Edward Young, from Night Thoughts.

By Nature’s law, what may be, may be now;
There’s no prerogative in human hours:
In human hearts what bolder thought can rise,
Than man’s presumption on tomorrow’s dawn?
Where is tomorrow? In another world.
For numbers this is certain; the reverse
Is sure to none; and yet on this perhaps,
This peradventure, infamous for lies,
As on a rock of adamant we build
Our mountain hopes; spin out eternal schemes,
As we the fatal sisters would outspin,
And, big with life’s futurities, expire …

Best championship team for building a youth development type successful squad?

I'm biased, but Blackburn have a Category 1 academy and are currently sitting near the top of PL2.

We also started a league game last weekend vs QPR with our full back 4 being academy graduates :)

Alright guys, so i'm also in need in figuring out what team to start with. I'll run with the Dutch, Belgian, English, German, and Swiss leagues for certain and would prefer to try a team that's in the top 4. What team sounds interesting to you lot?

And another question, what country's leagues should I use as 6th option? I personally like running 6 countries at once because it makes the competition overview page look right on my monitor.

Hertha BSC in Germany might be interesting to you. While they are far from being top 4 they have received a lot of money from an investor, upgraded their squad and have 100 million yet to come, which AFAIK is modeled in the game

Go PSV and see how much you can get out of Götze, a player who is far too good to be playing in the Dutch league. :brock:

Mmm, could be cool to jump ship to them in a later phase of the save. There's a solid chance i'll try out some teams that don't appeal to me quite yet.

Thats my blade's internet speed, I play football manager on Shadow (The Cloud Gaming Service).

although I do believe certain major citys in UK now have VirginMedias Gig1 plan available with speeds over 1Gbps, the times we live in.

I was actually thinking on going Vitesse but you might have got me with the idea of having Götze- who I already had fun with with Dortmund on FM18. Hmmm.

Club Brugge have some good young talents

Diatta, Okereke, De Ketelaere, Lang (on loan)

and some good experience

Mignolet, Vanaken, Rits

Netherlands: Vitesse

Belgium: Genk

England: Top 4? Difficult to say this year. I would try Chelsea to rebuild.

Germany: Leverkusen

Switzerland: Young Boys

6th League: Italy, France, Spain?

Can we call Mignolet good yet?

Based on the current top 4, choose Southampton ;)
