by a Danish club was obviously by FC København and they paid £15.75M for a player from PSV 2 seasons ago. (More money than sense).
The highest Transfer received by a Danish club was received by FC København when they sold a Ugandan teenager to Chelsea for £18.5M. (So £18.5M is what I need to beat).

Big Sale. Season 12. Aug 2030.

I didn't really want to sell him, but I just couldn't say no to £10M cash.

He has only been with us for 2 seasons and had only just become 1st choice. It means that we have £30M in the bank and that should give us a nice cushion to allow us decline bids successfully for anyone that we don't want to sell. We now have a transfer kitty of £11M and this should allow us to bring in a number of high potential domestic starlets.

The only real problem is that Valentin is 20 years old, and the player he was replacing is Oli Olsen who is 30.

I guess I better find myself another right back on the hurry up.

In addition to leaving football, Agger also left Denmark with his wife. They moved to Marbella in Spain. Agger runs a sewerage company named KloAgger together with his brother, uncle and childhood friend. He also invested in Tattoodo together with friends, Christian Stadil, the owner of Hummel International and a famous tattooist, Ami James. The company is a social platform, where you can find inspiration and share tattoos. It is one of the world's biggest companies of its kind.[64]

Interesting stuff!!

Great updates from everyone, I very much enjoyed catching up.

@Jimbokav1971 I would definitely have sold Valentin for that money as well. He looks good but not amazing. Well done breaking the transfer record.

Daramy has left for PSG in my save, and we just turned down the chance to bring him in on loan because it would completely break our wage budget. However Wind is still with FCK and is top scorer in both the league and Conference.

The guys who are further in the save than me, I wonder what are your thoughts on the AI management and squad building at the likes of Kobenhavn and Midtjylland. In my save they are so far selling off one or two key players every summer and bringing in replacements, although decent, but for much lower fees. Not sure if this is reflective of real life.

Also I was interested in finding out how some of the original Brondby players got on for you guys. I think I noticed Borkeeiet in almost everyone's screenshots. Oh, and Kvistgaarden as well. What about Maxso, Rosted, Kabongo, Skipper, Corlu, Svensson, Radosevic, any reviews? They all seem to be doing decently well for me.

Brøndby IF - 2023-24 mid-season review

Sometimes a change in formation is all that is required!

So after losing 3 straight league games for the first time on this save, something had to be done. The 4-4-2 was not working anymore - I decided to go to my tried & trusted 4-3-3 which has always served me well. Lowered the tempo & the passing in an effort to exert more control on games. The results - so far so good!

Here is the new tactic - which has also given a fresh lease of life to our only AM Rezan Corlu who has come in from the cold to suddenly become a key player for us. Makes it even better that he is HG.

433.jpg.51c1523ec8e1bf24746fe90e09b471d4.jpg

The fixtures since the last update:

fixtures3.jpg.a15e3f642a86900369220d95aab2187e.jpg

The game seems completely different to my earlier seasons which were about quick counter attacks and pacy strikers. We need to be a lot more patient & probing and I have seen a lot more goals coming from all over the team. I am quite impressed by the ME now - seeing that it has so many dimensions to it. The only thing I would say is that I would wish the AI teams would attack me more when they are a goal or two down.

Anyhow, here is the updated league table.

table4.jpg.8064fe5da2b76ebb79bfbf03df3d1cb5.jpg

It's looking good if we can maintain this run of form, and especially if FCK continue to sh*t the bed like they are doing

We also managed to top our Conference league group and are safely through the next round.

340649571_uclgrp.jpg.c21ec157a2098b7ca042bac4dee95d7b.jpg

The squad stats sorted by appearances as always. I'd say that the other big change apart from the tactic that worked for us was dropping club captain Maxso for HG youngster Anton Skipper who has been phenomenal - 7.65 avg. rating and also 7 goals already from CB.

stats.thumb.jpg.51a2ef9f7f42972d09befd8f4ac99a85.jpg

Finally in other good news the board offered me a new deal which was accepted along with a nice bonus for winning the league if & when it happens!

I have tried to not post too much info on obvious players because I appreciate that I'm ahead of everyone and don't want to influence their signings.

Happy to respond and just hide anything significant though.

FC København have more money than they know what to do with in my save. EURO Cup Group stages for the 1st 2 seasons and the Champions League Group Stages every season since then. That's an enormous cash difference compared to even us who have won a European Trophy and been beaten Finalists too. It's just on a whole different level.

Spoiler

They usually have a few good loans in each season, but this season they have only 1.

Mo Daramy has been an absolute beast for them but they have sold some good players too.

Stamenic went to PSG.
Bøving went to Milan.
Óskarsson went to Inter.
Wagué went to Sevilla.
Ferreira went to Sporting.

They have produced some phenomenal player in my save.

2026. Teenage striker to Inter for £3.6M.
2026. Teenage winger to Saudi Arabia for £6M.
2026. Teenage MC to PSG for £6.75M.
2027. Teenage midfielder to Chelsea for £18.5M.

What with the Champions league money and the player sales cash they have literally had a bottomless pit of cash.

I'd say that they have bought particularly well but have been REALLY helped by the fact that their Intake has produced at least 1 REALLY good player every single season.

Hey ok I have decided I will join in with this, when FMT21 comes out a week tomorrow (hopefully), I will get going with the save.

So just to get things right I start in 2.Division, fAp3nC.jpg what about rep though? OgwdEy.jpg

I gave them absolutely nothing.

Which means...... that I did the deal rather than the DoF.

We were struggling at right back, (and we are again now), so I might have to see what's available.

End Of Season

Sorry been a bit slow this version currently as work is a bit hectic. But finally finished my first season under Brondby!

image.thumb.png.c28cdb148c29ca15b5a5ae48240cc7b5.png

I shifted formation to a 4-4-2 wide diamond formation for the 2nd half of the season and man did we start to bang in some goals! Averaging nearly 4 a game! One slip up away and Nykobing which was just one of those games! Beat my former club on last day of the season which meant....

League Table

image.png.8a661760ec1e57d79ed878a776ade9e9.png

We cost Jammerbugt promotion with that final day battering. We were never really under any pressure once we got going and will be joining the big boys next season!

Cup

image.thumb.png.86f7b6e7c9f99ec6b9d7ac92804f0b22.png

A very good season in the cup was ended in the semi final stage by Esbjerg. A competitive game but their finishing was better in the 2nd leg!

Pavlovic has been fantastic. Scoring 29 goals from 27 starts! Rated as the best player at the club and he certainly showed why!

Up and Coming Youngsters

As per usual I like to keep an eye on some youngsters. I brought all 3 in during the winter transfer window and both have started to get some game time.

Schmidt came on a free transfer from Lyngby. Really solid mental already for a 16 year old and has the good old fashioned pace and a bit of dribbling for a winger. Could be a very good prospect for us!

Larsen at first sight isn't as developed as Schmidt but those mental are incredible for a 16 year old at this level. Some high single figure attributes that we can change into double figures with good training and we have a solid player on our hands here! Signed on a free from Midtjylland (who I really need to learn how to spell without checking 4 times!)

Foged is the oldest of the 3 at 19 but was brought in from Nordsjaelland for 350k. Solid finishing and good touch and technique. 5 goals from 6 starts is a very good return and hopefully he can reach that potential!
